Grneral vs specific feats and spells
Im looking at the spell fangs of the master vampire. It says you get a bite attack, at +10 bonus plus your STR mod. But say you have weapon finesse?

Then the spell is markedly less useful. It still gives you +10 Str.

Re: Grneral vs specific feats and spells
Don't know the spell. Reference? As for the feat, the key considerations are that natural weapons are always considered light weapons. With a light weapon you may use your DEX modifier instead of your STR modifier on attack rolls.
Now you said the spell gives +10 bonus plus STR mod. You did not state bonus to attack or damage. Assuming both, you can use DEX or STR on attack and STR on damage with Weapon Finesse.Last edited by BowStreetRunner; 2015-01-19 at 04:32 PM.

Re: Grneral vs specific feats and spells
The spell was updated in the Spell Compendium (and is actually called Fangs of the Vampire King). It now is written in a non-stupid way, and just gives you a bite attack like it should have in the first place.
