Battle Royale (Battle #1 has begun!)

I have a crazy idea!

The rules:
1) Every player starts with 30HP
2) Everyone will roll a d20 for initiave at the start of each round!
3) Every player will have a normal attack that deals 1d20 damage (Yep, more luck than skill is needed!)
4) There are 6 classes (if you have suggestions for others I will be willing to hear them!).
5) The classes each have their own special ability, which will be listed below. The ablities can only be used everthing 3 rounds! (So if you use it in round #1 you can't use it until round #4. The Monk's ablitiy is an exception and can only be used every 5 rounds.
6) The classes will be distributed around players randomly and as evenly possible. If you would like a particular class then please say so in a pm or in this thread. If everyone wants a particular class then I am sorry but some of you will be disappointed.
7) You choose your action each round, whether you're just gonna attack or use your special ability, please send these actions in PM's.
8)Have fun!
9) If you don't act during a round, the inactivity demon will come in and deal 1d5 damage to you
10) You will have 2 days to pm your actions, choose them wisely!

Here are the classes and special abilities and what they do.

All Classes: (normal ability) Attack, 1d20 damage to any target.

Swordsman/woman: Swordsmanship: Do 1d20+6 damage to any target
Mage: Barrier: 1d6 damage to anyone who attacks the casting mage. Their attack is still executed but halved
Rogue: Hide: Can't be attacked until the next round.
Archer: Rapid Shot: Deals 1d12 damge to two targets.
Monk: Pray: Damage done to the praying monk is halved, damage dealt by the praying monk is also halved (rounded down). This lasts for 3 rounds.
Cleric: Heal: 1d6 hp is granted to target (can't be cast on self)

Yes, except I'll roll al the damage and stuff, to avoid controversy (sp?) and confusion. But other than that yes.

No you will not. Rouge is make up, and there is no class that is make up.

That's right.

No you will not. Rouge is make up, and there is no class that is make up.

It lasts until the end of the round it is cast.

Here is something to avoid confusion,

Before the round, I will post the initiave rolls and then give you a deadline to pm an action.

Here's an example

The round could go like this:

Initiative 13
Swordsman A uses swordsman ship on Mage B, dealing [roll0] damage.

Initiative 8
Archer C uses Rapid Shot on Mage B and Swordsman A dealing [roll1] damage to Mage B and [roll2] damage to Swordsman A

Initiative 4
Mage C attacks Archer C for [roll3] damage.

I kinda agree, I will change it. Swordsmanship is going to be changed to 1d20+6 and Rapid Shot is going to be reduced to 1d12.

Anyway, in the example round, (before tweaking abilities)
Swordsman A would have 21HP left
Mage B would have 9HP left
Archer C would have 14HP left

Maybe a small blood cost would even things? I dunno...

Yes, the monk can still attack in the next 2 rounds when his ability is activated, but I don't see how this makes either class better than each other as they are very different abilities.

I'm not sure why we can't post out actions or do our own rolls. With the forums dice roller it's not like we can fudge rolls.

Yes you can. Just delete and repost your roll until you get max. Plus the forum has a tendency to deal either max or minimum roll of a dice.

I can either do definite 1d20 to someone, or I can reactively do 1d6 to anyone who attacks me whilst taking each of their 1d20s of damage - that seems like a losing deal to me; why would i ever use the power?

You're right, fixing that now, mage only takes half damge from the attack when barriered.
