Deserted Island WW [Day 2] [Game starts post 17]

Maybe you were visiting family. Maybe you had a business meeting. Maybe you just went on vacation. But no matter what the reason was, you were on a plane that was flying across the ocean, when it crashed into the water. Not many of you survived, but those who did discovered that you were near an island. The island had all the materials needed for you to survive within its lush jungles, and you have been waiting for rescue for a day.
The first night you were there, however, one of the passengers died. She was found with a knife in her neck. No one else is on the island, so one of passengers must be a murderer. But who?

This is a game with secret roles. Even after someone's death, you will only get a hint of their role from what they're carrying. Some roles will be given to someone else after their death. This will be decided by a vote.

The Day Phase will last 48 hours. The night phase will last 24 hours.

During each day phase, you may either vote for a lynching (in red as usual) or for a lockdown (in blue) If the winning vote is a lockdown, the person voted for stays alive, but may not take any actions that night phase, due to them being locked in a tent. Since there are more voting options, there is no 25% rule in this game.
Additionally, there will be events to represent things you stumble across as you explore the island. These could be either helpful or harmful to the village.

Ms. Pringle ran down the beach. She looked behind her to make sure the murderer wasn't behind her. She saw nothing until it was too late. The murderer had managed to get in front of her and pushed her down. The murderer slit her throat and left her to bleed out as a warning.
End of Night 0
The next day, one of the survivors found the corpse and told the rest of them. The camp was shocked and dismayed. But someone, though no one remembers who, banded the survivors and convinced them to vote on what to do. And who to blame.

That's all that needs to be said, so let's move past defense.

According to pizzonian wisdom, you have a one in three chance of lynching a guilty party if you go after those who voted for me today. Why do I know this? Because it is an historical fact. You can extrapolate the behavior of those persons who resemble a layer of dirt or froth on top of stagnant liquid by simply stereotyping their past behavioral patterns.

"There's something about Pizza".

I get their attention, and quickly. And once I'm inside their heads, I'm impossible to remove.

But one in three could be improved. Let's see if I can't narrow that down for you....

Nope, this time, he's innocent as well. Call it pizza's intuition. Furthermore, he voted for me before I did anything, and before anyone else did anything, which means it's a fairly null vote. Duke and Penguin's votes were after I voted for Penguin.

So, it's between Penguinator and Dukegod.

The question is, which of those guys are therefore guilty?

Level one would suggest that it's Penguinator himself, and Dukegod is merely betting on the wrong horse. That would explain Penguin's reaction to being voted.

But many of the times this situation occurs, the player whose name replaces Penguinator's name happens to be innocent. Not sure if that's the case or not, but my original votes are typically meant to garner reactions. And we have two.

In those cases, it's a simple tactic I call triangulation.

Innocent Player A votes for Innocent Player B, which creates an opportunity for Guilty Player C.

Guilty Player C is under the least amount of risk from either A or B, and therefore has a safe position from which to attack. If two innocent players vote for each other, it will take longer for them to conclude they should have instead voted for guilty player C, and by the time they do, they will most likely be dead.

Ergo, ipso facto, presto changeo, Penguinator may very well be guilty, but DukeGod looks just as bad from where I sit, if not worse.

OMGUS votes, or votes where your reason for voting is essentially that you've been voted by that person, are not, as some people believe, reliable tells. It's in fact strong village strategy.

And, I am willing to die in order to get suspicion onto said parties. Go ahead and toss additional votes on me today if you wish. You'll not take my suspicions at face value until you know for sure which team I bat for.

If I had to pick between Penguin and DukeGod today, the answer is DukeGod.
