Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
As you may guess by the title, I plan to use the spell dancer PrC for this Paladin/bard build I am making. What are some ways to become immune to the aforementioned status effects so I can dance all day and dance all night? :D

Necropolitan is fantastic if your DM lets it fly.

I heard Horizon Walkers gain immunity to fatigue with 1 level.

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
Ohh thats a good one!
I am looking at taking one level of binder for this class I am making since I will have crazy high CHA. It wont make me immune to fatigue, but it will allow me to repair ability damage like fast healing.
It seems I have a lv4 pally spell that does it too, so I may be dumping a lot of levels into Pious Templar to get that if I go that route.

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
Get a paladin wand of lesser restoration, and just instantly cure ability damage and fatigue. Cheap and effective. An infinite wand if you are going to be doing it every day.

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
Shape Soulmeld: Strongheart Vest with 1 point of essentia will negate the 2 Con damage. Binding Naberius (Tome of Magic) is also popular for Hellfire Warlocks, but that only heals 1 Con per round.
As for fatigue...
Magic Items:
Icewild Lichen Paste (50 GP, Secrets of Sarlona). Non-magical vegetable material, so you may be able to make your own via psionic minor creation.
Sphere of Awakening (MIC, 1800 GP). 1/day eliminates fatigue.
Boots of the Unending Jourey (MIC, 4000 GP). Relic power, so you have to blow a feat on True Believer.
Armor of the Unending Hunt (21500 GP, Complete Warrior). +2 chainmail and complete immunity to fatigue and exhaustion.
Here's an older post that goes a little more in-depth.Last edited by Darrin; 2015-03-24 at 10:16 AM.

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
I already have true believer, so thats not a thing, but its to another god that I do not worship so i cant use those boots - at least without a lot of UMD maybe?
I cant use any armor as I need to be unarmed to get wis/cha to ac
x/a day items would limit me too much, but someone said something about an unlimited wand of lesser restoration. How much would an unlimited wand of lesser resto run me?

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
Ohh, good insight, I use wands every now and then depending on what I am playing, but ive never attempted to make one before.
I am both arcane and divine, as well as a Spellscale with dragon blooded feats and true believer, so if its possible to make that, then I have a dam good chance of finding it :)
what would the cost be you think?

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
Yes, I meant eternal wand. Sorry. MIC. p. 159 for pricing.
Price would depend on whether you can get it as a 1st level Paladin wand or a 2 level Cleric/Druid wand.
But again, it only applies to Arcane spells (sorry, forgot that). Still 750 gp for a regular wand, with a 1 level (paladin) spell, that has 50 charges isn't a huge price.Last edited by Hiro Quester; 2015-03-24 at 02:58 PM.

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
If it's a paladin making the wand, then it'd be 1500 GP, since a paladin's minimum caster level to cast spells is 2. What you really want is a wand made by an archivist, who learned the spell from a paladin.
Time travels in divers paces with divers persons.

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
If you plan on using the Spelldancer's ability quite a lot, then I'd suggest a wand of Sheltered Vitality (Spell Compendium p. 188) which covers both the Con damage and the fatigue for a minute/CL per cast. This is considerably less cost-effective over time than one or two of the aforementioned Eternal Wands of Lesser Restoration, but it means you can really go at it with the Spelldancing; I once played a theurge who used spelldancing and Sheltered Vitality to turn nearly every spell slot they had into a Persisted buff.

Well if you are going the persistent spell buff route i find sheltered vitality (Sp 188) to be very good.

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
With bard you prob could UMD a wand of sheltered vitality. Umd 20 to use item for another class. Doesn't take a charge if you fail.

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
This may be a good bet
So so far I have to decide between a wand that removes fatigue (700gold or so for 50 charges, not too bad) one level in the Binder class, or buy a wand of sheltered vitality (more costly im sure, but immune for far more time then I need to do my dancing)
I think this will do
Thanks everyone!

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
NO, what you really want to get it for cheap is to have an archivist make it using Sanctum Spell while outside their sanctum (-1 spell level), who had the trait that reduces their CL for it (-1 CL). Cheesy, but if the DM allows Persistent+spelldancer abuse, it's relatively small potatoes.

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
You don't need to be immune to fatigue to be a Spelldancer. The only limitation of the Spelldancer PrC is that you can't spelldance if you're exhausted. Therefore get Sandals of the Vagabond (CC) for 4000 gp, which make you immune to exhaustion.
Similarly, instead of making yourself immune to CON damage, an alternative tactic is to be able to easily heal or prevent the 2 CON damage that spelldancing gives you when you inevitably start failing the Fort saves. Cast Body Ward (CC) to absorb a number of levels of CON damage, and as a 2nd level spell it can be put in items cheaply.
The build Edith the E6 Persistomancer uses the above two techniques to be able to Spelldance a bunch of spells per day in a low level character.

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
You should note that only being exhausted actually prevents you from spelldancing. You don't necessarily need to be immune to fatigue if you can just be immune to exhaustion and then cure the fatigue whenever you finish your buff routine for the day.
For that there's sandals of the vagabond, which makes you immune to exhaustion and anything that would make you exhausted makes you fatigued instead (and a +2 luck bonus to initiative too ) 4,000gp.Last edited by DarkSonic1337; 2015-03-25 at 12:48 AM.

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
The renewal domain grants lesser restoration as a second level spell. Any arcane caster can start worshiping a deity that offers it and matches their alignment, then they could take the arcane disciple feat to get access to the spell. They could then make eternal wands of lesser restoration. So this is technically possible, but you're unlikely to find one for sale unless your DM is feeling generous, you'd have to make one yourself. Edit: this means the planar touchstone feat would also work for accessing the spell as an arcane caster, without the need for any particular deity or alignment.

Re: Need ways to be immune to con damage and fatigue
Sandals of the Vagabond make you immune to exhaustion.
Armor of the Endless Hunt makes you immune to Fatigue and Exhaustion.
Sheltered Vitality protects from Fatigue, Exhaustion, and ability score loss for minutes/level as a 4th level spell and is persistable. (Cleric spell, accessible through Dragon Sovereigns if you are a true dragon)
Veil of Undeath gives you undead immunities for 10 minutes/level as an 8th level spell and is persistable.
