Re: Theme Week OOC: Snappy Thread Title Pending.
I'd also like an park/big garden as public place where Lycu can live. I'll write down a bit of description for it in the next few days (not tomorrow 'cause my brother's wedding is tomorrow, so I wont have time):
You can call me Juniper. Please use gender-neutral pronouns (ze/hir (preferred) or they/them) when referring to me.

Re: Theme Week OOC: Snappy Thread Title Pending.
Okay, so, at the current point in the RP, we've got the Wild Hunt pawing at our gates, and we're going to get an iron ladder to ward them off. I'd post, but I don't actually know what to do with the ladder. We could attach it to ropes and fling it over the gates, presumably landing between the gates and the Hunt, but whats stopping them from walking around it, or shooting down whomever is carrying it aloft? Sorry, really should have thought this out better.

If we had magical shields to block arrows, we could have one person fly out above them with a rope attached to the ladder and swing it around to hit them.

I'd be less concerned about the iron gate and more concerned about our (likely stone) wall right now.

Re: Theme Week OOC: Snappy Thread Title Pending.
I think the idea was to use the ladder to keep them from getting close to the stone walls, like if they take a step left, we move the ladder left.
Anyways, what fun would it be if there wasn't an incident? I've half a mind to actually allow them to overrun the town and kidnap someone, so we'll be able to chase them into the forest.

I think that maybe we have you be up on the wall, handling the ladder, an arrow is shot at you, you sidestep, fall off the wall, they kidnap you, we give chase. That would be good.

Re: Theme Week OOC: Snappy Thread Title Pending.
Should I begin RPing Maethel getting out of her predicament, or should I start playing DM for your adventure in finding her? Or will you guys guide your own adventure?

You could, in your description of how she is escaping, control the enemies more than others do, and explain them a little.

Re: Theme Week OOC: Snappy Thread Title Pending.
I'd be fine with you DMing till we free Maethel but of course you can also start freeing her yourself.
A question: So far we had probably less then an hour of IC time over the course of 2 weeks OOC time. The next theme week will be in less than 3 weeks, so if we continue with that pace, will will never manage to save Maethel and get back to town for the next change in time. That also means that the changes happen every few hours IC time - making life for our characters very hectic. Any ideas how to solve this?
Also, a worldbuilding question: do our characters know when and how often the changes happen, and with what accuracy? Maybe like a weather forecast? "Tomorrow we expect a change happening during the late afternoon. Citizens, avoid using your wings (if you have any) in case you're losing them and avoid other activities that rely heavily on abilities you could lose."You can call me Juniper. Please use gender-neutral pronouns (ze/hir (preferred) or they/them) when referring to me.

Re: Theme Week OOC: Snappy Thread Title Pending.
I'll do my best to make the forest fey waste your time. Or at least take montages for you exploring or searching or other stuff. Or the adventure ends early after a day or two IC, and we timeskip the rest of the week trading for food and cleaning up and stuff.
Edit: Start exploring, peoples, and create your own scenery. I'll only be guiding story and plot progression as long as the adventure isn't moving at a pace enough to finish in 3 weeks. While I do have a basic plot in mind, there is absolutely no need to follow along. ((I'm kind of a killer GM who's never actually GMed before. ))
What if it's a Sundown on the Seventh Day No Exceptions type of thing, so you know to expect it. 6 o'clock on Saturday again? Oh look, I have a bird beak now.Last edited by Oneris; 2014-07-23 at 02:02 AM.

Re: Theme Week OOC: Snappy Thread Title Pending.
Ah. I was more hoping you'd make a post going "Metallic tang? That must be blood! Where does the blood smell come from?"
I'll be more direct next time, but, you know, you could decide to track the blood yourself and decide yourself what its source is. For now, I've made an NPC encounter. ((Prepare for terrible accent goodness))Last edited by Oneris; 2014-07-23 at 11:54 PM.

Re: Theme Week OOC: Snappy Thread Title Pending.
Well, it could be consistent like this or it could be a strange feeling that residents get a consistent time before the change. Or at least, those who don't have rumours of those who do to go by. Perhaps shortly before the Change some people may want to RP their characters in transition or as 'normal'.
I go by they/them/their or he/him/his pronouns

So, um. What do people think of the direction I'm taking the RP? I know I'm kind of railroading it. Please tell me if I'm doing anything wrong.
