Re: Trogland IX: Are you a bad wolf too?
Yes, something seems to be wrong with the site confirmation. Everything is going through correctly, but the site isn't recognizing the token for some reason. I'll have to look into it.
Just to clarify, registration IS going through correctly, it's just that the switch that says "oh, ok, that worked" isn't flipping.
Edit:
OK
The registration confirmation issue on the registration site has been fixed with 30 seconds of Google and a minor declaration. Looks like PayPal upgraded the version of SSL its APIs are using, and didn't bother telling me; the code that handles the actual connection was hard-coded to use the previous version. Thanks, PayPal, I was using your library. That's right, you made a change that made your own #$%^ code stop functioning. And here I thought, if I don't screw with it, it won't break. Silly me. grumble grumble...
Anyway, the site should be active again, and registration confirmations should complete successfully now.

Re: Trogland IX: Are you a bad wolf too?
Hmm. Can you be more specific? My only notification on this was a confirmation success, and I don't see anything in the logs.
Edit:
Nevermind, I think I know what happened. There actually wasn't an "error" per se, but I think I see how one was reported (fun with asynchronicity). The notice users should get in that situation now will say something along the lines of "in progress" instead of suggesting something actually went wrong.
Ok, so that one was my fault. Kinda surprised that hasn't happened before now.
Anyway, should be fixed now.
And, yes, everything went through correctly.

Re: Trogland IX: Are you a bad wolf too?
grrrr. Just can't get this thing right, can I? Yeah, you have to log in first, but you shouldn't have gotten that. That'll be fixed momentarily. ....furkin...durglers....
edit: Fixed. That error was caused by the solution to the previous error. Because, of course it was.

I think Saturday night would be best for a 5th ed game because there is less "meeting and reaquanting" going on.

Re: Trogland IX: Are you a bad wolf too?
Oh yeah, sorry, Archonic, I meant to reply to you on that as well.
The best times for "organized" tabletop games are usually friday and saturday nights, in the 8pm-midnight range. Saturday afternoon is also a possibility if there is a dedicated interest, but that time has, historically, been a bit more chaotic.
On a quasi-related note, I am planning to run another Little Fears game this year (probably on saturday night) - this one will be a brand new arc.

Re: Trogland IX: Are you a bad wolf too?
I might not be able to make it this year as my dad made plans to go to Plymouth, MA (the town I grew up in) that same weekend
We're trying to fandangle me maybe coming up later via airplane, after the meetup, but we're not sure

Re: Trogland IX: Are you a bad wolf too?
I only just noticed this was a thing. I live in knoxville so I may have to try and come down for it. Side note, for someone that can probably only come down what day what day would you say is the best to come.

Re: Trogland IX: Are you a bad wolf too?
Saturday. Going to the ropes course is the best. Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. Possibly fried pineapple and peaches. And then at the end of the day, we go back to the conference room and play games, games, games! Yay!!!

Re: Trogland IX: Are you a bad wolf too?
Trog himself is going to be there?
I have every intention to come to this year's meetup.
There is a small possibility that I will instead be with my family in California at that time.
But barring that, I plan to attend.
EDIT: Finances successful. Treehawk and I should be there.
Come down on Saturday.

Re: Trogland IX: Are you a bad wolf too?
That or one of Trog's alts.
And Trog will be appearing possibly *holds up a finger and pauses for dramatic effect* Possibly with a special guest. (OooOoooOooo! Mystery! Intrigue! Shotgun-Calling Co-Pilot-ness! Poor sod trapped in a car with a troglodyte for umpteen hours!)
Oh! Side note: Anyone with a Order of the Kubb, GitP Coffee Cult, or other missing image links in their signature to graphics I have made over the years should check for new links here as my old file location appears to have been cut off by my rather inept and irritating phone company. If something in particular is missing PM me and I'll get it uploaded as soon as I can.Last edited by Trog; 2015-04-02 at 05:52 AM.

Re: Trogland IX: Are you a bad wolf too?
I wanted to wander through the thread and pose a very brief question.
There has been an "event" in a few of our prequel Trogland meet-ups, that has not occurred for quite some time. It was fairly taxing, but quite entertaining... I am here to poll the audience, and inquire about the interest level this year.
Would a few of you be interested in climbing?
We have the tools... we can make you better, stronger, fas... No wait. That's something else.
Seriously though... if there is some interest, I would be happy to get out the gear and do a little belaying if some folks wanted to climb at this years cook-out. (provided it does not interfere with Ca$h-n-gun$, or it is not BLAZING hot)Unofficial Brew-Meister in the playground. Just ask!

That does sound tempting, but If I wind up only doing one day then I don't want to drive back tired.

Re: Trogland IX: Are you a bad wolf too?
Rawk. Where ya livin' these days, and would you require/want a carpool to Trogspace? Not that your company wasn't appreciated in the car, but the Evansville leg of our trip did add like 4 hours to the drive time, and I'll admit I won't miss not having to do it if it's not needed
