    Tetlacochininervianl - Wellspring, Azteca

The atmosphere in the Wellspring grew chilly. While Lion, Hare, and Bat firmly believed that Crocodile needed to be punished for his egregious crimes, they couldn't seem to figure out how to do that without adopting a code of conduct for the Council that the rest of them would never accept. Especially since each of the three of them were pretty sure that the other two wouldn't really like their codes they'd develop. Meanwhile, Coyote, Bear, and Falcon seemed to be riling themselves up over this issue, the three of them all being free spirits who, while not liking Crocodile's actions and wishing to curtail such things in the future, were not willing to give up an inch of their own liberties to do so. Whale, Newt, and Spider seemed to have abstracted Crocodile's crimes into something unpleasant but not something worthy of acting on as a whole so long as he wasn't harming their own stuff. Meanwhile, Viper seems to have sided with Crocodile on this issue, arguing for him to be held as if not innocent then at least not criminal. Salawa stayed silent on the matter.

The bickering back and forth continued for two days and nights, a near-unanimous consensus that they don't want to encourage such behavior but a deadlock on what to actually do on such a matter. Lion's alliance hammered out a rough code of conduct they wished to present that gave vague guidelines on how Tetlacochininervianl was to act towards mortals. This proposal was opposed vehemently by Coyote's clique who basically wished to tell Crocodile, "no more genocide, okay" and leave it at that. Whale's party were not overly enthused with either option and didn't really back either plan. Viper and Crocodile were doing their best to run out the Council's time clock for voting on this matter. They felt confident that a consensus couldn't be reached in time and with their proposal of "don't do anything to him" to split the votes three ways, no majority decision could be reached and thus they'd win by default.

With this deadline looming an hour away, Salawa broke its period of silence to say, "In the light of how epically we have all failed to agree on anything, I propose that we table this issue for later. We're fast running out of time on this issue and we'll soon be unable to do anything at all. I propose a compromise none of you will like but all of us can live with."

Surprised to hear the strange one speak so clearly, all fell silent in their debates and listened. "I say we banish Crocodile from the Burning Lands, forbidding him to ever go back to the lands he so defiled. We thus protect his victims from any repeat abuses while simultaneously not impugning upon his rights to free agency. Should he go on another rampage like this in the future at a different location, we will have a new window within which to come to a better solution. One that we can all be thinking about ahead of time. This knowledge should be a deterrent for him from running so recklessly again. What say you?"

True to his words, every member of the Council had a sour disposition towards this but all were giving this measure serious thought. None of them who wished to prevent this from happening again thought this was enough of a punishment, but everyone saw the wisdom in getting a fast result now. If this issue came up again, they'd have more time and more preparation before going into this while if it did not then this measure would prove to have been sufficient.

"All in favor of banning Crocodile from the Burning Lands and therefore ending this issue for now?" Salawa called out.

"Aye" came the chorus from Bat, Bear, Spider, Salawa, Viper, Newt, Whale, Hare, and Falcon. None of them liked this, but they all felt it the best they were going to get. Viper felt that this punishment was mild enough that it set the proper precedent for future events should his plans ever come to fruition.

Unsurprised by those who did not support it, Salawa said, "And all opposed?"

"Nay." said Crocodile, Lion, and Coyote flatly. Crocodile, of course, had wanted to get off without penalty whatsoever. Lion and Coyote, meanwhile both felt that this solution was anemic and unrelated to the root issue at hand that they refused to support it. There was a growing rift between those two that had been made visible that day. This proposal would prove to be the last time that they voted the same way on any proposal. From that point on, one of them voting one way would cause the other to vote the other out of spite.

This issue settled for now, Newt stepped forward. "You all know how this Wellspring, the site of our birth, is a great and mysterious source of power? I have delved deeply into its secrets and have discovered that there is another of our number buried deeply within the Wellspring. At the very heart of our nexus of power lies one who is trapped by arcane forces beyond even my comprehension. We have a sibling steeped in the power of our might trapped. It will take all of our combined efforts to free them, but surely this is worth the risk? What do you say?" The thought of unearthing this mystery filled Newt with fervor. The rest of the Council stood intrigued by the thought, though concern for meddling in powers they don't understand filled their minds.

"What if there is a good reason why this one was stilled at birth while the rest of us were freed? It may be best that we leave things as they be." Lion said. Though the mystery intrigued him, he did not see the benefits involved as outweighing the risks.

"You just fear that this new sibling might be so powerful that it displaces you as our leader. We are stronger together than we are apart and I refuse to let your cowardice hold us back." Coyote accused him.

"While unnecessarily personal, I agree that some risks must be taken if we are to find out what all we could become." Falcon added, seeing this as a chance for a grand new adventure.

In light of how long the debate of Crocodile's actions went, the Council decided to err on the side of swiftness. A vote was immediately cast. All but Lion and Crocodile supported trying to rescue the lost spirit. Lion opposed it because he feared meddling in something they did not understand while Crocodile was just being petty about having been held accountable for his actions, however lightly.

Viper and Coyote described the nature of the difficulty over goblins' place in the material world, though ultimately it was decided that things there resolved themselves enough on their own that Tetlacochininervianl did not need to interfere as a whole, though Coyote and Viper were encouraged to aid the goblins if it was decided such was necessary.

The rest reported on their experiences since the last meeting and thus this session of the Unseen Council reached an end. However, none departed yet as they still had the task of liberating their slumbering sibling before them.

Following Newt's lead, the Twelve assumed spirit form and entered the depths of the Wellspring where their enigmatic sibling lay cocooned in mysterious energies. At Newt's direction, they each placed their wills towards piercing the layers of power surrounding the sleeping one.

The outer layers peeled back easily from their combined effort, while the next few layers were pierced with some effort. The innermost layers, however, proved to be beyond the Twelve's ability to overcome on their own. Calling out to all the other lesser spirits that made up the Council, they pierced through the next layer and the one after that as the other Council members added their support. With only the very innermost shell remaining, Louse, the very last part of Tetlacochininervianl to lend its support, joined the effort and there was a sudden soundless roll of thunder all across Azteca.

The trapped spirit within was freed and shot out from the depths of the Wellspring in an instant as the shells of energy collapsed in on themselves now that their prisoner was gone. The Wellspring gave off a burst of energy seen all over Azteca and beyond as the land flashed a brilliant blue for a moment before regaining its normal hues.

Tetlacochininervianl quickly followed their newest member back to the surface of the land where they witnessed the fruit of their efforts. It was a being unlike any of the other spirits of the Unseen Council. It stood on two legs like an ape. These legs ended in split hooves. it had the posture of a bear when it rears up on its hind legs. It had three arms, two on one side and one on the other. The two limbs on its right side were thin and agile, while the left limb was thicker than its legs and bound with muscle. It ended with three clawed digits where the smaller two arms had five soft fingers and an opposed digit. These were tipped with small, small, hard nails. Its face featured the maw of a hound with the eyes of an eagle. Its nose was a large pink fleshy thing much like that of a mole. Toad-like tympanic membranes flanked the sides of its head where ears would be found on mammals. The thick, black matted fur which covered the creature nearly obscured the dull brown scales which covered the beasts limbs and back. Its abdomen was hairless mottled gray hide. Thick bony plates grew over the top of its skull from which a ring of small horns crowned its head. A double row of ridged plates grew out of its spine down its back and continued down to the small of its back. A pair of black membranous wings folded up tightly against either side of its back.

"I am Beast, embodiment of the power which flows through you all." The creature said in a dark, gravelly voice revealing a bright blue forked tongue. "I have slept in the Wellspring since our birth in an age past and have heard the endless chattering and argument that your "council sessions" have caused and will have none of it. Ours is a spirit of exploration and travel, not one of endless debate and politics. I will roam this world which is our home instead, seeking out places to discover and explore. While I care not for politics, know that I am indeed still your brother and will come to aid any of you who are in need."

Without giving any of them a chance to gather enough wits to respond, Beast snapped open his great black wings and flew off in a thunder of wind and power.

"Well, that was unexpected." said Salawa with a grin. "Who'd have ever thought that our biggest brother would happen to be the youngest. Anyone else kinda surprised that he didn't have a tail or was that just me?"

No one bothered to respond as they each went their separate ways. Their minds were all too filled with the thought of what had all transpired there today to say anything more.

    The Steel King, Vrakmu

Even slave labor took time. Slowly, the holes in the walls were patched up, the whole place reinforced. Buildings were shaped, demolished and rebuilt as needed. At the center of the city, a huge area was cleared and rebuilt up. Outer walls of pure marble, glistening white. Inner building walls of the black of obsidian. Within that was built the awe-inspiring and intimidating Hall of the Steel King. There, he sat in judgement and tyranny of the Drell Empire.

It was from the ramparts of that palace that the daily scriptures was read; the destiny that stretched out before the Empire as a whole, and the role of the Imperials within it. The King was god, the Voidborn his hands, and the Imperials those that would rule for that Empire, wherever it went. While in the end, all would bow before the Empire, its time was not full yet. A small class of freed-men who served at the whim of the Empire would emerge. Above that would be the human ranks of the Imperials. Soon enough, those ranks would be rife with infighting, vying for position in the eyes of the King. A more treacherous pond of deceit and powergrubbing would be hard to find. This was Drell.

Crocodile - On the Search for a Rampage

Crocodile spent a good long while sulking in Thloop. However mild his punishment was, he petulantly refused to believe he deserved any punishment for eating those foods. After all, everything has to eat. It's not his fault those foods were so tasty that he kept on eating. If they didn't want to be eaten, then why did they taste so good?

Still, his siblings hadn't told him that he couldn't eat, just that he couldn't eat in the Burning Lands.

Deciding to spitefully show them what happens when you try to muzzle a crocodile, Crocodile set forth for another mass of land to eat some foods from that place. Upon making landfall, he set about eating the first moving foods in sight.

With repairs to the main city complete, it was only a matter of time. West, the King said. West, to victory. Scepter burning with blood in one hand and a sword raging with wrath in the other, he lead the way. The Imperial Way, established on the march to call forth the King, still stood, and its magic ran deep within the land.

Before they departed though, the book of Destiny was brought forth, and more secret revealed to those who were worthy of such power. For they were not destined and fit to rule just this universe and its inhabitants… So much more than that was out there. Realms that dwarfed and writhed away from the imagination. But the creatures from such places would obey, the same as the inhabitants of this universe would; it was a matter of bending them to your will. Some took up the call, reaching into the great beyond and pulling something back. These summoners would be another valuable addition to the armies as they marched out.

The Way took them west. Any who tried to impede their progress, or resist, fell before the sway of the Scepter. Long before they reached their next destination, the travelling army had amassed regiment of undead and slaves to do their bidding.
North they turned next, off the Way, into the depths of an enormous and terrible jungle. It was here that the masses of the Drell stopped. For the Imperials, it was a soiree in a foreign land, albeit a slightly uncomfortable one. For the slaves… it was a hellhole. Nor was it simply the slaves who had been brought from other lands that served there in the jungle. In a vicious twist, a voice reached out to the surrounding area, to those that made their home in that jungle. An urge filled them, drawing them towards the encampment, there to be entrapped and enslaved, put to work forging jungle into city. And another vast city it would be, stretching towards the heavens, another gem for the Drell Empire.

    The Playground

Beneath the waves, they had felt the tremblings, and seen the outpouring of power. The ancestors told them what all of it foretold, and of the struggles yet to come. Long ago, though, their Mother knew of what was to come even now, and spoke to them. There was a way prepared, long ago. The time of great powers, of the great magics, was passing by. Brutality and savagery, short lives and short flames, would come to rule in the soon days.

Indeed, the short-lived mortals were flourishing upon the Playground. There were those, however, who had sold themselves. Their allegiances were no longer to their fellow beings, and they served the dark powers; perhaps one of the darkest of all. To them, the tune of life was a different thing altogether. As the Phantarch sang, the found themselves in… unfortunate circumstances. Whether it was the backfiring of magics, the accidents of life, or the conspiracy of the elements against them, things just did not seem to go right.

    The Playground

The Grel and both their mechanical and draconic creatures felt a sudden beackoning call. They were called to the land beyond, to the psionic wood forests and the rust deserts. The Grel population little by little dwindled away, diminishing, disappearing from the world. While some remained, their ties with other populations greatly intertwinned, they would discover that they would become more and more human as time went by.

The forest they left behind would be called to be haunted, for the grel's souls still resided within some trees, and they were portentuously psionical, but without gardeners to care for them the forest were covetuous creatures enemies to anyone who would take wood. Explorers who ventured them, with luck or guile, would only find safe areas in circular clearings warded with runed obsidian stones. But while the forest kept aback from the circles other dangers lurked there, for they were gateways and left those within exposed to those beyond.

Grel technology would become excidingly rare over the ages, so futuristic as to be intrinsically indistinguishable from magic. The biggest grel technological repository, the omen tower, had a gravitas of its own and as the lighthouse it was it would from time to time call visitors. Like a dark neddle it was embedded into the ley lines and lost within the sea, only a black light flickering it's position. Many powerful spellcasters would come to the tower over the years to come, finding there a repository for powers beyond their understanding. Nonetheless the tower would become a magnificient source of golems, much more powerful and sapient than those created anywhere else even when the techniques were replicated.

The moon, the final frontier, along with the many grel bases orbiting outside the world would be empty. There was only a humanoid figure. A dying son standing in front of the corpse of a father. While the material city rested in silent emptiness, a promise of rediscovery, the beyond was keen with activity. The dreams that connected to the city were taken, relocated, transplanted along with the trees that sustained them. The city of wonders was now in another world, shimmering between forests and deserts. With time when the long lost human descendant of the grel remembered the dream it would become a hub of interplanar trade, and the craftmanship of the magical artifacts within something beyond mortal understanding.

    The Plane of Fire

Your silence is starting to irk me, Elder. The daemon almost spoke aloud. But bit his tongue at the last moment. He raised his hands and drew some of the essence of the plane mixed with what he had already taken from the genasi, forming an orb, and then extended his hands to the portals connecting to the other elements and did the same. Soon four pure elemental essences orbited him. He clawed and cut the veil, reaching for the cold and absent void, and pulled some more. Infusing the spheres with the hungry void energy. The fire sphere started to munch on the plane, fire becoming less fiery around the orb. He tossed the balls to their corresponding planes, the ravenous things gorging on their essence.

    Grenzo - Void
With a cackle that was heard throughout the Void, Grenzo channeled all of His pent up power. Already His father stirred, and now he would fully live. Those rusted and worthless chains that bound him in place began to melt with an eerily green glow before melting away. The radioactive waste further empowered His father as a great shudder could be felt throughout Zalsaram. Freed to do as he pleased, the undead stingray was further empowered by his always loyal Son.
Yet The Cackling Flame wouldn't stick around to see the glorious reaction. His children were safely tucked away in their new home, His dead singing the course of the damned in His afterlife. After locking the two planes from intruders, and giving the goblins trapped inside the means to repopulate Zalsaram when he's done rampaging, He let out one last cackle and a brilliant flash of green, red, orange, and yellow across the Void. Then He was silent.

    Lustria - Azteca
Lustra spent Her time contemplating the need to prepare to capture future crminals in their newfound prison. After a moment She decided that the only proper response would be to provide a mount suitable for Herself the same divine armament that She Herself possess. Finding the prime Battletitan She carefully molded the divinely infused hide of a T-Rex to cover it's form. Then She carefully replaced it's teeth with similarly infused shards of obsidian so that mount and lance could successfully penetrate any foe that stood against Law.

    Hlo - Furthest Reaches
Hlo grew weary of living in another's plane, yet was fond of how one could reach it. Settling on expanding such an idea, It channeled a portion of It's power into the plane. Stars began to form, stars that slowly began to form into actual beings and lords of madness. These bringers of the apocolypse would serve as It's guardians for the time being. To help insure that only the foolish would make it to be tested, That Which Lights The Way only allowed certain times to be made available for entrance into It's new home. Times that could be tracked using It's celestial objects.
Satisfied with It's progress, It channeled further power into the scattered remains of sanity within such a realm. Floating in the sea of chaos was the ultimate balancing factor. Lm'Lm served as layers of protection from those that would harm Hlo. The outermost and thickest was in direct competition with the chaotic nature of where it existed, the layer beyond that fought whatever evil made it. Thinner yet were the layers of chaos and evil, on the off chance something of either alignment made it that far. In the center was Hlo, given form as It once was, in a tranquil sea of perfect neutrality. Here It could rest in peace.

    The Grack - Mytea

The Grack, having spent months devouring dragonborn, finally hurled forth that which it held within its hollow depth. Massive bone-dragons flew forth from The Grack, and flew across the land, covering the world in their shadows. They descended frequently to destroy the living - tearing them apart for simple pleasure.

    Clora - The Void

Clora watched the world. As she did, she forced out the last shred of something else within her. A vampiric form, shrouded in frost and cold. The from would go on to become known as Fevorlil Frostsoul. As he woke, the void itself was effected by his frozen nature, and the void's temperature descended beyond all belief. He would also become known as the last thing that had held Clora's tortured mind together.

All that was left in her soul was a soul seeking balance at any and all costs. This soul, the central piece of Clora that had driven her from the start, and that had been imbued into her form so long ago by the necromantic, dark, magic of Neiag finally was able to take control. The only way for true balance to be reached, would be for there to be nothing at all. Entropy was the final solution.

Armor formed around her, made of a warping of time and space - designed to help her avoid harm. Following the armor, she made boots. Boots that would give whoever wore them untold speed, by warping time and space in a fashion not dissimilar to her armor.

She called her followers to a guild meeting. Beings from the past, the future, untold times yet to be understood - all who knew, and who could be, were present.

"Brothers, sisters - Explorers. Those who have yet to be born, and those who were born in time long passed. The world has just shuddered. I fear we all know what this means. Time has come upon us, and all of existence is under threat. We will have no place to explore, to see, and to enjoy if all is destroyed. The fight for everything we stand for begins this day. Victory is the only option."

    Kealoharen - The Void

Kealoharen watched the world suddenly move. Felt things grow cold all around. Only one likely result was coming. Kealoharen caused The land from the heart-shaped lake to the city of Kealoha to raise above the world, in a fashion not unlike the way that Neutral Ground had become a moon so long ago. The place rose far above. everything, and not a creature was harmed during its lifting.

Kealoharen then formed two portals on the newly floating land mass. One led from the heart of Kealoha to the heart of Eldarond, and the other from the bottom of Lake Kealo to Affilia. Next, Kealoharen double surrounded the floating sub-continent with two rose barriers, to protect it from the outside.

Having completed this task, Kealoharen warped to Affilia, and watched the world from within the plane.

    Cho'zak - The Summer Citadel

His god began rambling in his head - and yet somehow it all made sense. All must end for true balance to come. No more alliance, no more of being a vassal-state. The undead in The Frozen Citadel were going to war. They mobilized quickly, and very soon were at the temple which stood where the Crystalline Palance once had - and they were armed to the teeth.

    Vek'nul - Ajalhandriss

The whispers of Clora did not effect Vek'nul as badly as his Cleric brother, but he felt the call of his mother's madness all the same. He called for a messenger - if a fight was to come, he would assuredly need to contact Pernieth, and perhaps even Al'Zureed. However, his call was not answered by a messenger of mortals. His call was answered by Lum'ohs.

"Brother. You no longer believe, do you? You've lost faith. Balance is key. We end in nothingness. So too shall they. Let me show you." Lum'ohs' hand reached to Vek'nul's skull, and crushed it.

    The Swordsman - Eldarond

The core personality had finally alleviated herself of all the others. The Swordsman looked up at the void, the aurora in the sky which had persisted since soon after the plight of the vampires. The World shuddered. He raised his weaponry, and gathered his forces yet again. It was time to prepare for war.
