Giving this thread a bump to prevent it falling to the wayside.

All of the builds that have been made on here have been great so far.

Man, back when I had time I really wanted to contribute to your last posts.. alas, Uni.

    Anyway, I'd like to suggest:
    Lu Bu from Souten Kouro

Mainly because theres a huge difference between Lu Bu in the games and Lu Bu in the anime. The main difference is Lu Bu's anger and power grant him the ability to run at super speeds and accomplish very acrobatic feats (like running on a chain being thrown at him and forcing his dead horse's head to bite someone else's head off). Oh, and he gets super strength.

"But Xerlith, doesn't the build cost an awful LOT of XP because of all the buyoffs?".
Yes. It does. Fortunately, you have access to the Avatar Spirit. Raava, who keeps all your previous lives' memories. And so it happens, she was once in a kettle.
In D&D, the kettle's called Thought Bottle, costs 20,000 GP and completely overrides the XP cost. Cheesy? Yep. But you're the Avatar, they've gotta deal with it. The whole team can pool their wealth, since the item's invaluable for crafting expenses, casting spells and other stuff.

Well, "items". 2000GP for Iron Will from Otyugh Hole, 4900GP for DarkChaosShuffling it away for something useful.

Ancestral Relic: A necklace, which becomes a Necklace of Natural Attacks.
+5 Ghost Touch Throwing Teleporting is one way to enchant it.

The following are not perfect copies but instead derivatives of the base characters, and may not meet the standards requested.

Forgot something: These designs were originally made for use by my DM ina campaign I am part of. As such, they suffer from being made according to a few house rules.

They start with 3 traits, not 2. They can take 2 drawbacks, and gain a bonus feat instead of two bonus traits. They may only take up to 3 drawbacks. They may buy up to two additional feats for 200gp each and two weeks of training each.

Meryl (beautiful, beautiful Meryl)is a simple case of quickdraw with guns (3.5 DMG, or the awful PF guns if you're a philistine) or crossbows with TWF. The trick is that the crossbows are not magical, but the bolts have been hit with Greater Magic Weapon. I'll put something together.

Seeing as how this thread came back from the dead (hopefully through a True Resurrection, and not some form of Necromancy), and given the fun I had making Illidan in the Video Game Antagonists thread, I think I'm gonna challenge myself a bit and try my had at FMA's Edward Elric.

Off the top of my head, I'm gonna be looking at either Half-Golem or Renegade Mastermaker, just gotta figure out a good way to emulate the Alchemy system. Binder comes to mind, as well as Runesmith, but we'll see what else sparks a creative thought with a bit more research.

Is Armorist from 3rd party pathfinder legit? Because then Erza Scarlet would be a breeze. It's from Spheres of Power which is widely accepted of being balanced ... same as pathfinder psionics.

Honestly I've done a lot of Fairy Tail with Spheres/Path of War. Aurora Fist Mystic for Natsu, Conjuration focused Incanter for Lucy, Armorist for Erza, Shifter for Mira/Elfman, and Creation focused Mageknight for Grey.
I follow a general rule: better to ask and be told no than not to ask at all.

He's the very definition of a factotum.

On Emiya, Silverbrow Sorcerer 1(Precocious Apprentice)/Psychic Warrior 2(Soulbound Weapon: Longsword)/Ardent 10(Dominant Ideal:Justice)/Cerebremancer 7 can do it, although, as you can see, it gets pretty spread. Psychic Warrior for the extra augment, Sorcerer for Wings of Cover(Rho Aias) and any other necessary spells, Ardent for the Metapsionic cheese. Gestalting Emiya is pretty easy, compared to normal play.

    Dat thread necromancy tho.

Seeing as this thread has been revived and I made a build for this thread the last time it rolled around, maybe I should finally post it.

Prior to it's awakening, Zangetsu is a +1 Adamantine Greatsword. It's omen is an audible hum that causes the air to vibrate.

    Abilities
Shikai: Starting at 5th level, Zangetsu is an intelligent item. It is true neutral, can communicate via empathy and see and hear out to 60 feet, has mental stats of Int 13, Wis 13, and Cha 10, can cast the spells wraithstrike 1/day and nerveskitter 3/day and has an ego score of 7 (changes to 8 at 6th level.)
Bankai: At 11th level, Zangetsu becomes Tensa Zangetsu, improving its status as an intelligent item. It is still true neutral, can communicate via language (common) or telepathy and can hear and see with darkvision and blindsense to 120 feet. It has mental stats of Int 18, Wis 18, Cha 10, and can cast wraithstrike 1/day, displacement 1/day, haste 3/day, nerveskitter 3/day, and true resurrection 1/month on it's wielder. Its ego score is now 26, with increases to 28 at level 14 and 34 at level 17.
Bankai Speed (Ex): At 12th level, the compression of reaitsu from Tensa Zangetsu doubles your movement speed, as the ability of the Rapid Wrath spear.
Getsuga Charged Attacks (Sp): At 13th level, Tensa Zangetsu allows the channeling of eldritch blasts through its attacks. Whenever making an attack with Tensa Zangetsu, treat the attack as if the Hideous Blow blast shape invocation was being used. (Adds eldritch blast damage to all attacks made with Tensa Zangetsu.)
Dangai Training (Ex): At 20th level, Tensa Zangetsu increases your speed to new heights. You may take two separate sets of actions each round, as the Dual Actions special ability of the chronotyryn.

Hollow Mask: This bone white mask with dark red markings melds into your body after you take possession of it. Placing your hand in a claw-like shape and ripping it down over your face (swift action) causes the mask to coalesce from dark energy. The mask functions for up to 10 minutes per day and causes you to gain the Dark Creature and Shadow Creature templates. A superior version allows the benefit to be continuous.

    Spoiler: Optimization Notes/Early Entry
    Show
All three bloodline levels are taken after 1st level, requiring 2000 exp each. This means that the maximum skill point cap is increased by three (8 ranks when Ichigo reaches level 2) and the initiator level is increased to allow higher level manuevers to be chosen [IL is 6 at second level: Non-initiator level 4 (1 + 3 bloodline levels) divided by 2 and 4 initiator levels (1 + 3 bloodline levels)] so the prerequisites for Ruby Knight Vindicator can be met by level 3. Additionally, the three bloodline levels make the Hellfire Blast damage 6d6 higher, CL for cleric spells 3 higher (CL 16 at 20th), and warlock caster level 3 higher (CL 20 at 20th).

    Spoiler: Ichigo in 3.5
    Show
Ho boy! First off, I decided to make Ichigo a gestalt character after trying and failing multiple times to cram a powerful (read ToB) melee warrior and strong ranged attack (eldritch blast) user together. I really like the feel that Hellfire Warlock grants to Ichigo, but I was having a hard time fitting in enough melee for him to be capable, so I ended up trying to have my cake and eat it too with gestalt. Legacy Champion is used quite frequently with Hellfire Warlock and creating a zanpaktou as a legacy weapon seemed like it could fit nicely, so I decided to head that route. Binder is of course used for mitigating the Con damage from Hellfire Warlock, and Naberius fits better with Ichigo than I had originally thought (more on this later.) Now that I had a capable build for Ichigo's Getsugatensho spam, I went with a relatively standard Warblade/Cleric/Ruby Knight Vindicator melee side (along with Spirit Lion Totem Barbarian for pounce). I decided early on that I wanted to use bloodlines to show Ichigo's shinigami parenthood, though I did consider a few templates.

Levels 1-5 cover his pre-Shikai self quite well, as his tactics basically amount to two-handed power-attacking everything, as his eldritch blast is too weak to deal with threats.
Levels 6-10 show his Shikai abilities, with level 10 giving a significant boost to his ranged capabilities with Hellfire Warlock.
Levels 11-20 give his Bankai abilities and hollow powers, showing a marked improvement in his ranged damage and continual improvements for his melee combat.
(To be specific, levels 1-2 are his transformation into a shinigami, level 3-5 are pre-shikai, level 6 is his Shikai awakening, level 7-8 is the fight against Ikkaku, level 9 against Renji, level 10-11 is the fight against Kenpachi, level 12 is the fight against Byakuya, 13 vs Ulquiorra/Yammy and vs Grimmjow (1st Fight), 14 vs Ulquiorra (1st fight), 15 vs Grimmjow (2nd fight), 16-18 vs Ulquiorra (2nd fight), 18 vs Aizen and Gin (1st), and 20th vs Aizen (final).)

    Anime/Manga Feats:
Physical Combat: His great BAB, heavy ToB class choice, Whirling Frenzy, pounce, DMM-persisted cleric buffs, and variety of combat feats mean Ichigo is quite competent in a melee fight, especially charging with Shock Trooper.
    Shikai Training: Otyguh Hole!
    Getsugatensho: Eldritch blast (8d6 at 20th) + Eldritch Spear/Chain
Black Getsugatensho: Hellfire blast (+22d6 at 20th level, HF 3 + 5 HF levels from Legacy Champion + 3 HF levels from bloodline) + Vitriolic or Utterdark Blast
    Fluctuating Reiatsu: Chaos Devotion
    Flight: Fell flight invocation
Shunpo/Flash Step and High Speed: Shadow Blink + Divine Impetus, Dual Actions at 20th, extremely high movement speed [his base movement speed is 110 = 30 + 10 (quick trait) + 10 (Celerity Domain) * 2 (Bankai speed) + 10 (Zangetsu enhancement), which increases to 130 with the Dark Creature template (adds 10 to base, +20 total) and 190 with the Dark and Shadow Creature templates (1.5 * base, 60 base * 2 RW * 1.5 SC + 10 = 190)]
Hollowfication: A combination of Hellfire blast, the Hollow Mask item above, Whirling Frenzy, and the Sign of binding Naberius: your voice deepens and acquires a gravelly, growling tone.
Zanpaktou: Weapon of legacy fits pretty well, as does making the item intelligent, though I do wish I could have figured out a way to allow the weapon to transform. I had an idea with the weapon of legacy, but it just never came together.

He is armorist with creation as main sphere and time sphere as archtype so in fluff he creates weapons from time itself and thanks to gilgamesh he has nearly every copy of every weapon ( gate of babylon stores prototypes of every weapon which one high rank than originals so when he uses unlimited blade works on them he gets roughly equvalent to real ones)( thats also why gil neaded ea to try to beat him)
