Looking out from behind his tree, Aeris observes the state of the enemies, and heads over to the pile of the fallen, wincing as he moves.
Once he arrives, he checks to see if the fallen have anything useful.

"So Aeris, please warn me next time I am bait for meeting 'non-hostile' people" Sperr grins as he has Sper and the summoned wolf finish up one of the downed each.

"Anyone got any healing for my co-bait or am I the only one?"

Coming up to the main front, Aeris looks at Sperr as he asks his question.
"If they're non-hostile, then talking is usually an option. If you mean hostile, then how else do you recommend determining their hostility? Healing isn't one of my talents, unfortunately, as I could use with some as well. The archer got me pretty well."

Sperr looks at Aeris still grinning: "If they can keep themselves from murdering Hellen while shes talking for 20 seconds. Then they aren't hostile. I think I need to heal Boddynock first, he had some healing right?" Sperr decides waiting is probably a bad idea as goes to his fallen comrade, quietly mumbling praise to the earth as dark green light flows from him into Boddynock.

The wolf and Sper finish the two creatures.

Aeris examines them and finds each of them to be wearing a dirty set of hide armor, now rather blood-stained, but without any other items.

"So I guess while we are at it, any of you who haven't undergone The Bloodying? If that last one is still alive that is." Sperr points to the archer.

Looking at the dead Sperr sports a toothy and somewhat menacing grin: "I've never been an invader before, this is kinda fun."

After spending about 10 seconds studying the tree and trying to plan a way up, Aeris scampers up and pulls the archer down.

The archer falls, and yelps in pain as he hits the ground, looking around panicked, scrambling to his feet.

He appears similar to the other two you've seen, but wears leather armor, dyed in earth tones. He also has a scar on his forehead in the shape of an eye. Also, a four foot cord protrudes from his left side, through his armor, over the ribcage, which attaches to his bow.

    Sperr:
    Spoiler
    Show
This creature appears to be humanoid, probably similar to a human, but not as advanced, still possessing claws like other apes. It appears to be able to recover from wounds quickly, but unlike a normal ape, walks upright, is smaller, and more intelligent, capable of using tools and, probably, communicating, in some language.

The significance of the eye and cord elude you.

The creature snarls at Sper, holding his bow in one hand, pulling Aeris's arrow out of his chest with the other, raising its head defiantly. "You come here again to kill us. You shot first, when we see you, we shoot you. I don't fear death, fiend. My spirit shall protect us. You'll die."

"Stop pretending to be stupid. Your people have come here before. You weren't as big as the poor archer" he says motioning to Helen, "or as small as your hound-keepers" he says gesturing with his claw at Sperr, closer than, perhaps, he needed too, and then to Boddynock, "But built stronger than you." He gestures to Aeris. "You come often, across the water on moving land, and when you first saw us, you killed us, and we killed you. You have driven us back, the land is no longer solely ours. You have your part, we have ours. We mark out part, and you don't cross. If you do, death awaits. You invade us. Death awaits you here. Leave us now, and perhaps you may survive."

Boddynock lies on the ground, his wounds slowly healing. He finally wakes up, his face licked by Rocinante.
"Ugh, I'm fine, I'm fine." he says, still a little dizzy.
He lies there a bit longer, until he feels that the healing stopped. He sits up and asks:
    "Does anyone need healing?"

'Course if we're talking about ferocious, strongarmed race with an established mean streak, surely orcs fit the bill, don't they? Lupine ears, pig snout, tusklike teeth... see, they look the part too!

The creature gives a confused look at Helen and shakes its head. "Dwarves, orcs, elves, these all are new words to me. We call you 'invaders,' and you call us 'monsters.' We don't know what you call yourselves."

At that point, Aeris, who is distracted by the conversation, loses his grip on the tree and falls, hitting the archer, who helps break his fall.
