The more I read Dr McNinja, the more I think that, in another life, Chris would have been an awesome cryptic crossword maker.

I can't do cryptics. I love them, but my mind just doesn't work that way. What I really really love is getting the answers and then working out what the clue meant and then going "Oh yeah, clever"

Here, I like to imagine the convoluted thought processes that I am quite certain went on to end up with this comic scenario.

It goes something like this:

Christopher: I need a new idea. Something that hasn't been done before?
Christopher: Talking robots?
Christopher: Meh
Christopher: Frankenstein
Christopher: Do you even read what I do? I just did that with the Judy story, idiot.
Christopher: Ghouls, zombies, wild rampaging elephants, pixies, mermen.... You haven't done mermen. Mermen is seriously underdone. What is there? Aquaman? We need cooler mermen
Christopher: The problem with mermen, idiot. They are stuck in water.
Christopher: Yeah, but.... What if they had these water bubbles around their heads? Then they could move on land
Christopher: They've got TAILS. Sheesh, it's like talking to a 2 year old.
Chrisopher: Jetpacks.

Depending on how snug that thing is around the waist, it probably has room to swivel around, which it probably needs to be able to do given the lack of obvious control surfaces.

This question may be about a year overdue, but how does Dr McNinja have blonde eyebrows when both his parents have black eyebrows? I thought it was a recessive trait. I mean I can see how his dad might be a carrier being Irish but what's Mitsy's nationality?

That's how recessive traits work, if both of them are Xx then they can make an xx baby. If they both had blonde eyebrows they couldn't have a black eyebrow baby. I don't see why it's surprising.

Unless you mean black eyebrows are recessive, in which case I am surprised by that fact and have no explanation for you.

Blonde is recessive. Meaning both parents could be carriers. I myself have light colored hair while my parents both had dark hair. My brother is the same way. We both have enough of our father's characteristics that my parentage is not in question.

It seems an odd coincidence for Mitsy to be a carrier. If anything I'd assume she's full blooded Japanese or other Asian. We do know she's not from Ireland, or at least had nothing to do with the McNinja tree before marrying one. I forget the rest.

Comic Sans was released in 1994, but that was as a raster typeface not remotely suitable for that side of printing. I can't find any information on when it was rendered as a vector, but probably not until 1997 (for Windows 98). Do we know how old the Doc is?
