"Well, the Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polkadot Bikini doesn't look too bad. A little small, but it might fit. Strapless too so it helps." She admits. "But what kind of store has a Marredini, a literal Tankini, The Bikini Eyelids, a Microkini, and a banana hammock?" She asks, suppressing a shudder before reaching out to grab the one she talked about and heads towards the dressing room to try it on. When she steps towards it she puts a wing on Jace to keep him on her shoulders. "Don't run off. I'd rather someone cuter than me didn't snatch you when I wasn't looking."

Jace gives another panicked Raac!
"Wh-what?! I can't go with you into a dressing room? That's-but-that's just not proper!" he squawks hurriedly. He's awfully lucky dragons don't blush.

A plotclone of Xun appears at the fountain! So now there is a small black cat at the fountain. She's put her sign away and appears to have gotten out some lunch. Smells very fishy.

Aiden looks at the cat and stops writing for a moment. "I bet your day was simple, just running around being a cat," he says, talking to himself more than Xun.

"Bah. Just close your eyes or turn around then." She says, amusement in her voice as she shuts the door behind them. A moment later she sets her purse down and begins pulling her skirt and top off, whether Jace is looking or not. She said she was mean sometimes, but even the gods would shudder at the depths of evil this represents.

She replies, maling sure to keep by the circle just in case.

Dorota nods and continues her inquiry.

"How much do you need to know about the structure and properties of the substances you're transmuting?"

Jace is tempted to not move, since she probably can't get that off with him sitting on her shoulder, but there are some battles you just can't win. He hops off onto the seat and covers his face with his wings.
"You say that as if you want me to peep!" he squawks from behind his wings. Oh gods, now she's going to make jokes about both of them being naked in the dressing room...

Veronica turns her back to him, and even if he peeps, her tail is in the way of her butt. "Would that be such a bad thing?" She asks quietly, suddenly a little unsure about all of this but already too far into it to turn back. She doesn't turn back to see if he's peeping, but she'll begin pulling on the bikini to see if it fits properly.

Jace considers this, scratching at his chin.
"Well, I've never really been a stickler for the whole 'modesty until marriage' thing and we're dating as far as I can tell, so really as long as you were okay with it it wouldn't actually be that bad, no."

Jace appears to say the magic words as halfway through the changing process she turns around to scoop him into a tight hug. "I was worried that you weren't interested anymore." She admits before smiling. "It is cute that you're so proper most of the time though." She teases before letting go if he wants away.

Jace has no problems with being scooped up and held, even if it's to a chest which is either bare or mostly bare.
"Sorry, but my priorities don't usually lie in physical matters. Call it a introverted mage stereotype. Or that I currently have a reptile's brain the size of a peanut. Sorry if I was giving the wrong impression." he says sheepishly. Admittedly, everything looks less cute when it's five times bigger than you, but Veronica still looks nice. And being cuddled feels nice, too.

"It's okay." Veronica says, trying to reassure him before giving a gentle squeeze and setting him down so she can change back into the clothes she brought with her. "I'll get the bikini." She says as she fans her tail out, allowing herself at least a little modesty as she dresses in front of him. "I'll bet Zebes is either laughing or jealous." She says, turning to stick her tongue out at him.

Jace rolls his eyes. "Laughing. He's definitely laughing. He might joke, but he really is a little drake. He's a reptile and he sticks to reptiles. Which is something that dragons don't do in stories, but there really are not that many half-dragons where we come from. And less from metallics like him. Although raptor legs are scaled and clawed. I haven't asked him if he likes your feet." he says teasingly, still hesitant to let his eyes wander too much. Old habits die hard...

"Oh yes, a rose. A rose I can certainly do." The man steps out behind the counter and takes a few gangly steps to stand before Harley. "But first, I have to size up the wearer! Can't have you wearing a mask that isn't right for you, now can I?" He suddenly tries to grab her cheeks and give them a good squeeze.

Harley's cheeks are squeezed. They're exactly like normal cheeks.

Between squozen cheeks, her mouth moves. "So long as it covers my face," she says, "it's a right mask." To her, it doesn't matter if it doesn't fit perfectly. (That happens sometimes when you're a shapechanger.)

The cat looks up. Around here "being a cat" doesn't exactly pay the bills.

When Xun responds to him, Aiden takes a moment before groaning and burying his face in his hands. "Of course you can ******* talk."

"Well gee, forgive me for making the assumption that most animals can't talk!" Aiden raises his voice here, which might look silly when considering that he's talking to a cat.

the first law of the Laws of Equivalent Transmutation concerned this, and is named Comprehension. This law says that one must understand the inherent structure and properties of the atomic or molecular makeup of a particular material to be transmuted, including the flow and balance of potential and kinetic energy within.

Xun shifts uncomfortably a little. She doesn't really know how musical instruments work. She's also not sure she wants to admit that.

A short, feminine-looking robot person looks at the fountain. She's obviously artificial: covered by a plastic case with hints of feminine curves. The only part of her that looks even remotely organic is the face, which is made of some soft substance that lets her emote normally.

The fountain is normal water right now; someone must have come by and re-set it. Cai is a little disappointed, all said and done.

"Here, specifically? I'm trying to relax before I head to my apartment, because work sucked today." Aiden sighs. "Don't bother asking what I'm in the Nexus for, I sure as hell don't know."

Next to her sits a (probably even shorter) little winged reptile, clad of sandy or brassy-colored scales and a pair of dark red pants. He hasn't brought much else. After months in the Nexus, he hasn't had much need to walk around armed. He flexes his wings a bit as he sits, and looks between the lady and the fountain she's looking at.
"Water today, huh?"

"I was hoping that it would be colored when I got here, as I don't have a coin to use to change it." She looks at the Kobold. "I'm Cai."

"Spako." says the kobold with a cheery prick of his ear-fins. He seems to remember something as he digs through his pockets and eventually comes up with a copper coin.
"I can spare this for ya if it means anything to ya."

"That sounds logical," Dorota observes. "Very well then. I'll try to teach you some alchemical processes I know of that involve fire and heat, so you can incorporate them into your own craft. In return, you'll let me study your transmutation circles and see if I can incorporate some of their principles into my tools."

Cai takes the coin carefully. "I hope this works with me." She flicks the coin into the fountain and it becomes an array of neon colors. She smiles at it. "I suppose I count enough as a person for the magic to register me. Very interesting."
