Default Classic PC Races for 5e - Warforged, Shifter, and more

Hey all, I was wondering if you could give me your opinions of some of the homebrew races I've created for my players. The story stuff is for my home campaign, but let me know what you think of their mechanics.

    Aasimar: http://worldbuilderblog.me/2014/07/24/city-of-aasimar/

    Deva, Mul, Shardmind, Thri-Kreen: http://worldbuilderblog.me/2014/07/29/what-a-deva/

    Svirfneblin, Duergar, Shifter: http://worldbuilderblog.me/2014/08/2...-the-subraces/

    Warforged, Githzerai, Kalashtar: http://worldbuilderblog.me/2014/08/26/lets-get-mental/

    Thanks!

    OP:
i realize this is old, but a couple things: the warforged have the same exact stats as one of the dwarves and the githzerai introduction repeats that they don't like the githyanki about 3 times and is worded awkwardly.great work other than that. i remember seeing your aasimar a couple months ago in a thread you made then and liked it then, too. don't remember what i said.

I usually post from my phone, so please excuse any horrendous typos.

I have to say that fluff wise, the warforged should definitely get barbarian's unarmored defense as composite plating. But balance wise i think that would be to powerful. also i think they should get 2 subraces, one small scout warforged and the normal warforged

one thing i've been thinking of is shardminds as a warforged subrace. i think it'd work fine and kill two birds with one stone.

Thanks for the feedback! I am already digging in and changing a few things based on similar feedback and looking at the Monster Manual, which has some of these races in them.

I only really looked at the races from Eberron, as that is my own personal favorite setting, but I'll comment on those!

Overall the warforged looks good. I would however change the wording on Incredible Resolve.

Incredible Resolve. You can end any incapacitated, paralyzed, or stunned condition affecting you as a bonus action (even if the condition would normally make taking a bonus action impossible). You must complete a short or a long rest before you can use this ability again.

For the Kalashtar, would it make sense to add advantage on saving throws against possession to their Bastion of Mental Clarity? It's a flavor thing that I always liked from their 3.5 version. They already have one possessing spirit in them, after all, there just isn't that much space for yet another one!

The link for the shifter page didn't work for me, so I can't comment on that one.

It's nice to see those races in 5E stats, keep up the good work!
For playable monster adventurers who would attract more than a few glances at the local tavern, check out my homebrew monster races!

I see what you're saying! Warforged are going to be in the DMG apparently so it will be great to see them.

    Here's the shifter link: http://worldbuilderblog.me/2014/08/21/were-off-to-the-subraces/

As for the Kalashtar, domination effects are charm effects so it already has advantage on those! Though possession could be considered a different thing... Definitely something for me to think about!

So Keith Baker apparently still wants to bring back eberron and has made some Homebrew of his own in regards to the warforged and Artificer
