Looking for reasons to join a mercenary guild
I am going to roll a killoren spirit shaman and need a (semi) good reason to join the pc's mercenary guild.
He is neutral with a tendency to law, has a close bond to nature (kind of given by the racial choice) and doesn't care at all about money.
We arent playing team good and aren't on any sort of world saving stuff. The guild's goals are more focused on making money, growing in strengh and gaining political influence.
So I realy have some trouble to find a reason to joim them.

How about "we break the legs of "freelancers" around here"?

Re: Looking for reasons to join a mercenary guild
He doesn't care about money, but is there something money can get for him that he DOES care about, a deed to a tack of forest, or maybe items of great druidic power? Maybe he owes someone else in the party a debt of honor for saving his life? Maybe he is out to bring someone to justice, and the mercenaries are a means to an end? Maybe membership grants him freedom to travel to places he would otherwise find forbidden or access to equipment otherwise unavailable? Maybe there is a natural imbalance in the world that he must correct, and he needs allies to achieve his goal?
