Marlena shakes her head.
"I'm not sue that's the best idea, but it's not exactly up to me."

He gestures for Civvy to come back and continue. If this is sensitive, she can communicate telepathically with him. An unknown problem takes priority.

His face turns slightly more sober.

It's just as well, I got back from the fight at VIGIL if you're interested to hear about what happened.

"That's actually what brings me here as well. We have a formerly very tall lady in the infimary, who was wanting to speak to you to warn you that the demons are probably going to be coming this way next. That was all I had, Grant can probably explain much better." Civvy says, standing. "See you guys later." With that, Civvy leaves again, her message passed along.

Ross frowns again, he really isn't a fan of Lucky as of right now.

Yeah, I think I'll take care of the work myself.

Lucky waves Ross off. "You're no fun, and Lucky's not in de mood to make threats dat he fully intends to carry out."

He turns to Marleena. "You! What do you do here?"

Thank you, Civiron. And I'll hear your report now, Grant. Unless you'd rather rest and take the time to collect your thoughts and organize what you remember. A written report submitted as soon as its ready is perfectly acceptable. The fox-eyed king smiles and carefully adjusts one of the ferrous poles in the middle of his bonfire. NarCelma... are you a commissioned officer or an NCO? Either way, you don't need to address me as "sir", not unless you're angling for a commission or warrant from me. There is a temple to Inari in the local mega-metropolis. They have a species of Vulpans there that may be more familiar to you than anything you'll find here. You are, of course, welcome here as long as you wish to stay--I don't want you to think I'm rushing you out! But if you were to take the submersible pods to the surface, then the Riftline to Inside, I could have a car waiting to take you the rest of the way. Hopefully they will have enough answers to put you more at ease.

The Marchioness can read a scene, at least, and starts walking out. I shall locate a place to stay, while I am existing. And I think I should obtain some of those coverings you two have to conceal half of your flesh. I shall find you later, servant.

Carrie slumps into a chair, sighing.
Know what? Whatever. I give up trying to make sense of the stuff I do any more. After a pause, she glances up at Agatha.
... I imagine all that stuff earlier could have come out better.

"Me? Um... I don't do anything here. I just joined. Should I be doing something? I could care for plants. Or... I'm sure I could do something.
She doesn't consider herself very good at much.

The Huntress pauses and looks back over her shoulder at the other woman in idle curiosity. What heritage would that be?

Blanche's eyes widen as she realizes her mistake.
... I'd prefer to keep that on a need-to-know-basis, but I'm related by blood to a few morally dubious or utterly evil people. They aren't here anymore, and they don't hold sway over me.
She explains somewhat furtively.
I don't wish to tell because I just want people to judge me for who I am, not who my blood comes from

Ross catches the unsure tone in Marlena's voice and opts for a mentioning the biodome/lab.

We have a biodome with a bunch of plants in it you could definitely help with.

Tobias' Glade

Grant frowns and his tone shifts into the same one he used to deliver post contact reports when he was younger.

When I arrived at VIGIL the situation was already grim. The lesser demons were being led by a fully fledged lord with some sort of enchantment that protected him from most kinds of damage. I moved into the courtyard and met up with Wenomir. The demons released some kind of gas agent that kept the other members from fighting. Because I was able to fight, I went back out to buy time for the members to evacuate and perform asset denial. I managed to kill the first demon lord and many of it's underlings after the second lord arrived with reinforcements. At that point KR called out for everyone to leave. With my role in the plan complete and the remainder of VIGIL dealt with I took my leave in order to come back here and prepare for a possible continuation of events here.

From what I could tell, it wasn't just a simple matter of demons breaking through the barrier between worlds to rampage, they were working for something. What they were there for remains unclear though. I've already set Ross to developing ways to prevent the base from being easily destroyed by the demons abilities that I was able to observe. That's just about it.

Linda waits for Grant to finish before answering Tobias' questions

Thank you. I have an ROTC commission from the Spinward Middle Colony Academy on Javrik 4, but there was a vacancy issue and so I couldn't start at Lieutennant. But I couldn't be assigned to just any random duty, so they moved me to Specialist... then the war started.

She has a glare that speaks of paperwork, red tape, and a great deal of frustration.

And I would just as soon stay, if you'll have me. I don't tend to get along with religious types.

Lucky grins. It's all plastic, he won't let himself feel, but he grins.

As they go down, he keeps talking. "Always hard to find plants in de wasteland, but the available ones are strong. Hard to grow, hard to put down once grown."

Ross opens up the door to the biodome and holy mother of nurseries! There are plants of every description in environments set aside for each, a small barrier members can pass through maintains the climate required for each of them to survive.

Collecting samples took ages. But hey, at least things turned out nicely.

It appears to be little Salvy, Grant's daughter whom is quite excited to see one of her Dad's friends. Spoiled rotten I tell you!

"Oh, hi there." Erin smiles, giving Salvy a little wave! "What's got you so excited, hm?"

"True dat. Manipulating nature at will is also fun, for when Lucky can't wait for plants to grow. Den he turns sand into water and waters de plants."

Lucky looks around at the biodome. "Impressive collection. You got plants Lucky's never seen before."

Marlena looks ridiculously excited by all this.
"I know of a garden even bigger than this one!"
She says before she runs off to look at everything.

What? No, of course... Soteira hesitates, taking a close look at Tirya. Well, I was going to say you should sit down and take it easy, but after being trapped like that... You'd rather move around and do stuff yourself, then? She picked up on the other woman's unease, but attributed the wrong reason to it.

"It's... Something like that, yeah." Tirya shrugs a bit, bustling over to the refrigerator and poking around inside, looking to see what's been made recently she might like. "Not really comfortable with having things done for me at the moment." Not surprising, given Bel was so prone to doing such. And the first bit of dream after she was taken, if Soteira is thinking of that. "...Did you want anything? I mean, it's pretty well stocked. Though I imagine you'd know that better than I do, really, sorry."

Ross is thoroughly amused by Marlena's excitement. He is also privately glad that he invested in making the biodome safe to frolic in. Always good to be prepared for such an occasion.

After hearing Lucky Ross glances sideways at him.

Yeah, most of the stuff I had to go find myself. I was able to get lucky and buy a few of the plants.

As Marlena runs through the biodome, life seems to flow into everything around her. The plants' colors become more vibrant, flowers bloom, growth speeds up. Life follows her.

Well! Civvy's around somewhere! She's off in a hallway, reading some sort of manga.
The hall is kinda dark, and she's just wearing a loose t-shirt and jeans. As well as pink fuzzy socks.

Civvy might be stumbled onto by a short, slender woman with pale blue hair. Perhaps even literally! That hasn't happened in a while, as I recall. Regardless, though, the girl in question is wearing a skirt the black-green of deep water that's frozen, which comes to about mid-thigh on her, white stockings with very light blue rippled through them, and a flowing silver blouse; it seems that she's got a theme going here for colors, which her eyes (matching her hair) and skin (closer to her stockings) continue.

"Oh! Nnnnneat!" Civvy says, in regards to the skirt. She's never seen a frozen skirt before! Then she's offered a hand up, and takes it. Civvy, being super skilled at life, uses the offered hand as the entire place to put her weight and what's a counterbalance or getting your feet under yourself?
After some amusing flailing, Civvy ends up on her feet! The second offered hand goes much better, since Civvy actually knows what to do with that one! She shakes Cirae's hand happily! "My name's Civvy! I also normally greet people at the door, but must have missed you coming down. I do apologize for that! Welcome to HALO!" Civvy finishes with a big old happy grin.
