Hello there, a long time stalker and reader of this forum. Finally decided today to make an account.

People call me B-E-T-A, or BobTheArchmage or sometimes Thor and othertimes T.K.
I am an 20-something nerdy neckbeard who enjoys to play video games, read books, write stories and play Role-playing games. Or otherwise you'll find me doing some sort of other nerdy activity such as playing wargames or programming some ****.

So why did I finally decide to make an account today? Well, it is quite simple really. Recently(as in for the past 1 and 1/2 - 2 years) I've found myself in the position of being the DM for my new roleplaying group. And as such I've often have to turn to the Giantitp(amongst other sites) for tips and tricks when it comes to running a game, but never in such a way that I've felt the need to join the forums myself. However, very recently(as in, the past 2 months or so) I've tried my hand at somethign else new: Homebrewing. Mostly PC races for 5th ED D&D, but also some feats, items and monsters as well. And while for awhile I felt comfortable with my creations, I've in recent days begun to second-guess the balance of my creations, and so I've decided to turn to the giant for help. So you can look forward to me posting some of my creations in the homebrew section of this forum. And I'll be looking forward to constructive criticism and feedback from you all

It seems like these days I'm always learning a new system, and if a game sounds even remotely interesting I'll learn an entire system for it. I started with 5e, moved to NWoD P:TH, PTU, and now I'm picking up MnM 2e! I play to get into DMing sometime, and I hope to have a game going by mid-Deecember!

I'm new to this site and have just joined today, my little brother told me about this place, I only knew about the great comic!

My bro and I have just gotten our hands on D&D 5th edition, and its great!

It goes back to the roots of story-telling over the battlegaming crap I couldnt stand (4th edition yuk) Roleplaying is near impossible when everyone is focused on floorplans and miniatures.

I have participated in Minds Eye Theatre and have played a number of various games including: D&D (every edition except 4th), Shadowrun, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, Black Crusade, Only War, Dark Heresy, GURPS, Hol, Werewolf the Apocalypse, Vampire the Masquerade, Mage the Ascension, Pathfinder, and several games I invented myself, this list is not complete, its just off the top of my head. But D&D has always been my favorite and is the game I have played the most.

I'm looking forwards to engaging with this wonderful community.
