Of course HER book would buzz and not his. He sighs and plops his boots up on the table, slouching and stuffing his things back into his bag to listen in on her conversation, sighing wordlessly.

She gives a grin that reminds you of her father. "Prince Ritalus. Blonde... young. Has anyone been bragging abotu kidnapping a royal lately?"

"Ehhhhh, Nope." The book replies, remaining silent for a few seconds. It begins to hem and haw for a minute, before continuing with "Nehhh, wait, wait, think I heard somethin' 'bout a kid with nice clothes wand'rin' 'round in Firston."

Neil leans closer to the book "Is he speaking common? I can't tell. Sounds like Orcish to me...".

"Firston? How far away is that?" Rafe asked. He was thinking hard, though... was the place already a claimed Theive's Guild territory?

Vamp pulls her book away from the shoulder surfers. "Thank you for your help!"

The sylph rolls to his feet and smooths his tunic "Well that certainly isn't much of a lead, but it's better than nothing. Come, we should go see if this lead bears any fruit."

Callie leaps to her feet, doing a little dance before setting off towards the door.

Come, my brave Protagonists! There is adventure to be had and fun to be shared!

She stops outside and glances around. Flipping up her hood, she turns her reddening face towards her companions. Um... which way is Firston?

Temitia

The tiefling finds herself chuckling at the scene as people reposition themselves to better access Ms. Pimpington's tavelogue. "I guess we've got a lead now. Excuse me for a moment, I've gotta say bye."

Temitia stands up and almost skips to the bar, waving enthusiastically at Tess. "Hey Tess! I'm going on an adventure for the king! Can you let Karra know I won't be back and not to worry about me?"

"This way, fair Callie. Now, we have a fair damsel to rescue". He makes sure his cloak flutters just the right way as he opens the door and steps outside with a spring in his step.

"... That's an unfortunate choice of words, but we must away." She snaps the book shut in one hand in a dramatic manner.

Rafe follows quietly for once. He remembered that he "forgot" to pay last time he came, and was hoping that the proprietors... and Temita... wouldn't realize it before they got clear.

Vamp Pimpington grabs a some rations from a nearby stall, as well as a sleeping bag.

She suddenly does a heel turn and addresses her party. "So, we head to the town, ask a few questions, and get our next lead on the Prince. Any questions, my humble comrades?"

"None here, other than where you got that 'humble' part from"

"A week from now we'll return the prince and be deemed heroes. You guys should have heroic traits. Ng knows you lack any others..." She mutters the last bit. "Anyway, you will now be humble. As your leader I will shoulder the burden of the fame. Such is the curse of the magnanimous."

Calliope skips past Vamp with an audacious grin on her face.

You might lead the heroes, she chirps in a sing-song voice, but I'm the Narrator! So follow me, my fair Protagonists!

~And so, the heroes set off! The Dame, their intrepid leader! Temitia, their charismatic guide! Neil, their valiant guardian! Mixevas (I hope I'm pronouncing that right...), their mysterious soldier! Rafe, their dashing scoundrel! And of course, their humble manservant, Bait! Who knew where the winds of adventure would take them now? Did it really matter? Probably not!~

"I'd rather stick with the storyteller than a delusioned non-knight, nevermind that I'm the only one qualified to direct an expedition such as this" He huffs, and pokes at Callie's side "Do not forget, fair narrator, that you are a part of this adventure as well. Some may call it vain to write stories about oneself but... well I'm the star of every story I've ever written and it hasn't led me astray!".

He makes a point to walk right past Dame Pimpington and down the road toward Firston "Now instead of quibbling like children over who gets to go first, let us continue on and find the princess. Real do not stand around in the dirt arguing! They take action!".

Bait nods and sets down his half-finished beer, ready to follow.

"Listen to the narrator, companion. It claims I am the leader." She gives a warm smile and continues down the road.
