This is actually a bit awkward for Boris, as he's from a post-Soviet Russia. He also knows what happened to Mongolia, what with it becoming a satellite state.

He doesn't shake Karljaav's hand - he got a bit terse when Thariza was called a cat-creature as well. "Word of advice - don't call people creatures," he says. "And don't ever pick up a history book."

"It is, I suppose," Wenomir says. "There are still things to iron out. Put we'll pull through. The Nexus always requires a certain dose of making things up as you go along. At last we don't need to clear monsters and traps from the bases, like we did when KR founded Watchtower."

"Oh, I sincerely apologize, comrade. There are none of your peoples in Mongolia." He bows to Thariza. "Hah, history books? We have no need for them, comrade - we stand at the edge of history; we destroy history!" His optimism is noteworthy, to be sure, if not entirely grounded in reality - not exactly the most materialistic. "A pleasure, Thrazia - is it? And, I'm not sure I caught your name, comrade." he says, refocusing on Boris.

There's a phone call to the new Org. I'm not entirely sure if they have a special emergency hotline or just a phone number, but there is surely one of those things for perceptive citizens to report threats and the like.

The call is taken and a young female voice can be heared.
"Hello. Welcome to Virgil. How can I help you?"

"Yeah, I'm at the Temple of Inari. We just picked up an artifact that some god popped in to tell us that it has sentience, mind-control powers, matter-warping, and all-around nastiness. Some guys apparently broke in to steal and use it. Could you guys send someone or something to pick this thing up and destroy it or something? It's light-based, if that matters."

Thariza's ears flick. Parts of this conversation confuse her.

"You guys are from separate times in the same world, or what?" she asks.

"It's Boris," he says. When Thariza asks her question, he shrugs. "If I had to guess, he's from my world's past."

Because demons have been calling her all the time.
Because she accidentally killed so many of them that, unsure how to deal with her, they crowned her a Demon Lord.
She's pretty confused about this.

"I will send someone to gather the artifact, just prepare it for transport so we don't loose time." Mia replies on the phone. "Can you tell me something about the people who broke in? it might be usefull to prepare if they try to attack us."

"You'll have to ask the priestesses, all I saw was their bodies after the thing's defender got to them. But the golem's in pieces so don't worry about that."
Truth be told he has no idea what preparing it for transport means but he doesn't want to waste time with such questions.

"The keep was inhabited by some order of wizards long ago," Wenomir says. "KR discovered it before deciding to found the organization. I had to flee from a room with a furniture-animating fungus. Should have portended how my career at Watchtower would go, really," he adds, half-jokingly.

A little message pops up in Geneva's magical HUDinforming her that she's discovered the Vigil Tower.

She isn't exactly sure what the Vigil Tower is or why it's important, but given her past experiences with her PipBuck she has long since decided to just nod and smile and try not to think too hard about how the little machine decides what landmarks are worth naming and marking on her map. It's kind of like it's inexplicable ability to tell her how much an item is worth in the local currency.

The hippogriff is pretty sure she could figure it out if she could actually crack the crazy machine open and examine its spell matricies, but PipBucks are notoriously indestructible.

Regardless, sight seeing isn't the reason she's here.

She's here to meet with a certain wizard and examine a certain portal in the woods near the tower. Thankfully a quest marker on her HUD is pointing in just the right direction!

Geneva angles her wings earthward and dives, only to flare them out and give them several powerful beats to kill her speed since crashing into the forest's canopy isn't high on her priority list.

Didn't he not just asks they shoudl pick it up? The object must have arrived in something a bag a box whatever.

"Golem?" Mia asks confused. Since she doesn't know much about the temple, this just confuse her. Was it from the attacker or was it the defender . She can't tell.

"Well, then tell the priestress to be ready." Unless the other person has something to say, Mia will hang up.

Since this thing might be very dangerouse and already people tried to steal it, Mia will go and search for anoterh member to go after it.

And "defender" was singular, so matching conjugations would have been helpful. But she wasn't supposed to really get that.

Carrie giggles weakly. I've heard of animated fungi, but a fungus that possesses furniture? I wouldn't know whether to be terrified or just plain baffled... I'd still want to break out the enchanted bleach bottle, though.

"I think we ended up burning everything in there," Wenomir says, rubbing his chin. "But it's been a while. We kept having to clear something or other out of the base for a while, but eventually it was finished."

I'm not sure I have something that will help move it here, but maybe you got an idea? Also it seems like some bandits tried to steal it."

Huh... well, glad there's nothing to worry about on that front, though I may still pack eye drops when I go to visit---the dust gets to me, and I'm sure that's still able to be a problem.

I'd like to familiarize myself with the layout and people as soon as I can. I'll probably be a... staff officer, or something along those lines, in the new set-up."

Carrie nods. I'd be happy to. Smiling a bit, she begins the grand tour of HALO, making sure Weno gets familiar with the command areas especially---something the usual tour isn't quite as heavy on.
