Aw...sonofabit... Doc Kyrian Brown thinks as he's dragged out. Oh, she's staying at the saloon actually, but she's got the gold with her.

"The saloon, you say? Well come on then, let's get to work before someone else finds the gold. Gold, I say!"

The Crazy Old Prospector tries to drag Doc Kyrian up the stairs by his arm.

[Kyrian]

Doc Kyrian pulls his arm free. You go on ahead. I'll be there later. In fact, take half my cut.

El J's eyes tighten. "You been hit in the head, sonny? It's gold, gold we're gonna go fetch! What sort of fool wouldn't want that?" He suddenly dances back up to Doc Kyrian and grabs his coat lapel. "Unless you're holdin' out on me, Doc? Are ye?"

[Lord Magtok]

*Points at Eli (Saurous).*

You there, could you move a little to the left? You're blocking my view of Kidd's message, and I'm trying to see if he left us any sort of clue.

[Kyrian]

Nope, ain't holding out on you my friend. Just tired, that's all.

"Tired, you say? Well, prospectin' is hard work, and it is a might late." The Crazy Old Man lets Doc Kyrian go.

"We might as well turn in before our big day tomorrow. Where's yer guest bed, Doc?"

[Kyrian]

Out back. Doc Kyrian sighs.

"Hmpf. Well, I guess it'll have to do, fer a young feller like yourself."

The Crazy Old Prospector heads upstairs and flops down in Doc Kyrian's bed.

Doc Kyrian heads upstairs, having had enough of this, and attempts to slam the butt of his rifle to the Prospector's head.

Kyrian's brutal attack knocks the poor Old Prospector out cold; he drops like a stone, straight into Doc's bed, and promptly begins snoring. As I'm headed to bed myself, attempts to move or wake him will, alas, fail miserably.

Doctor Quentin, Medicine Man, is in his office listening to an old woman complain about her joints when a young boy bursts into the two room shack that he refers to as his practice. "The Old Prospector just got knocked out down at Doc's house. 'Ugh why does he insist on calling himself Doc! He's clearly not half the doctor I am, if he can't even deal with that crazy old man!' Quentin thinks as he grabs his bag and runs out to the house.

He burst into the door: "Ok Doc, where is he!?"

Doc Kyrian turns and aims at Quentin. He's fine. Now, I'd learn how to knock, or I may just open fire these days.

Sitting on a chair outside the saloon with his Kentucky Long Rifle, "Squirrel Hunter" McGee (as his friends have reluctantly agreed to call him) looks out over the mess that's been made.

"That hombre Kidd was always squirrely in mah book," he drawls, then spits out a wad of tobacco chaw juice that hits a tiny target drawn in chalk on one of the wooden beams holding up the awning.

"Still got it," he murmured to himself with a chuckle.

"Unfortunately him and his boys are also masters at hidin' themselves away. Could be any one of you is one of his boys."

He swivels the rifle so it rests in both hands as he sits. He pauses, then squints, seeing something on the church steeple. Quick as a lick he brings the rifle up and fires.

Three buildings away, an otherwise innocent squirrel falls from the steeple and hits the ground, dead dead dead.

"Ain't nothin' squirrely I can't shoot."

Mosey's on out of his house as all the commotion is going on. Seems what we have here is a dilly of a pickle looks around, whips out his six shooter, and points the barrel at psychoduck 14You look fishy to me young feller. , then spins the cylinder out and begins to clean gun.

Brett Indurick steps out of the saloon, still holding his cards from the game. "Where'd those 6 get off to?" He looks out over the scene in shock, before watching Alarrabelle talking to the tall cowboy.

"Mr. Strong, you may want to watch your moneypurse around that there lady." He says, pointing to Alarabelle (but not an actual point). "She's got nimble fingers, if you know what I mean."

[Alarra]

Alarrabelle glares at Indurick before returning her undivided attention back to the gentleman in front of her. "Oh pay no attention to him, he's just jealous cause I'm talkin to you." She flashes a brilliant smile and lays a hand lightly on his arm. "Mr......Strong, was it? My...and you certainly do seem to be. What business was it you said you were in now?"

I'm in the mining business, actually. I develop and sell machinery. State of the art stuff. Pneumatic Drills, Air filters, the works. Granted, most of the mines in the area are beginning to run dry, but I'm quite certain there are untapped resources out here somewhere.

Quentin throws up his hands "Don't shoot! Gosh darnit, Doc, you have got to stop doin' that!" Getting over the surprise of having a gun shoved in his face, Quentin puts his hands down. "Now someone told me that the old man collapsed. Now he could have had a heart attack or a stroke, why don't you help me carry him back down to my office."

[Kyrian]

Why don't I...son are you plum mad?! Here's why I don't. 1) We're inside, NO ONE could have possibly told you he collapsed. 2) His post specifically states that ANY attempt to move him fails. So I think your best bet is to step right on back out that door and go back to wherever you came from.

[Alarra]

"I see, I see....well that certainly does sound interesting....and is it a lucrative business...these....mining supplies?"

Depends on what the climate's like where you are. At the moment, business is slow. I was on my way to a trade show in San Fran when I stopped here to see if I could find some business. The trade show is in 2 weeks. I hope I can make it there in time...

"Well fine. Have it your way doc. If the old man dies in his sleep, its on your head." He turns to leave, but stops just before he closes the door and says, "and I'd watch yourself, if you think you can keep secrets in this town. Everyone knows everybody's secrets."


Quentin walks calmly back to the office down the street. Luckily the old women had left. He decided to close up shop for the day and head down to the saloon.

He had heard about the murders earlier that day and wondered who could be in cahoots with those bandits and outlaws. He needed some time to think, and to drink. And whiskey sure cures what ails ya.

[Alarra]

"Oh I'm sure everthing'll be just fine. Burt here'll take care of those outlaws, won't you, Burt?" Alarrabelle has clearly grown weary of this dull businessman, and turns her smile back to Indurick.

[Kyrian]

Seeing the Prospector out for the night, Doc Kyrian Brown heads back downstairs, and removes the tarp covering the DeLorean. He spends some time going around checking all of the body, before seeing her as fit for travel. Now all he needed was to get himself a team of horses, and hope he could reach eighty-eight miles an hour with them. Time wasn't on his side, so he'd have to work fast. Going back upstairs, Doc Kyrian padlocks the only way into the basement. The door is locked with multiple locks, some of them even being locks from the future.

I don't think I liked that guy's threat, so I think I'll make a note to Point at janusnori and hope he hangs.

At some point, Doc Kyrian will come upstairs to find the Crazy Old Prospector gone and his bottle of ether emptied.

Ikari calmly begins cleaning his single action revolver, whistling to himself softly.

Seems like every town's got to have its outlaws nowadays...those kids need to grow up. Killin' for fun's no good.

Wouldn't say no to killin' a few of the folk 'round here for other reasons, though...some of them are mighty fishy...

"It's Brett, and the way I see it, there's plenty of folks 'round here who seem interested in taking up the cause. It's like my ole pappy used to say, you can't lose your neck if you don't stick it out."
