    When Savin offers to move to the front, the elf steps aside letting him pass and let's the rest of the group pass also, as Ryx takes up the rear guard again, making sure no one comes up from behind as he watches over his shoulder every so often.

    The staff is clearly magical, responsible for the lightning bolts, and it seems to have a several charges left, although the details aren't clear at this moment.

    Before you can move out, you notice a hissing sound from the upper part of this little alcove.

    It sure does sound like labored breathing, however, the large thing slightly moving in the back of the shadows looks like giant bellows.

    Relieved slightly at the sight of the bellows, but wondering why they would be down here, Savin nods at the others before starting to move into the room, keeping his eyes peeled as he move, shield up and spear out.

    The strange contraption moves on its own, obviously pumping something to somewhere, but it is not cleare what. A slight feeling of unease befalls all who come near.

    Ryx slowly moves closer to the contraption with the others, but once the gnome starts bickering with Maesyn, Ryx starts backing away from the bellows to watch to make sure nobody sneaks up on the group.

    Savin nods to Ryx, lips slightly upturned, as the elf is usually a bit more conscious of being stealthy. But, with all the noise going, he thinks, no one can probably hear us speaking.
    Crouching and moving forward, the compact plainsman continues with their search to find their quarry.
