AMEN XLVII: Who's the Leader, Again?

[Zefir]

Mr E's Room

"Yeah," Zefir adds. " I can just hope candipire understands it."

"On another note. do you know any high Tech engenieres that woul work with AMEN? Zanes attack made it clear I'm barly of help against those killing specialized people. I just want to make a fight even."

Mr E's Room

"I've been having some talks, but no takers. Skyside is draining the people who would work with us away."

Mr E thinks for a bit, remembering a detail.

"But, if we found one, there would be a way around needing Malice. There's one spare tank, its sitting in the Altantis base, but getting it would require dealing with all the plants that want to eat you in there."

[Zefir]

Mr E's Room

"A tank?" Zefir replies, a bit unsure how it could help him in close combat, but on another point he got nothing for big monster fights or any long range attacks.

"Can you give me some more informations about the plants? If I go there I should prepare myself."

[ThePhantom]

Mr E's Room

"A cloning tank, not a weapon. For that kind of weapon, well, we've been working on some machines for some time now. As for the plants, they were made by an exmember. Acid, poison gases, vines that will try to snap your neck, inplant seeds into your brain, eat you. That sort of thing."

Mr E thinks for a bit.

"Frankly I would have send Greed squad to clear it out, but I need them to guard our holding at Riverside."

[Zefir]

Mr E's Room

"Ohhh. Well guess I missunderstood you then." Zefir replies. with a shrug. "I remember her. I think I got in contact with one of her plants befor. Mind seducing spores and such. Still, If those plant don't have special abilities to resist fire and ice I migth be able to clear the way. The question is how do we get it here when the way is clear?"

Mr E's Room

"We have two opinions, teleport it over, or send a sub to carefully move it. That part isn't too hard. As for the plants resistances, I'm not sure. She likely would have put in some safeguards, but she didn't exactly leave notes for me to look over."

Mr E can't read people's minds after all.

[Zefir]

Mr E's Room

"Well, I thought you might have seen them. If they showed to use fire or so you could have seen it." Zefir says "So you rather want to try getting this Malice guy first?"

Mr E's Room

"Its your decision. I have some people looking for Malice already through. So, you might want to try to handle the plants, but your'e the member and I'm not."

Mr E shrugs his shoulders. Giving information is his job, its up to the members what they do with it.

[Zefir]

Mr E's Room

"For me you are more a member then some others around here." Zefir replies. "I prepare myself. You should be ready to transport the tanks."

Zefir starts to turn around, but stops .

"Oh and it would be good if you can tell me something about the machines you mentioned. Might as well 'test' them down there."

[ThePhantom]

Mr E's Room

"Those machines? Well, I can do that. Remember that drill I used during an attack by WATCH?"

Mr E presses a few keys and a display of the drill machine comes up on the monitors.

"That is the kind of the machine, with some additions based on the model. The henchmen have been working on that project for some years now. It was something Gordon set up but they weren't ready to go in large numbers until about the start of this year."

((I'm not sure if Zefir was involved in this scene you mentioned.))

"I don't really need a larg number. One personalized Version for me should be enougth I guess." he replies. even if he had thought Mr E might have something more suited for a one vs one battle.

(Well, that's why he put an image of the drill on the scene.)

"A personalized one? Well, you'll have to go to the engineering bay to get that set up. Shouldn't take too long once you say what you want."

Mr E doesn't have a set one for his own use, just the one which is ready. The special machine he got for fighting is something he bought, and its a bit larger than the drills made by AMEN.

((The thing is with my char not involved I barly remember the drill.))

"I clear that up" Zefir says. "so how do I get to atlantis? I have never been there befor."
He will talk to the henchman likly befor leaving to atlantis, but I assume they will need the time he needs to clear atlantis to make the changes.

(Fair enough)

"The teleporters have that location in their settings. It won't take long for you to get there that way. So, here's a map to the engineering bay."

From a printer comes out a current route from E's room to the engineering bay, which Mr E hands over.

"I wish you success in this venture."

Mr E's Room

Zefir takes the map and looks at it for a moment.

"Well, thanks." he replies and then turns around to leave for the engineering bay.

Mr E waves and turns back to the monitors.

Well then zefir heads tor the bay first. maybe he can find something usefull after all, like oil or so.

"Hey guys. I heared your working on something down here, right?"

Engineering bay

The engineering bay is a large cavernous room, with lots of drills, helicopters, and vans in various states. Not too many people appear to be here, but it is a large room. A guy who was leaning into a open machine straightens out at Zefir's call. He rubs off his oily hands on his overalls.

"Yeah, that's true. So, you would be Mister Zefir looking for a custom machine, yaright?"

Engineering bay

Zefir takes a look around. he barly noticed the differetn areas in the base, since most things happen to be in the Main Room. Sad thing that there aren't enougth member to get all these rooms filled with PC^^

"Yep, seems like your up to date." he says to the guy I assume is a henchman?
"It should suit my style, endure a bomb for example. I don't wat to blow it accidently ba myself."

He is indeed a henchman. And he can't help the lowering numbers of AMEN, its out of his control the lack of activity.

"I see, well I like to think that my work can take a blast pretty well. So, Mister Zefir any special things you want on it? Flamethrowers, lasers, chain lanchers? I'm working on new things to put on these machines."

Outside AMEN

Filii approaches AMEN. He wears his usual attire: a suit complete with a topcoat and cane. He doesn't lean on the cane, but uses it just for show. Filii stops short of coming near AMEN. It is an association of the malicious, evil, and nefarious. He wouldn't be surprised if the entire area in front of the base were trapped, and his next step would kill him.
He lifts his cane, and it morphs into a flare gun. He launches a flare towards the base, low enough that it won't be seen by anyone but those inside the base. It stops short of the base and falls to the ground (if nothing stops it before then) but it leaves a purple trail. The flare gun turns back into a cane, and Filii waits.

Nothing seems to stop the flare, expect the great massiv door of AMEN that stands right there. With a clong the flare should bounce of the door . A moment later ahole in the wall opens and an eye like object on looks out of it, just like the one form Star Wars Jabba the Hut entrance. It looks around for the source of the noise, not really hard to find due to the purple trail.

"What's your business?" a computer voice asks.

Outside AMEN

Filly doesn't at all react to the eye. In a calm tone of voice, as if he were talking to a close friend, he introduces himself.
Hi. I'm Filii Tenebrarum. I was interesting in joining this association of yours. Could you kindly direct me to someone who could help me with joining?
He starts forward, hoping nothing bad happens to him on his walk towards the front door.

Engineering bay

"The chain launcher, Mister Zefir, is a special device that shoots a chain out a high velocity. Mister E puts grapples on the one he uses, but you could put things like heated knifes or small drills on the chains instead."

Gears walks over to a crate full of various machines and starts digging around for a chain launcher.

[Zefir]

Outside AMEN

"Filii Tenebrarum.... no entry in dattabase....detect keyword 'join'." the computer voice replies. It stays quiet for a moment, maybe calling someone inside.
"Person able to solve joining called. Enter and wait in Main Room." The voice says and the eyeball heads back into the door.
The other big wing of the door opens up offering Filii to enter. If he goes inside he will stand in a short hallway high enougth to even allow a dragon to stand. There are alcoves rigth and left at the wall, offering dark spots to hide something. As mentioned the way is shor and leads into a big room, known as the [Main Room]. a couch, some armcharis and a TV can be found in the middle of the room. There are a few henchman running around, but none does seem to care for Filii.

"That sounds intressting. I guess it works like a bola, just with a chain insteaad of a rope. Not a bad idea, could be usefull to capture people." Zefir replies. While gear is searching Zefir takes a look over the drill.
"What can the construction hold? Can is withstand atank grenade?"

Short Hallway to Main Room
In the short hallway, Filii stops and looks around, thinking, they could fit a dragon in here. He doesn't want to seem obtrusive, or to interfere with anything important that may be going on, so he only waits a minute. He then proceeds forward into the main room and looks around for the person he was supposed to meet.

"Oh it should Mister Zefir. And if it doesn't I'm going to find out who was stealing metals from me. I may need books and others designs to make things, but I pride myself on the quality of what this workshop makes. Ah, got one."

Gears stands up and holds a device in both hands. He tries to gesture at a connect on one end, while point the other end which has an open away from Zefir and himself.

"See, I install in, then the connectors make it so when you hit the button the chain is launched out. Its a combination of springs and pistons that make it work."

[Zefir]

Engineering bay

"I see." he replies to Gear's answer. Then he brings up the chain thrower.
Zefir especially watches the open, since it might also shoot a chain simular thing. Especially since it doesn't use fire or an explosion to shoot.
"It should be very helpfull, indeed."

"What can you tell me about the speed? Can it outspeed normal cars on the street?" Not that many people use cars here anyway.^^

Main Room

From one of the other hallways a man enters the Main room. He stands out from the henchman who all look the same. He wears jeanst, a t-shirt, glovelettes and a bag with a skull in the shape of a bomb. As he enter he is reading through a paper. As he is done he crumples it up and throws it at the next henchman. "Burn it." he tells him which the henchman will do. He takes a deep breath befor he heads over to Filly.

"Hello. I was told you want to join AMEN? If so fill out the form and tell me something about you." The man will take a paper from a near table and offer it to Filly. It includes all from the MEMBERSHIP FORM you can fin at the first post of the thread.

"Well, I think might go faster than a car, Mister Zefir. We didn't bother to test if it launches faster than the cars we have. Based on what I've seen it should be for a limited distance, but I'm not sure."

Gears goes to place the chain launcher on a bench.
