A song that should be familiar to anyone who's seen Clockwork Orange follows, as Magtok tries once more to obliterate the stream of thoughts that Happy's bassoon comment prompted. Damn them both, why would they try to engage him in conversation, knowing he has little to no control over his own responses?!

"I like the bassoon!" Happy protests, barely restraining herself from dunking him again. "Huh. I think they've left."

"Thank you!" Though she considers what she got and what Riley got, and thinks that she might have failed at getting a lower score. "I'm not entirely sure what to do with these, so... Do you want one?" She holds them out consolingly. She fails to consider that the bad reputation of medusae might have anything to do with her superior prizes.

That last part is pretty evidently sarcastic, but still in a friendly tone.

"I don't think you will, Riley, and even if I did, I'd still worry. I care for you, and worry is part of that. But let's just have some fun, hey? We can talk about that later." They haven't done much anti-slavery stuff recently, but there hadn't been much slavery stuff going on in general. But Agape still doesn't want Riley to all come to pieces because something happened that reminded him of the past or something.

Riley starts to protest, but by now, he knows better. And Agape doesn't give off that feeling of constant judgment like other people do. He's comfortable being weak around her, knowing she won't turn on him for it."Ah-Alright. You're right...Wanna grab something to eat?"

"If you're sure it won't cause sugar ache, sure!" Agape smiles widely and tries to take Riley's hand and go look for something to eat.

Riley takes Agape's hand in turn and heads out towards the food vendors. On one side is carts and stands with things like turkey legs and funnel cakes and nachos. Spotting one with mutton legs, he casts a nervous glance at the stuffed sheep and turns towards the other side, which has actual restaurants, mostly chains like Emerald Wednesday's and Blonic (original recipe, do not steal!) and Blackbeard's.

Agape will follow, looking at the various types of restaurant with confusion and relief that she probably won't be asked to choose. She hopes not, anyway. She also wrinkles her nose at the smell of cooking meat; medusae are predominantly vegetarian, due to petrifying most animals and being unable to eat stone.

"Broccoli cheese does sound good...do you like soup?"

"I don't know. Normally I had either a salad or porridge." The salad mostly when she lived in a cave in the mountains, the porridge after she had been enslaved and put up for sale.

"I had broccoli, but all the goats turned to stone before I could milk them." Also, her player does not like soup unless it is nice and meaty. I also tolerate broccoli, so that's not a type of soup I'd particularly enjoy.

"I can't have milk, because I haven't built up a tolerance, or something- Freedom told me. But I don't really know. What would you recommend?" I just realised that Agape would be lactose intolerant; it's not something natural to humans, but rather something we learn through not stopping in drinking milk.

"Oh...uh...there's a place that does salads and sandwiches across the corner there! Would that work?" Riley points to another small corner stop, this one open air.

Riley nods and tries to lead Agape to the shop by her hand, taking one of the nice tables outside with a view of the setting sun. He picks up a menu and hands it to Agape, looking over another one himself.

Agape will wave over a waiter and ask for a braille menu. "I was taught how to read by my mother, before my eyes opened and we could safely cohabit. She learnt from her mother, who learnt from her mother, who learnt from a blind hermit who shared her cave." Said hermit is also Agape's great-grandfather, and also her most recent male relative- female medusae are parthenogenic, though capable of normal reproduction with various humanoids. Male offspring are half-medusae; females are pure medusae.
