I think the part about objectification. But that was before his friendship with Kate Beaton.

Oh, yeah, Diaz has mentioned he regrets making his earlier comics so male-gaze-y. I think he even considered at one point inserting some sort of footnote in the earlier ones as a kind of "yeah, sorry about the sexism, if I drew this now I'd have been more respectful" thing. I'm happy to see that the current story arc has thus far contained two fanservicey scenes, split evenly between the male and female leads changing clothes. As a dying former paladin once said, I can live with that.

On another note, I'm pretty excited that he may have actually found a way to update faster! I'm already 21, I won't be around much longer!

WAIT. WHO ELSE DO WE KNOW WHOSE HAIR HAS STRANGE WHITE STREAKS IN IT?! I thought he was just going grey with age, but it's weird how his hair is pure black and white in such distinct stripes. And he had the locket before giving it to her! This is actually getting pretty cool now!

Random thought: Is Anita Caspar Morningstar? The note Anita said she got from Kaito corresponds to what Morningstar says were Kaito's dying words. (I'm probably about 500 light-years behind the current WMG frontier here.)

So how much have changed since the original?
(Note that this tv trope's page during my posting reflected the criticism made at the comic).
I knew Kate Beaton changed him.

Oh hey, and that's the end of Act 2! That is a wonderful online news page. I haven't laughed out loud at a DC comic in a while. Reminds me a lot of the more satirical things he puts on twitter.

So would people say that I can probablly expect to read Dresden Codak now and get semi-regular updates now? I am wondering because I stopped reading due to the update schedule being non-existent for a while.

It would seem the Patreon is actually helping, yes. My estimate is it will update once for every two OotS updates. Maybe three, depending on circumstances. About once a month.

OK. I will let it build up a bit more of a buffer first though. But it is good to know that things are turning out better.

I still have to wonder how much logistics stuff there is that he needs to hire an assistant. Is running a webcomic really that intensive?

Hey, it's Belphegor! His eyes are really... transfixing. Oh man, I really hope Vonnie becomes a Dark Science member. I gotta see what she's like as a revolutionary agent.

Wait, did we just get an update before the announced deadline?! WHAT IS THIS

I don't even think we need Belphegor's dialogue. His eyes and buisness card (that doesnt have a phone number) are all he needs.

Thanks to Patreon, Dresden Codak is now updating biweekly! I might have to change the title of the thread soon.

It's always a good idea to have someone else present to avoid feeling weird when you talk to yourself, even if that someone is a TV-headed cat.

Well, let's not jump the gun there; I'll believe it when I see it. Still, if he can actually pull it off, it'll be a nice surprise.

The updates since #37 have been separated by intervals of, respectively:
    Read More -- 3 weeks
    Purgatorio -- 1 week
    A Modest Proposal -- 2 weeks
    The Fire -- 2 weeks
The Parade of Progress -- 3 weeks

So it's not too much of a leap to reach biweekly updates.

If he's committed it's not much of a stretch, but Aaron has a history of promising something and then not following through. It starts out fine, then it falters, with all sorts of reasonable excuses so you can't really blame him, and then before long he's forgotten that he ever promised anything at all. It's an awesome comic, and I have no problem with waiting for updates, but I'm not getting my hopes up for bi-weekly updates until we get to like June or July and he's still doing it.

"oh nooo" I'm picturing the squish-yo-head game from the beginning of this story, which is perhaps inappropriately levitious (shut up it's totally a word) for this cliffhanger.

Radnar seems to be some sort of database that spews unsolicited fun facts about Dark Science. It's reacted to the mentions of Dark Science with a short description.

"What you call science is a crude imitation of the unblinking eye": Phantom knowledge/ Eyes forever closed

    "Your master...": Hidden eyes, half-closed
Morningstar: Morningstar, herald of the rising sun
Leviathan: Demon of envy, burned by the eye
