My interpretation is the latter. The spell comes into effect and is targeted in the following round just prior to your turn and your normal actions starting.

A spell that takes 1 round to cast is a full-round action. It comes into effect just before the beginning of your turn in the round after you began casting the spell. You then act normally after the spell is completed.

I thought you would say that. Spells like Sleep can be a nuisance in that regard - things line up nicely when you start casting, then there's a full round of actions and all of a sudden you've got allies in the area of affect or the enemies have moved out of your line of sight, and you've wasted a round, a spell, or both.

I guess I'll just have to roll with it and see what happens.

True. I guess the dampening effect is intended, but I'll leave it to smarter minds than mine to mull that over. At least it's reciprocal, so when the NPC's start casting similarly lengthy spells the party will scatter.

I would've liked to drop the Sleep spell on the wererat, but then it would have got Krag.

I think your coordinates are a bit off here. Also, keep in mind that the rat in H18 is really stomped upon and the rat in G18 has fallen asleep.

Oops, copied from an older post and thought I had fixed it. Thanks.
Yeah, he's probably asleep but, in my mind, he hasn't quite fallen yet while Savin's ax was already in motion.

Care to Action Point? The confirm is close but not quite smackdown territory.

I'm still slammed at work and have another out of town conference to attend next week. Plus then an audit. I'm likely to be patchy for the next 10 days or so.

Ah Audits suck. We had the MHRA in a few weeks ago, disrupted the QA/QC teams entirely.

The real sting as a small business owner, hassle aside, is that the regulator here makes you pay for it yourself.

So, actually, it's not that good. The expectation was that Savin might go after the warrior instead of after the sleeping rat. As is, the maneuver had no effect on the battle.

    Yep.

    Thinder's:
    (1d20+6)[20] for (1d6+4)[6]
    (1d20+6)[22] for (1d6+4)[7]
    (1d20+1)[20] for (1d4+2)[6]

(additional +2 for flanking with Savin might be included if no problem expected with having Thunder over the trap door)
Or screw that. Thunder will step after attacking.

Probably just a typo/creative license on my part. I can't view the rolls on my mobile for some reason, but it only took one more hit to take down the wererat.

Edit: yep the 10 missed but the 20 hit and did the trick. I have tweaked the IC post accordingly.

Please start claiming the loot. The table on the right will be filled when claiming part is completed. Anything not claimed will be sold (current "sold" figures are as proposed).

I'll just take back the potion used, and any coin share.

    (Is the nominal share this?)

Quite a lot of loot is not yet marked as "sold" or not even appraised, so a nominal (equal) share of gold will be considerably more than 600gp per person. Your real share of gold will be less if you take more gear or more if you take less gear. Everyone is to get an equal "gear + gold" share. In theory, someone's gold share could be negative if nobody minds (by taking lots of gear and promising to take less next time).

Hmm... I think I should modify this spreadsheet to also show total "sold + not sold" value rather than just "sold" value. Will do it this weekend.

Any particular reason why the MW longswords and MW studded leather from the orc/Sir Lysander encounter are tagged as "not the loot"? Temiryl has already claimed one of each, and added her own non-MW versions to be sold.

Items I'm interested in for Temiryl, in addition to the already claimed MW longsword and MW studded leather: MW thieves tools, MW potion belt, MW bandoleer, 20 cold iron arrows, potion of CLW 2, potion of SoF, antitoxin, flash pellets.

Most likely no part of the title to the mill, but again, more than a guess is desired. No problem if Fintan tries to negotiate about any of that.

Will ask Sir Lysander Aulbes what he thinks about the ''Wingclipper", the owlbear in the forest, and what are his future plans.

Then will collect the reward(s), return stuff, split stuff and sell stuff. I'll do the bookkeeping. Negotiable prices or just the standard 50%?
Since we're doing the sums now, I'll confirm that the party gets to keep 100% of the items etc found. The Crown will keep the title to the mill. Even though the MW longswords and MW studded leather technically belonged to Lysanders late henchmen they are still included in party loot (either by way of direct gift or their sale value as a cash equivalent bonus reward). Sale value for everything is the standard 50%.

And u-b for one of the lots of loot I see you have a 6th participant listed (perhaps Ghini?). Don't worry about including her. The loot only has to be allocated over the 5 party members.

If you don't mind could we split the flash pellets. I'll pick up a bandoleer and potion belt with my cash.

We should share the cure and shield of faith potions out evenly.
