"... You're very right, I'm not." Eric says frowning, and giving this kate another look over, "Would you mind elaborating?"

"Don't a lot of little girls want to be a princess? Not a queen, a princess: important, wealthy, beautiful, but without any responsibilities." She turns with a flourish. "And when you're in trouble, a brave young man will come and save you, and maybe that will be the beginning of something beautiful! The Disney princess was the fantasy of most young girls of an entire generation! And the Elisia was the equivalent in space. Very similar, at its core, but with different aesthetics. Beautiful clothes, heartwarming stories, no worries about money or responsibilities, dashing young men, the works!" She sits down in a large, plush chair. "Guess where I got my start."

Eric deigns to sit down in the air, as if it was an entirely solid chair, "So, you're the part of Kate's mind that wants to be a disney princess, then."

Kate's Mindscape

"I was. But don't people grow up? Kate grew up, I grew up inside her. The Disney princess ideal is unrealistic. I'm unrealistic. And so I am." She leans back at an angle, putting one leg over the other. "And I'm okay with that, because who wants to be realistic all the time? Having an unrealistic ideal to look at, for entertainment purposes."

Eric nods, thinking, "I hate to say it, but you may want to make yourself more important in the near future. the whole weirdness magnet thing I said before is no joke, and if you can help the whole deal with changes, you'll be a lot better off."

Kate's Mindscape

"You're three years late, aren't you? Riddle me this: why would Kate ever keep that glow?" Her hair begins to glow like Kate's once did, but pink instead of orange. "It's not that useful, and in fact, it took a while to get used to it. Why bother with it?"

"On the other hand, isn't it nice to have a little bit of magic? In fact, think of the Nexus overall, and all of a sudden I'm not all that far off, am I? Especially to someone as clever as Kate."

[Kate's Mindscape]

"Hey, new Kate, new warning. I figured I may as well since I didn't have the opportunity last time." Eric smiles, "I figure you'll mostly be fine, then."

Kate's Mindscape

"It should certainly be easier the second time around, and hopefully whatever Copi is doing will sort out the mental issue. Between you and I, Kate is overreacting to the situation. Paranoia is a double-edged sword: it hurts you as well, unless you're crazy enough to use it properly. As long as nothing to terrible happens to her, she'll be fine if people support her. We've seen that before. If the craziness comes back, it'll be a rough road, but not an impassible one."

Eric nods, "I'm curious about what you'd actually want to change, though. Ky was always on about looking perfectly average."

Kate's Mindscape

"Can you blame her? Looking boring has done her a lot of good. She got through middle and high school mostly intact, both times! But if you're really curious? Give her something useful, and she won't fight it too hard. The first time around, she was really fond of the cybernetic eyes, for example."

Eric nods, considering. And gets the horrible idea of giving her psychic powers, but refrains from commenting on it.

"So, while you have me, I do have a question; anything you'd like me to do? It can be anything from the inane to the massive."

Kate's Mindscape

"Interesting question. I suppose Copi is here... or at least here enough to help if she wants."

"Am I that predictable?" the voice comes from nowhere. Kate takes it in stride.

"Reliable, dear! My concerns are for Kate's defense from psychic attacks, it's bound to happen sooner or later. Perhaps teach her proper telepathy while you're at it, hm?"

[Kate's Mindscape]

"I should point out that if I did that, it may well open more psychic powers up to her than simply speaking over long distances; a discipline of telepathy is what we're doing right now." Eric says, "Eventually, projecting into and adjusting other minds will be possible."

Kate's Mindscape

"I was more referring to the fact that whenever someone tries to use telepathy with her they don't get her thoughts parsed like they are when she talks. Yes, she was aware of that. She just didn't think about it much."

"It made such discussions interesting, the few times I had them with her."

[Kate's Mindscape]

"Oh," Eric says, "Well now, that's something I can do."

[Lost_Deep]

Kate's Mindscape

Copi nods. It's more of a notion than a physical movement, given that she isn't actually here. "Defense training is more of an over time thing, but something I'll be glad to train her on," she says.

Kate nods back. "I'm sure she'd appreciate it."

[Halae]

[Kate's Mindscape]

"That, sadly, seems more like a project for Copi. If you want anything from me still, I'd... still be happy to help." Eric says. He wants a thing to do!

Kate's Mindscape

"You can teach her how to enunciate, mentally," Copi reassures him, "It might not be as easy as it sounds."

"Hard to fight ADD," Kate says with a nod, "But let's start with the simple stuff, in case the oddities turn out to come back, hmm?"

[Halae]

[Kate's Mindscape]

Eric nods, frowning. He'd been hoping for something a bit bigger, but oh well, "So, I guess that's it then?"

"It's okay," Kate says, "Chances are something will come up."

I'm done! Copi says to Eric.

[Kate's Mindscape]

"I suppose that's my cue to head out then," he says, standing up from his place sitting on the air, "It's been great talking to you, at least."

"The same!" Kate says, waving goodbye, "Take care out there!"

In that case, Eric will leave the home, saying to Copi, So, what now? You've organized the memories; should we stay in here to look for something else, or simply leave?

Unless you have something in particular, Copi says, I think we're ready to leave.

In that case, Eric will simply cease projecting, taking himself back out into his own body. That was simple.

Copi offers Eric a small glass of milk. Multitasker... she can move around in the real world just fine while she's in other people's heads. "I feel that good has been done," She says to Eric, "And Kate's getting the sleep she lost last night!"

[Kate's Apartment]

Eric takes the milk gladly, and begins sipping, "Of course, given it's midafternoon, her circadian rhythm will likely be shot, but she can fix that."

Kate's Apartment

"I'll just gloss over that," Copi says with a wave of her hand. "Now, she just has to meet Cosiellio, and her cousin from an alternate universe-for a cousin from an alternate universe showed up, you see, and she's considering re-applying to Mallside... well, her following few weeks are looking full."

[Kate's Apartment]

"Cousin?" Eric says curiously, "Who's that?"

"Marley," Copi says, "A mech pilot, apparently she is Kate's cousin in the world she comes from."
