Default 1,001 Odd Superheroes and Supervillains

    I'll start it off.

Murphy: Every time Murphy says "He should be fine unless X happens", X happens. He need not always exercise this power.

Collateral Damage Man: Can cause massive explosions, shoot energy beams, launch nearby items, etc... seemingly limited only by the fear of the collateral damage it always causes.

Notices Obvious Pauses Man: Whenever another superhero pauses before an obvious bluff, NOPM can notice it in spite of the overwhelming gullibility of everyone else around him. Seemingly the weakest power yet thwarts many plot lines before they even begin.

You've set the bar high, which I think is why you've seen few contenders. Let's see what I can come up with.

Recursion man - can trap anyone in a groundhog day scenario.

Timeslip - can skip up to five seconds of time at a time.

Chronoplast - has the power to slow or speed up cellular metabolism of plants.

    Oh, this will be fun.

Minor Midas: Whatever he touches becomes gilded with gold.

The Graffiti-er: His breath is like spray-paint.

Slow-Mo: Can experience everything in slow-motion.

Intercom Man: Can project his voice through nearby intercoms.

    11) Constantly Gets Hit By Cars Man: Constantly gets hit by cars

    12) Always late man: Always late. Too everything. Including physical harm.

13)Unlucky Man: Has superpowers of his choice every day of the week except Friday the thirteenth, when a man with a chainsaw starts chasing him for 24 hours.

    14. Infinity Man: Can set a given attribute (strength, speed, intelligence, etc) to an infinite level. However, his abilities are impossible to limit. For example, by obtaining 'Infinite Sight' he saw far enough into space to make the Hubble telescope look like a kaleidoscope in comparison (he's still receiving therapy from the experience, because 'Infinite Sanity' worked too well for him)

    15. Riddlerror: Arranges catastrophic events to occur unless people can solve his 'riddles'. However, his 'riddles' have very little basis in actual logic, and he only gives one guess...

    16. Atom Tom: With the power to reduce himself to the size of a single molecule, Thomas Smalls was never taken seriously by superheros. He decided to get revenge by threatening to kill himself with an atom smasher while shrunk. Since he is composed of millions of molecules, Tom would knowingly produce an explosion millions of times more powerful than the world's most powerful atomic bomb if he did this.

    17. 2d6-Head; a villain, he rolls a pair of six-sided dice and then acts in accordance with the results of the roll based on a table of possible outcomes that he wrote up beforehand. Sometimes he hands the table to the victim first so they can see for themselves that yes, it really does say that.

    18. Music Man. Sonic blast powers that gain power as the volume of sound increases. Can be activated by any musical device, including iPhone, CD player and hand-held guitar with portable amp. In case of great need, has been known to belt out show tunes. Occasionally hired by bars to provide security on karaoke night. Theme song: "The Phaaaaaaaaaantom of the Opera!"

    19. Cardboard Man. A former security guard at a paper plant, now cursed - or is it blessed? - with a body made of heavy-duty reinforced cardboard, he patrols the night streets of The City, carefully avoiding blunt instruments, sharp slicing blades, and water.

Toppings guy may not be the most useful but I bet he is the most popular.

    22. Apathy man: Accomplishes nothing and yet... accomplishes everything he ever wanted.

    23. Shadowshare: Can become another person's shadow, following him anywhere, then switching to another person or object's shadow. Master infiltrator thwarted mainly by cloudy days and well distributed headquarters lighting schemes.

    24. Future Perfect Man. His powers over grammar and time will have changed the future into something more perfect by the time you will have arrived.

    25. The Monday Morning Quarterback. This villain knows the perfect way to defeat the hero after the battle is already over.

    28. Power-Up Guy: As soon as PUG sees a foe, with enormous taxing effort he may tense up as if he were constipated and make loud strained noises to increase his strength. This always takes so long that either his allies are done fighting or he gets taken out before he finishes. But man, if given the chance he could get really strong.

    29. Glittermaster: Gm always carries a backpack full of plastic glitter over which he has complete telekinetic control. Gm can only propel it at a few mph. Had a brief stint as a sidekick providing dramatic entrances for the main hero. Eventually went mad from uselessness, turned evil and took over a glitter factory. Once enemies were in, they were trapped. The surrounding glitter slowly closed in, entered all orifices choking and blinding to death. Others fled the slow moving glitter to formulate a new plan to take down Gm from afar. But "30. Captain Walks into Traps Before You" will not be forgotten.

    31. Common Household Object Dude. Common Household Object Dude can produce any common household object from his pockets, backpack, fanny pack, whatever as long as he can wear it. As if Common Household Object Dude had brought it along with him all along. Need a soda? Common Household Object Dude has you covered.

    32. Glass-Strengthener Guy: Any glass close to him becomes unbreakable, stopping pesky heroes from making dramatic entrances.

    33. Mishap Man: Constantly tripping, running into objects, and having objects crash into him, the only reason this guy is a superhero is because he can cause the same effects to occur to anyone he can see.

    34. The Alarmer: Can create a loud ringing noise, causing everyone near to feel the uncontrollable urge to slap him to make the noise stop.

    35. Tree-thing. Possesses the power to turn into a tree at will. In season, can make leaves turn colors, then fall off.

    36. The Human Pool Filter. Simply by swishing any liquid around in his mouth, he can remove all impurities and spit out a stream of sparkling pure water. Everyone refuses to drink it, however.

    37. That Radio Guy. Within moments of hearing a song on the radio, can tell you everything about it - artist, song title, album, when and where recorded, on what record label, who was the producer, and more. Consistently beats internet search engines by several seconds.

    38. Man Man. An alien with all the abilities of a human. Behold my opposable thumbs and lack of tentacles on my otherwise alien body!

    39. Pepper. A freckled girl with the ability to make others sneeze at the most unfortunate times.

    40. Inkwell. A criminal who can temporarily cover objects in obscuring blackness with a touch. Shrouds his face and lights.

42: Brain Gas: Can cause superheroes to forget how to most effectively use their powers for the duration of the fight. Not the most dangerous criminal, but a particular source of irritation for many heroes, who realize they could have beaten him easily had they only thought to use that one thing.

43: R.L. the Rules Lawyer: Can break the laws of physics by offering a technobabble explanation for why it should work the way he wants it to.

44: The Sharpener: Can sharpen objects he touches. Famously wiped out an army division using only a bag of sharpened Skittles.

    49. Lord Ninja. After a freak accident involving a time machine, a boxed lunch, three rifles and the essence of a pinguin, Lord Ninja has been granted the supernatural ability to... always be faster than you. Every single time someone in the same room as him wants to say something, Lord Ninja will be saying it several seconds earlier. He has annoyed at least three villains to death so far by reciting their entire Villainous Speech moments before the villains got to speak.

The screamer - constantly lets out ear piercing screams. These screams are not audible. They are however fatal to his enemies. Goes by the nickname Banshee. Superhero.

Wally - expert spy. Very difficult to find. Always wears a characteristic red and white striped shirt and hat. Villain.

Meekam - incarnation of a lost god. Capable of seducing at a touch. Touch telepath. Embarrassed by own abilities. Currently in hiding. Neither hero nor villain.
