Draw Your Friends XI!: Can't quit a-going!

Welcome to another iteration of Draw Your Friends! I can't wait to get this started!

I'm your host Cuthalion and the new cohost is *cues applause* Duck999! May he be welcomed!

Oh! Er, I have an announcement to make! hey, everyone! We need a thousand goats to sacrifice, could you help?

As usual, a minute of silence for those before us that were lost to us in the mist of time and real life: Fin, araveugnitsuga, Eleanor Rigby and Gnomish Wanderer.

And five seconds of noise for smuchmuch, who shan't be hosting this round.


So, what is this about?

It's a simple little 'secret Santa' like game.

To each participant another randomly selected participant is assigned as target and you have to 'draw' for them. When you are done, send your masterpiece to the co host you have been assigned to. After the deadline (Generally a week after the challenge as begun), all of the results are pooled and revealed anonymously by one of the hosts.
There's a second phase of two or three days when everyone can take a guess as who has drawn who. Taking part in this is by no mean mandatory but it can be interesting.
Finally the hosts make a reveal post saying who did what and for who.

General guidelines

No, despite the fancy name, you don't have or even know each others for this (though of course should you be or become so, all the better); yes you can participate if you are new around here and a complete stranger (your dsignated artist may have to be a bit resourcefull, they tend to be anyway). we alway appreciate seeing new faces aroud here. No ,despite talk of friends and such, it has nothing to do with an already all too present cartoon.
When the participant list is full, the game starts and the theme and deadline are given.

The theme is generally pretty broad and by no means mandatory.
Old themes are indicated near previous competition. We haven't arrived to the point where we need to repeat them yet.

You'll notice the draw is in brackets. Most people generally do an avatar based on the avatar of the target and the theme. but we also have a number of larger drawings (both digitals and scanner paper works), comics, and we even had a small video game and homemade cookies (well photos of, anyway).

Most sane people only do one thing per round, but it's not a limit, by far. There's no particular limit on format either as long as the final result can be showed in a way that can be send by PM to the hosts (or a link to at least) and posted in the thread later.

Time limit and workload.

The time limit is one week after the game officially started (it'll be announced in thread). But, should some problem happens, it is possible to ask to push back the deadline a bit by asking in thread or though Pm to one of the host (you generally get one day or two) or that he deadline find itself pushed by default if one of the host is having trouble of his/her own.

If really you couldn't finish by the deadline, it is still possible to send in the space between the announcement and the reveal.

However: Please don't sign up unless you think you can commit to the challenge.
DYF is a pretty informal challenge, you don't have to pull your hairs for a whole week and produce the new Mona Lisa, it's really the though that counts and chances are your target will appreciates the result no matter what. But nothing to show at all, not so appreciated.

If you would like to participate but cannot at the moment for reasons or wanted to participate but signed in too late, there is a wish list for the next round. Means you get priority place into the next round.

Fool ! You forgot the vital exclamation point after the number to distinguish between season 1 and 2, now everyone will think we're playing the eldritch abomination round again and the temporal paradox will cause the walls of reality to come down crashing.

*Pass fingers over the metaphorical top of the metaphorical cupboard* And you call that an opening post, it's so short tisk tisk tisk. And I bet you didn't even initiated Duck with the necessary ritual of a thousand hazin and goat sacrifices.

I'm with Squirrel. My piece is presentable, but I wouldn't mind another night or two to try to improve it a bit. I still feel it needs a little touch up on the details. Won't complain either way.

I guess I could work on a bonus piece if we get extra time, since anything else I try to do with my current piece will probably irrevocably break it. Because I'm kinda terrible.
