Meanwhile the dwarf barbarian just holds his mace up and looks at the rest of the group pleading to put the guy out of the group's misery.

We actually had an NPC in Vampire: The Masquerade who was, of course, a Malkavian, who truly believed in the Almighty Friend Computer. He wore an all yellow-suit and was called Smiley because he always smiled and asked us "are you happy, citizen?". Also reminded us that the computer was watching.
