That could mean bad or really bad things for the future, depending on the version of Spike that was the inspiration. Maybe Caesar will end up on the same side as Parson at some point. The Signamancy would fit.

I think it's been made pretty clear that Caesar isn't down with all this royalist boop. On the other hand, I can't see him being eager to sign up for Toolism, either.

Well this finally bring things to a head. Caesar and Don are going to clash, because now the alliance with GK isn't favorable, it's absolutely necessary for their survival. Hopefully Don gets kicked out soon.

I suspect that this development will lead to Faq's involvement in TV's problems as an official ally. Caesar demands that Don call in some of his markers on Jillian, Jillian concedes, deciding that it probably wouldn't hurt to give Prince Albert a little combat experience? Vinnie accompanies him as a chaperone, maybe? Also, Carpool has no real way of knowing about TV's pocket ally, and this way TV's resources aren't unduly stretched by responding to the assault. According to the Summer Updates, Aqua Velva is max 2 turns from Faq by vampire-flight. Gwiffons might be faster.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Jill was called to help.

The way I see it this plays out:
    A) TV calls his allies for aid - Jetstone refuses, FAQ obliges but it ends poorly somehow
    B) TV finds out about GK support and GK is called to aid - very unlikely.
    C) TV calls allies, no one answers

I might see A/C happening. B would happen if they knew Parson was The Perfect warlord and their Thinkamancers trusted each other to share sides details (troops, production possibilities, spells available). And that would be a HUGE leap across the abyss for TV.

My bet - they call Jillian, Jillian has problem with sorting Princess Albert to join the fight (would she go in to help TV only for Albert to succeed her?), Jetstone can't and they lose Aqua Velva. Caesar, starts rethinking his alliance options.

I can't see either side going for that, but Parson wanted a truce. That seems much more likely.

My guess - Caesar secretly calls GK to help destroy Carpool by attacking THEIR ports, while he continues the land assault. In exchange, he'll ally with GK when he's king.

    ...

Not perfect, but I could see it working.

I also think that "Caeser" is a sort of signmancy... the real life Caeser was a general who was really successful in his conquest in Gaul that he marched back into Rome as Tyrant for life... and in the end gets stabbed by all the senators somewhere in the middle of march...
His name also invokes Cesare Borgia...which is interesting, because he's a guy famous amongst his contemporaries for martial prowess, intelligence, and incredible charisma...but is also the guy remembered to history for being the utterly ruthless and ambitious "prince" that Machiavelli models his treatise "The Prince" after. He went large and failed spectacularly--tried to control Italy and form a stable dynasty kingdom, nearly secured himself, then finally ended up wretched and dead at the hands of his worst enemy (della Rovere, who became Pope Julius 2).

With so many subplots to follow, keeping the TV plot line in this slow burn makes it look like it's standing still compared to the rest of the world. At this rate, Caesar and Don will be able to violently clash over their ideals a few dozen turns after Parson and Maggie's great grandchildren are born.

The constant plot-jumping is getting really fatiguing. The updates are sparse enough that the plot progression already feel slow - jumping from perspective to perspective and telling, what... Faq, Ansom, Parson, TV, Stanley... at least 5 separate plotlines simultaneously makes the whole thing seem disjointed. I think it might be more palatable if each plotline was given more than 2 consecutive pages before being moved along.

Great. A update that doesn't tell us anything new. Can't the story stay on one track for a while? There are four or five subplots right now and constantly switching between them makes it feel as if the comic is standing still.

I challenge that notion. Right now, there are following plots:

    1) TV conflict with Carpool
    2) TV conflict of Don/Caesar
    3) Parson learning about Janis, Carnymancers/Hippiemancers
    4) Jed and Stanley
    5) Jillian and Princess Albert
    6) Trammenis and Ansom meeting
    7) Charlie and his lackeys (thinkamancer/carnymancer)
    8) Thinkamancers and Bunny
    9) Lilith
    10) Stanley and Juggalos

To be fair, not all of these are really plot lines. Some of this is world building, minor loose ends, and a bit of natter.

Charlie's modern arms aren't a plot line, they're just a revelation about Charlie's character that will affect a later storyline.

The Dollamancer thing was in a single update, and it might just function as a shout out. It might have some significance later, but's it's not a plot line as it stands.

Dove could never appear again and it wouldn't really change anything.

The playground is just world building.

Haggar and Dickie are, at best, small elements within the plot line of Gobwin's Knob diplomatic initiative.

You could also probably combine the Carpool conflict with Caesar and Don. Indeed, I'm thinking the former is going to mostly simply feed into the latter until something breaks. Or Jillian secures their borders. Which, from a meta perspective, might be the most irritating completely justified action by a character in this story ever.

Nah if this was G.R.R.M. the Decrypted would stick around but barely ever feature with only promises that they will do something cool soon. Same with the Dwagons.

Apropos of nothing, why is Janis so gigantic?

She's Hobwin sized at least now. Does Flower Power include size changing? Like when she cast Time Out?

Could it be some new type of signamancy?

Was there something in the soup?

    Is it...dare I say...an art error?
