ok....Tavros is now godlike....but with an allergy to himself. wow, what an idiotic jerk you are Vriska. you gave him the godlike power to destroy you utterly, and a petty reason to destroy you for all in one move. smooooooth. but since prototypings can only happen twice....this means...with Jasprose creeping up on Nepeta...

Jasprosetasprite^4 is up next....and I think Nepeta's introverted nature might actually calm her down...

It's implied by the yesterday's update that he's not actually allergic to cats, after all if he was he wouldn't be affected by the placebo and Nepeta only dresses like a cat, she's not actually one herself.


And even then if he was so concerned about his allergies he wouldn't have even touched the cat in the first place, and if he was really allergic I'm pretty sure that kind of thing would have made him self-destruct like we saw the other dual-sprites doing pre-retcon.

BTW, how does Vriska expect that everyone will keep Jade and GcaTavroSprite from awakening. Is it just that her spell won't be broken unless someone tries to awaken them, so it's merely necessary to hide them somewhere nobody who want to awaken them would find them?

Good points, but he started sneezing before he seemed to be aware JaspRoseSprite^2 was nearby, as if it were a real allergy. I guess it's possible he saw her coming in the distance, but it didn't seem that way.

She held her own pretty solidly against Bec Noir, and Tavros doesn't have the benefit of three other prototypings or general competence that Jack does. I mean. come on, I don't think her plan for this battle is flawless, far from it. even if this Vriska has had char development, she is still Vriska. pride is her No 1. flaw. and pride goeth before the fall. we saw the first two times a Serket plan was enacted and both times caused everything to go horribly wrong. things will just go horribly wrong in right way this time, because paradox space says so.

Beyond any of that, I think it says a lot that Vriska just mind-controlled Tavros unconscious from the outer ring. If Tavros doesn't have a way to defend himself against that, any Gcat powers aren't going to do him much good, I wouldn't think. Even if Vriska didn't mind-control him, I think he would have about as much chance of blowing himself up as harming Vriska.

He may have GCat powers, but can he control them and use them effectively? I doubt it.

ADDED: Actually, I can't even see Tavros standing up to Vriska now. Unless his personality changes, Vriska merely needs to tell him that she did what she did for his own good and he'll accept it. (Same old same old.) If Gcat changes Tavros's personality so that he becomes more cunning, then maybe that might change things, but something like that would need to happen. Granted, we didn't get to see much of GCaTavroSprite, but the little we saw of him didn't look promising.

You know, this really is just a big show of Vriska having literally no faith in Tavros. I mean, he should still have his animal empathy powers right? So if she wanted GCat out of the picture, he literally could've kept it maintained mentally. Also, that was probably also kinda cruel to Nepeta, who has always wanted to be a cat, and has now missed her chance (granted, she didn't know Nepetasprite existed but still). Also, c'mon, being a cat totally clashes with his theme.

Also also, any bets on Nepeta totally rebuking Jasprose's advances?

Unfortunately, I don't think it was any less of a show of Tavros having no faith in himself and showing that he didn't deserve anyone else having faith in him. John told Tarvos that the instruction was to "apprehend" GCat, but didn't say how to do it. Tavros didn't even try to use his powers. He should have known better than to grab anything, yet he went ahead and tried to grab GCat anyway. Since Tavros acted as thoughtlessly as Vriska expected him to, it's just going to reinforce her extremely low opinion of him. Oh, well...

I wouldn't be surprised. NepetaSprite seemed to be attracted to Tavrosprite even before he prototyped with GCat. She was definitely leading the way to him when he went over to John. Now she'll be even more attracted. That might mess up Vriska's mind control.
