I'm just wondering how to get back to whatever it is starting with "HalfWit" or if this is all based on your handle. If so... why would you want people spending even more time on insulting you?

Ya know what I want to do with Dragon Age 1, 2 and 3 since they have different protagonists in each game?

I wanna try out swapping protagonists. Like, someone does a run-through of origins, and sends the game file to someone else. Then the second person plays through Da2 and make their own decisions in-game based on what they find. Then the second person sends it to a third person who plays through the third game. And all 3 players do this, passing along their own playthrough of the individual dragon age games to the next person in line.

It'd be time-consuming (and possibly a pain in the ass to move saves over) but potentially really interesting.

I would do it, but A) i have no friends B) I don't have DA2 C) DA3 isn't out yet.

I don't know about HT, but I personally find it amusing when people come up with reasonably clever insults I haven't heard before. Plus, it makes me feel like they really care about insulting me, rather than just doing it because they want to be a prick. But, then again, I've been told I have odd tastes, so perhaps take what I say with a grain of salt.

I enjoy a well-thought out insult as much as anybody. Even if it's towards me. But I hear 'halfwit' all the time like it's somehow clever and NOT incredibly stupid

Half-tan annoys me because the way i pronounce 'tangible' means that to say half-tan I have to cut a syllable in half. Half-wit annoys me because it's boring and unoriginal.

Yeah, this. I'm a fan of self-deprecating humor, so it takes a bit of effort to come up with something that really annoys me beyond 'why even?'. (Someone on twitter once told me that it was 'no wonder' i was a fiction writer with the argument i was spewing. I laughed hard.)

Well, yeah, but thats the sort of long nursed William Blake stuff you only get from a long-standing meatspace hate-on. Even the most churlish internet mudslinging just don't give that visceral feeling of being alive, closest thing else is flirting with fratricide. Ahh, nothing like family!

The "b" is really kinda between syllables.

It's be more "tan-jib-bl", as the b sound partially falls on each, but without stretching the b (it's short, not long as that breakdown would imply).

As an aside, when I'm being lazy with its pronunciation, I'll sometimes say "tan-jab-bl".

Well yes, nobody really pronounces things perfectly. Take kittens. Saying it fast, it's more like "ki-ens". Same with mittens. There's an arabic letter whose closest english equivalent is that sound.
