I'll see what I can do about booking some time off and making sure that I can get there reasonably cheaply. Both should be pretty easy.

I am really really REALLY hoping to make it this time. It's been too long since I've seen your beautiful faces.

Assuming nothing changes, I believe I can make this one without much in the way of trouble. Can't confirm anything of course, but chances look good. Shall input date into diary and explore possibilities.

Also, just in case it got missed a while back:

Archie, the character I have at present in the D&D game is (unless there have been some major release shifts) pretty much utterly impossible to convert and still keep the basis of her character intact. I need to talk to the friend who built her for me again, just to see if there have been some updates that make her workable, but if there haven't you're probably going to lose your Dragon Summoner. Which makes me sad.

Then again, my own fault for picking the most complex and reliant on 4e mechanics character my friend put together for me.

I need to talk to the friend who built her for me again, just to see if there have been some updates that make her workable, but if there haven't you're probably going to lose your Dragon Summoner. never underestimate a resourceful DM.

Maybe you could build a character based on Shamal as a fallback option (although I think outside of the cleric role, Signum and Vita would both be easy enough to build as long as you homebrewed their weapons- and quite fun to play as well)

correct. At the moment she is completely away from established classes. And maybe so for a while. But since our meetings are biannually by the time winter or next summer rolls around it'll be more feasible to re introduce her. Play the long game how unlikely is it that they will completely drop a class?

Hell straight up now. Cleric with a pseudo dragon familiar granted by her god that can channel touch attacks. Fluff it how you want it's mechanically possible if not perfect.

Play the long game. I certainly am.

In other news, I've got the time booked off from work for the meetup, so unless something goes drastically wrong, I will be there.
