"Oh, alright, that makes perfect sense. I'll just step aside and...

Go home, little cat thing. No one enters here who does not belong."

Eve grins at the reply.
"So you do have a sense of humour! Fine then, tell me this, what steps would you take to help one of the sisters? Or is your only job to make sure no one gets in? I am trying to help one of the sisters, and really, I can do it without coming in if you actually care about them. But if you just stand here and guard without any other concerns, then I don't know what will happen with Sarah... "

His head tumbles forward in a circle, a motion you take to be a nod of comprehension.

"Ah, Sarah. You must be the girl who was here earlier to acquire some amulet or another and was rebuffed. I expected you to return, though I will admit that I did not recognized you in your polymorphed state."

[Renen]

Eve nods.
[B]"Well, I'm not umm... Polymorphed atleast not now. I'm actually a umm... Well a cat, that can choose to look like a human. Everyone always assumes the opposite, though it's a logical conclusion to make, so I don't blame them."/B]

She paused to sit down and wrap her tail around herself.

"See, I feel really bad for what happened to the girl and I want to help. Unfortunately the sisters think they know better and are asking me to do something which will likely end rather badly for me. See, I just need this amulet thing from them, and I can get Sarah back and forget this whole business. But they seem to think I'm one of those adventurer types that will just do heroically suicidal things, without any fear. So, do YOU want to help Sarah, or am I wasting my time with everyone?"

"Of course I do, but I trust the Sisters' judgement. They have not failed me before, and I do not intend to betray their trust on your word alone, when, from what I was told, you wouldn't even be forthright with "

The door reappears at that moment.

Also, we are talking with telepathy as Eve always does in cat Form. Door doesn't actually do anything, though mindsight gets blocked.

Talking is a free action. Sitting and pondering responses and holding a conversation is not.

Also, he was responding verbally to you, which would be mostly cut off by the door. Even if he was speaking telepathically, the door's sudden reappearance would probably surprise him just enough to interrupt his train of thought and halt him mid sentence.

Eve continues the conversation through the door.
"The sisters aren't infallible. This time their logic is wrong. They can't help Sarah without me, and they expect my help in a way I can't provide it. Is there any way I can prove to you that all I said is the truth? Would you help me then? "

[Rizban]

"What's right or wrong doesn't matter. Only my sacred honor and duty to the Sisters does."

[Renen]

"What about Sarah? Any duty to her? If you disobey the other sisters, they get a bit upset. If you dont help Sarah she gets a bit dead. What does your honour say? Do you have to help Sarah? Or let her die? "

[Rizban]

He does not answer you.

[Renen]

Eve poofs the door away again.

Having grasped the door handle and braced himself against the door to prevent forced entry, the door resists being poofed away through time.

"So you just going to stand there silently for the whole night? I guess all these "good" individuals are only good when it aligns with their rules. Other times they are perfectly fine letting their friends die. It seems I care more than you or the sisters..."

[Rizban]

"Believe as you will. You will not sway me from my oaths, nor is it my duty to change your mind."

[Renen]

"Your oaths to protect the sisters or to listen to their every order? If both, it seems you decided that letting one of them die is perfectly fine if the others decide it is for you."

As Eve is talking she walks over to one of the side windows, which should lead to a separate room (as per what she remembers of the layout), and jumps on the windowstill.

Yeh, the one flaw of time hop. Too bad he has such high will save, though the roll was even more impressive.

He seems unwilling to discuss anything with you that could potentially lead to him questioning himself or his position.

"Oh great! The silent treatment again..."

Eve looks into the room and poofs away the side window, after making sure theres no one awake there.

"So tell me then, what do you think I should do? One of YOUR sisters is in trouble, and just telling everything I know to the other sisters isnt an option. Any suggestions? The night is still young, and you are kinda stuck with me."

She sends her crystal towards the entrance to spy on the outsider, as she continues the conversation while sneaking around the room, and later out of it as she goes to check other spots.

He seems to be completely focused on the door and unwilling to respond at the moment. The widow you poof away (didn't see the edit until now) is in the large main room with the front door, as all windows on this floor seem to be. The being does not seem to notice the window's disappearance or your arrival.

The room is about 50' x 60', and the floor is almost completely covered by women and children in sleeping bags.

One of the Sisters is kneeling next to one of the women whispering quietly with her. The Sister's back is to you.

In one corner three girls that appear to be in their teens have sneaked out of their sleeping bag and are playing some kind of a card game.

The small girl, about 4, directly beneath the window looks up and sees you as you enter. Her eyes get really big.

[Renen]

Jumping down, Eve decides that it would be best not to get caught by the sister, so she sneaks over to the girls that notices her, and lies next to her, rubbing her head against the girl's hand.

"Really? You must be very steadfast in your beliefs. Even asking you about them makes you think very hard. I honestly dont understand why you lot are so rigid. All the talk of working for the greater good, serving your god of light, and for what?"

The four year old sits up as you drop from the window to the floor next to her.

"Kitty!" she exclaims in her excitement over you.

It's interesting for sure. It's got a fairly steep learning curve to make anything decent.

Eve rolls her eyes at the little girl. People are sleeping, be quiet.
She burrows into the girl's sleeping bag.

"Well, it seems that the window is a no-go. You still holding the door, noble guard?"

The girl gets a healthy dose of the suggestion power. "Don't tell anyone about the kitty or they'll take her away."

She succeeds on her save against your suggestion to stay quiet, but she does hear the message.

She tries to grab hold of you as you snake into her bag and says even louder, "No! MY kitty!"

You begin to suspect she's probably only three and just big for her age, but then, you've never been good at guessing the ages of humans anyway.

Of course, at her outcry, the heads of the light being, the Sister, and the three teens all turn to look. Some of those laying down also start to stir.

Realizing the commotion was too much, Eve bats the girls hand away, and runs back to the open window. It wont do to get manhandled by a child afterall, she did have standards. Though she does finally take note of the three girls who are awake in the corner. They seem to be close to age Sarah is, perhaps they know her. On her way out the makes a point to look at them.

*I assume its possible to talk to 3 people at once, or atleast say the exact same thing to all 3, and just listen to replies separately*

"Hello! Ever see a telepathic cat? I'm a friend of Sister Sarah."

Poor Eve, has a strong enough mind to stop some magical artifact book, but too weak to convince a 3 year old to be quiet... oh right... kids... never mind...

Did the kid pull her tail? If yes, there might be some need to revenge later on!

Two of the girls seem surprised, but the third immediately grabs her head and curls into a fetal position screaming, "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!"

Sorry about my absence. Sometimes I just start feeling really crappy, and it lasts for days or weeks at a time. Probably just whenever I get stressed by stuff... Anyways, here's a post :-)

Jumping on the windowsill, Eve steps through the window and sits down wraping her tail around her lower body, and observes the room.

Limiting her telepathy to the two girls, she inquires "What happened to her friend? I have never seen anyone be so upset when I talked to them..."

It's not a problem. That's a benefit of playing a solo game, I suppose.

The girls do not reply to you. You are not sure whether they are too startled, refuse, or simply don't realize they can.

A few seconds later, you hear the Lumi by the door shout out, "Grab that cat! It's the enemy!"
