Ponies not only make ME want to be a better person than I was before they entered my life, they make me want to HELP OTHERS be better people too.
And that is a GOOD thing by any definition.

It was only a matter of time until this meme made its way to this fandom.

The awesome thing about being an adult is when you figure out you can eat whatever. So I'm having lemon meringue pie and a cup of Joe for breakfast.
I actually had to Google this meme. First time I heard of it.
Course when my daughter's mama isn't home we just jump on the Nintendo emulator and play Pokemon games.Last edited by DigoDragon; 2014-11-18 at 07:47 AM.

Re: My Little Pony LXXXIV: That's Not Canon Yet!
I hate funerals.
The rest of the day wasn't too great, either. I mean, the funeral was by far the worst, but all the other little niggles add up too.
What doies it say about this fandom that Ranbow Dash has not just literally been shipped with everything including the kitchen sink - it's not even the FIRST time she's beeen shipped with the kitchen sink.

Re: My Little Pony LXXXIV: That's Not Canon Yet!
It might be aporyphal, but a friend told me about a fanfic that litterally shipped her with the kitchen sink.
Then there was the comic that had her dreaming that her special somepony was cheating on her, only for her to wake up and talk with them, revealing them to be the sink.(Or something like that, I ahven't seen tyhat one in a while)
It doesn't count because no art or stories, but I remember seeing a forum on Fimfic that had one poster comment that their OT3 was Rainbow/Pinkie/Sink. I don't remember is it was Rainbowpie, Rainbow Pie, Pinkiedash, or The Rainbow Dash Fanclub though.
anyway, I was watching Maude Pie again last Night, and I noticed during the Pet Picnic that Maude set afood aside for Boulder. At one point it cuts to the scene again and the food is gone.Last edited by Rater202; 2014-11-18 at 02:02 PM.

Re: My Little Pony LXXXIV: That's Not Canon Yet!
You had hard drives???? When I were a lad we had to make do with tapes.
On a completely different slant, I was walking from work to the station with one of my colleagues, and he was threatening to use me as a ghost writer for his memoirs. I mentioned that he would be better off with voice-to-text software.
As I headed into the station I started switching my mind to things Pony (more interesting than thinking about work or looking at South London) it suddenly occurred to me: Of course Twilight uses Spike to do most of her writing. She's using Dragon Dictate.
I feel sure someone else has come up with this one, but a couple of searches came up with nowt.Warning: This posting may contain wit, wisdom, pathos, irony, satire, sarcasm and puns. And traces of nut.

Re: My Little Pony LXXXIV: That's Not Canon Yet!
AAAAAARGH!
Just to crown the day, I came to get my catachan green - the base coat for the Rift Collective - and foud the franking thing is COMPLETEY dry. Not just "slightly dry and on it's way out" like a lot of the other simialr age paints, but "rock-solid half-full pot of paint wasted" dry.
So now I have to wait several days for a replacement (from vallejo's equivilent becase frack citidel paints since they changed 'em all again, I'll pay - even including postage - only as much for -50% the amount).
The most frustrating thing? I still have perfectly good paints from the original round pots (my Hobgoblin Orange for one)! Damn GW and their cost-cutting measures over the years.

As a former R&D technician for Behr, I have to ask... what volatile organic compounds do you have lying around? Because most paint uses VOC's to solubilize the pigments. You likely have an oil based paint, for example. Does it say what kind of oil under an ingredients list?

Re: My Little Pony LXXXIV: That's Not Canon Yet!
As for unicorns and weather magic, just let me mention that in “Boast Busters”, the Great and Powerful Trixie appears to have weather magic: she summons a stormcloud over Rainbow Dash and makes a lightning bolt from it shock her. Is that's a real cloud or just some illusion?

Re: My Little Pony LXXXIV: That's Not Canon Yet!
I used to have an 8-track player. :3
Heh heh, yeah.
Dang, that sucks. D:
Could have been just a temporary construct? A summoned cloud? I dunno.
The bolt that struck Dash's butt (and later the Ursa) seemed real enough.

Re: My Little Pony LXXXIV: That's Not Canon Yet!
It's all acrylic paint. The none of them has ever had any kind of ingredient list or anything, so your guess is probably better than mine. On top of the changes to the paint, though the citidel paint's biggest problem over time has simply been the pots. To summarise, over the years GW paints have got increasingly small amounts and the pots they have been sold in have varied considrably in quality. They started with 20ml round pits with flip lids (which as I say, I still have knocking on for twenty years on for stuff I don't use a lot of, like Hobgoblin orange) and then later slightly smaller 17.5ml hex pots with flip lids (also fine, and IU have quite a few of those.) Then they went to screw-top lids - which, despite being larger pots than the the previous ones, held only about 12ml - marketing issue, I'm sure, to make it look like you were getting more paint for your money. I don't have ANY of those because the pots were so risible that once opened, the paints dried up in under a year. Then they went back to flip lids, one the same oversized pots (which is perhaps 50% of my current paints, and gradually being repalced by the vallejo ones) which were better but still very variable as to whether they dry up or not, as the flip-lid is not very well sealed still, and the most recent ones I have are slightly smaller pots, still 12ml, but actually not wasting any volume and with a flip lids that appears to seal slightly better. (So, possibly final batch aside, it is literally a case of "don't make 'em like they used to.")
Since they last decided to change all the paints (and names of the paints)again a year or two ago, though, I have switched to Vallejo, who do a "citidel paint equivilent" range, are about 75-80% of the price for nearly +50% the volume of paint (17ml), and these come in pippet squeezy plastic pots. They thus far appear to be fairly good for not drying out (though I've not had them for multiple years yet).Last edited by Aotrs Commander; 2014-11-18 at 04:36 PM.

Re: My Little Pony LXXXIV: That's Not Canon Yet!
It's all acrylic paint.
I can't say I have any particular ideas on the bottle problem; you can try wrapping the lid with electrical tape to prevent loss, or storing it inside a larger airtight container, but that's about it from what I can remember.Last edited by Juntao112; 2014-11-18 at 04:55 PM.
