[Empire!, IC] Dragons in the capital!
[Fall, 417]
It was a balmy day in Miji Mkuu, but the sky was clear, at least what was visible through the tree tops, and there was a cool breeze coming across the Nadanada. Banners were stretched out down the main road leading to Unification Square, where the palace and senate building stood on two sides of an elaborate public garden. The great temple was nearing completion on a third side along the bank of the Nadanada. Grand steps led down from the building into the water where people were swimming. The city proper was a mesh of architectural styles stretched across three layers through the massive jungle trees. Some claimed the mashahidi had grown them by magic, but the trees were far older than the city. On the lowest layer commerce and business took place, though it was mostly centered across the river in the guild sector. Roughly six to nine meters overhead was the residential sector. Homes and wide walkways were built against the bark of the massive trees, and far over head there were Genivanan style farms and gardens built into the treetops where they could receive sunlight and rain. The palace itself was a sight to behold, a single massive spire of Raanekan stone doing it's best to compete with the towering trees. It, and all of Unification Square were in the largest clearing in the forest.
The streets were lined with Wapinagi-Watafiti awaiting their honored guests from the Tunneldom. Shvedrishti herself awaited them in the gardens of Unification Square. It was not quite midday, but a selection of foods, mostly fruits and sweets, was arranged in case any of the K'braashii delegation were hungry after their journey.

Re: [Empire!, IC] Dragons in the capital!
The Empress, Mira Ignato, stood beside the Shahidi Mkuu admiring the beauty of the square and taking in the sights. She sipped lightly from a flask of Heartwine she kept on her person and turned towards Shvedrishti.
"You know, I've never actually seen a Kobold in person before," she said, her mind on the coming meeting with the inhabitants of the Tunneldom under Aloren.

"Neither have I to be honest. Shahidi Mem Ataka had some delightful illustrations in his letters though. They're sort of serpentine, and he says they've covered in scales that 'glitter like diamonds in the torchlight'." Shvedrishti looked across the gardens and down the street. Hopefully they would arrive soon.
