I'm looking for a word to describe a character
...that means "rapidly forms judgments about people and situations and then stubbornly clings to them." 'Judgmental' doesn't quite fit because he isn't all that critical of people. Nor does 'prejudiced' because he doesn't have many preconceived notions about people based on broad characteristics.
I have a feeling that there is a perfect word, like it's on the tip of my tongue, but I'm absolutely stuck.
Any ideas?

Biased or self-righteous could be what you're looking for.
Both have a tendency to focus more on the fact that your character automatically assumes he's right, rather than basing his opinion on the behavior of those around him.

That mean to "make a show of being morally superior to others". . .
Would that work? It could, in a way, with the whole "making a show of being superior" part.
