Reporting in: I've not received any notifier about pantheon founding either.

Re: Civ5 GMR 12: Imperialism, ho!
Is there somewhere we could ask about this? If the hotseat-scenario-function is a special GMR thing then the GMR people might be able to answer questions about multiplayer-specific scenario bugs.

Re: Civ5 GMR 12: Imperialism, ho!
I'll see if I can get anything from the GMR help people. I'll put the game on pause for now while we try to sort this out.

Re: Civ5 GMR 12: Imperialism, ho!
Haven't heard anything back from GMR yet. I'm wondering if part of the "no pantheon" problem comes from the game starting with a European. Anyone want to try an experiment?

I'm always up for SCIENCE!
I take it you want to try starting a game as a Native? I'll trade you the Aztecs, or I can try hosting.Spoiler

Re: Civ5 GMR 12: Imperialism, ho!
OK, looks like science isn't quite necessary, but some risk is. GMR got back to me, apparently this is a known issue with CotNW. The only workaround they know of is to play a couple turns of single player to let the pantheons get made and then upload the save to start the game on GMR.
So, the people who aren't the host will have to trust the AI makes some decent choices policy/pantheon-wise in the first 2 turns and go forward from there.
Are people still in if that's the workaround? Also, for the Americans, do you want to keep your original start location roll or should I make a new game?So Much for the Glory of Rome, a Crusader Kings 2 Let's Play

Re: Civ5 GMR 12: Imperialism, ho!
I have no confidence in the AI's choices, but if we're all at the mercy of the AI I'll roll with it I suppose.
I could keep my current start or restart, either way. My first location is quite nice but the rest of my area is pretty barren so I wouldn't mind if the others wanted a redo.

I don't mind letting the AI choose an initial policy for me; a free settler & pikeman is enough recompense.

Re: Civ5 GMR 12: Imperialism, ho!
We shall trust in the will of Quetzalcoatl, although hopefully not actually get the Quetzalcoatl pantheon. Let's roll the dice with the AI.
Also a different starting position would be great.Spoiler

I welcome the wrath of the Random Number Deities. I'm cool with rerolling a start position: it only seems fair.

Still in, I figure the AI can't mess up too badly in 2 turns. I have no strong feelings on rerolling start locations.

Re: Civ5 GMR 12: Imperialism, ho!
I wouldn't mind a new start. I was on a narrow, barren stretch of land, with nothing visibly worthwhile to the south, and a range of hills 2-3 tiles thick that completely choked off my northern border. :P

Re: Civ5 GMR 12: Imperialism, ho!
Okay, I'll set up a new game tonight, run enough turns to get the pantheons going and send out the invites.

Did anything change? I just played my turn and have the same start position, and it looks like my ship is in the same place I had it before.
