Re: jhunter_d's Gelatinous Jamborie of a Random Banter: #209
It feels grand. Accomplished. And strangely, comfy. Its nice...I work best interacting with others. Like brainstorming, working on a project, ect, so it's lovely having her company. I mean, that and...I'm just incredibly happy that someone could love and want me so much that they'd pledge the rest of their life to being with me. It's an incredible feeling. I've been beaming ever since.

Re: jhunter_d's Gelatinous Jamborie of a Random Banter: #209
That's good.
Well, I didn't really say anything programming specific, it was mostly way to do different things differently. And as for working out, I'm not entirely sure it is. It's more been an effort to beat the next assignment in line with shorter and shorter margins...
And I can't quite remember. I think it was 41 hours, quite far below yours, but well, it was a lot for me and it was without any naps either. Actually, I'm quite amazed you were still alive after that...Clouddreamer Teddy by me, high above the world, far beyond its matters...

That rain is not here. But we got a rain last week that was not expected to come here. I had to put the flower seeds out in the wet ground but the birds coming down from the north were still here. I do not think I am going to have flowers next year. Those birds did not stop eating when the berries were gone from the tree.I have found a RL gaming group but I'm willing to meet other GitP people nearby.

I have three overlapping headaches right now, but thankfully they're all mild.
I use braces (also known as "curly brackets") to indicate sarcasm. If there are none present, I probably believe what I am saying; should it turn out to be inaccurate trivia, please tell me rather than trying to play along with an apparent joke I don't know I'm making.

Re: jhunter_d's Gelatinous Jamborie of a Random Banter: #209
Honestly, I thought it might be more of a problem...shifting from "guest" to permanent "house/roommate" is not a simple thing...but I'm enjoying getting used to it. I'm sure having me time is going to be necessary at some point, but for now I'm in the happy optimistic phase. It's not a perfect situation, as she's much more solitary than me, so it's a harder adjustment...but she's doing better than she gives herself credit for.
I never thought anyone would want to marry me, and here I am a husband. It's a feeling to cherish, for sure. For someone to commit their lives to being with me...its a wonderful gift, and I truely am excited for this new adventure.Scientific Name: Wombous apocolypticus | Diet: Apocolypse Pie | Cuddly: Yes

Re: jhunter_d's Gelatinous Jamborie of a Random Banter: #209
I'm going to have my first exclusively Brazilian Portuguese language exam this Thursday. It's important as hell for me because so far I have zero proof of my language skills. I don't have any possibility to retake the exam, as the teacher is moving out of the country next month. It's just this one chance and I don't see any similar opportunities in the near future. I really, really hope it would "dar certo"... Damn these butterflies in my tummy!

Re: jhunter_d's Gelatinous Jamborie of a Random Banter: #209
What do you have? Influenza? I've had that; I believe one time it was of the H1N1 swine variety. I've also had pneumonia twice.
That said, I didn't have to work any of those times, so...
All I can think to say is, I hope you don't serve food at your job (I don't remember what that job is.)

Re: jhunter_d's Gelatinous Jamborie of a Random Banter: #209
@LaZodiac: That sucks. Sorry that you're sick, and even sorrier that you have to work while being sick.
I had the swine flu once, back when the media was in mass hysteria once. I remember that I felt really lousy, went to the doctor, took Tamaflu(C)(R)TM and felt better.
ION: Speaking of flu, I just got my flu shot yesterday. The shot itself didn't hurt, but the hours of fatigue and a sore arm afterward did. At least I won't get the flu, though. That's good.

Re: jhunter_d's Gelatinous Jamborie of a Random Banter: #209
This is anecdotal experience of course, but the one year I had a flu shot was also the year I had the worst flu of my life. So I am... ambivalent about the efficacy of those shots
Never take the damn things anymore. I trust my grandmother's advice: hot rooibos, shot of whiskey, fresh lemon juice and a teaspoon or two of honey every night. Dunno about the flu, but it does wonders for meAwesome fremetar by wxdruid.

I feel like I should've taken the flu jab before I move out of Glasgow, but eh, too late, less than a week to go...

Re: jhunter_d's Gelatinous Jamborie of a Random Banter: #209
Me and Mrs. Wombat got a cat! His name is Oscar (lastname Wildecat) and he is really really talkative. If we leave the room without him, he follows us and meows as if to say, hey, wait up! I wanna be where you are! He meows good morning and likes to be on the bed when we got to sleep. He's really something else.
Oh, and when we tried closing the door without him coming in with us, he went straight to the bathroom, jumped in the tub, and pooped...as if to say, that's what you get.Scientific Name: Wombous apocolypticus | Diet: Apocolypse Pie | Cuddly: Yes
