The Elven wizard nods, taking center in the middle of the party- he'll be better protected there, and can easily run if something goes wrong.

Horrik and her small retinue carefully lead the way down the broken stones and into the corner of a chamber below. The torchlight casts a bright glow that illuminates about three quarters of the square room (approximately 70 feet along each side); the "stairs" are in the northeast corner, so the southwest corner is lit only by the faint glow of patchy, phosphorescent fungus that seems to grow naturally here. Ragged, decaying tapestries of ancient gods battling powerful demons are hung on all four walls. The floor is dusty and largely appears undisturbed, save the footprints of small animals near the rock-strewn entrance. The only exit is a wooden door set in the south wall, 20 feet east from the southwest corner.

Damnit, I knew that too and still I managed to screw it up. Sorry, I'll make it not happen again.

The gathering of the tapestries will take about 10 minutes, as they are fairly heavy, about 10 pounds per 10 feet of wall (sum total 280 pounds). Does anyone else want to do anything while this is going on? Do you (drack) want to put a limit on the amount of weight carried or time spent pulling the fabric down from the walls?

Sudden movement draws attention of Barzulf, so far concerned with chamber construction and condition of walls.

Wait. Let me check this first - says, then starts to mutter, as though explaining himself - I expected something quite different. It's not like some bear is living here and trampling this place all over.

Step back,in case I spring something off - says, turning to Thump and Mudd. Waits a moment, then draws his tools and examines door frame, handle and lock.

The door swings open easily on well-made hinges, revealing a short 10' corridor that opens into an irregularly shaped room. The torchlight beams toward the gargantuan skull with a yawning maw that has been carved from a protrusion in the west wall immediately south of where the party stands (by the north door).

The whole party can now hear faint chittering noises, as of rodents, coming from the direct of the oversized skull. The source is not clearly visible, however.

There is a wooden door in the east wall 25' south of the north wall, and a gargantuan stone skull on the west wall 25' south of the north wall. The opening in the SW corner represents a 10' archway that is not immediately visible from where the party stands, but will be obvious if the party moves that far into the room.
