Ajax shook his head at the armored pony's question, too busy pulling at a small iron bar that was stuck in the ground. After a few moments, he had managed to uproot it.

It was pink and rusty, about as tall as a pony, and about as wide around as his hand. Objectively, it was a terrible weapon, but he was in dire straights.

Peering out from the side of one of the stands, he chucked the metal pole at the pink robot of metallic death, hoping that it would at least hit it's head or something.

Three more bots are downed by the your gunfire, but five more bots appear, and you finally spot a bright pink spritebot hiding in the Merry-Go-Round.

Ajax's projectile bounces off the Hug Bot, denting it slightly. Hug Target Identified it beeps happily driving directly towards Ajax, ignoring Manco, Blank Slate, and Straight as it drives past them. It's uncomfortably close now, and it begins to rev up it's buzz saws.

Meanwhile the sprite bots have not been idle, their gunfire falling like hail, managing to tag Gerry again, and clip Straight this time as well.

Rig swings his guns around and takes a few slow shots at the pink sprite behind the carousel, when it pops out into his crosshairs.

Straight finished wrestling with his battle saddle, and brought it to bear on the spritebot winking in and out of the carousel. "I don't suppose you have a pulse grenade, do ya, Gerry?" Ptang! Ptang! "I feel like giving a robot a hug." Then, mindful of the risks with such a sentence, the pegasus took off to a safe height, out of melee distance.

The Hug Bot chases after Ajax, ignoring everyone else, as the Pink Spritebot is blown to pieces by the good aim of Straight and Gerry. As soon as it is destroyed the other spritebots cease firing, and begin to play March of the Parasprites as they fly aimlessly around.

"I'll be honest folks, I still wanna shoot them. They make better components than musicians!" Gerry yells over the music.

The spritebots begin to collect themselves, so to speak, and each begin to fly in a different direction.

"Yeah, we can shoot the breeze later," Manco added.

Seeing Ajax hard-pressed and their other threats seemingly dispersed, the alicorn takes wing. Sprinting straight at the robot, she slashes past at head height before rising out of reach, taking Ajax with her ensconced in a telekinetic field.

"Thought you could use a hoof. Hand," she rapidly corrects.

Ajax was absolutely not expecting the Alicorn's magic, and, quite reasonably, was shocked when he felt himself being lifted off the ground and getting trailed behind the crazy pony in midair.

Gerry Rig's dual nail-gun repeaters swivel apart and fall into line on either side of the pony, calibrating themselves like a standard saddle. There's a small whine as pressure builds in some preparatory mechanism or other.

"Swing friend Minotaur over here! I want to unload on the hugmachine."

Hug Bot withstood the barrage of gunfire from the team, and emerged battered but upright. For a few seconds, it looked like the fight was still on, but it's buzzsaws slowly petered out as it's last dregs of power faded. It finally crackled and began to smoke as some internal electronics caught fire.

By now all of the Spritebots had flown away leaving the team alone in the destroyed park, with only the music hanging around.

Rig's guns swivel back to their combined and lowered position. ""Golly! Well don't that just beat all?"

The chatter of gunfire and remembered adrenaline of combat subsided (real adrenaline having run dry over a century go when... Well... Let's just say she wasn't happy), the engineer began the work of plopping sprite bodies, whole, into his saddlebags before approaching the downed ponytron and rubbing his hooves.

It was clear; he wouldn't move without a dissection but afterwards he could sit there for hours unless someone prodded him on.

"I'm just gonna see what nifty gizmos mister -Tron has in his belly, what say? Ooh ho-ho-ho! I can't wait to get at the positronic brain..."

There was actually very little left of the Spritebots after being shot. Despite having a means to defend themselves, they were never meant to fight, and a single bullet left little more then scraps.

"We should grab only what we can carry," Straight said, picking up a scrap of spritebot and stashing it in his saddlebags. "We still need to hit Red Eye's buildings, see if we can't scavenge what we need."

"... Yeah." Gerry Rig rubs his eyes, tiredly. Focus. Prioritize. Keep these ponies clean and safe. "Just. Hey. Keep an eye out for more spritebots would you? I only need one. With the traumatic circuits and the crystal of their eyes, I can build a mini light refractor. Generate a little bit of juice, funnel it through some of this junk and a complete sprite, and we've got ourselves an arc torch. Or a one-time plasma missile."

With a similar ratcheting nosir the helmet goes back on and tired, world weary Gerry Rig is no more. "Do let's get this show on the road! We've got a party to crash and I, frankly, want to talk to this Pink Eyes about her choice of Muzak."

"Right," Straight said. "We're heading into the buildings. It'd be nice if we manage to escape anypony's notice, though I doubt it. Prioritize technology, especially stuff that might help us provide for everypony. Let's stick together. In, out, boom."
