They can buy 8% of Han? If they can buy them in one piece it could be enough to save him. Turning Han into a Cyborg could even be a improvement. But I guess they will do something stupid instead. Like freeing him before the auction starts.

Can you rezz someone in a regular game of D&D with 8% of the body? I know that wont help here, I was just wondering.

Raise Dead (5th level) needs a mostly intact body. Ressurrection (7th level) needs only the smallest fraction, even the dust left from Disintegration is enough. True Ressurrection (9th level) doesn't even need that. Of course, that's in 3rd edition. Most other editions have versions of Raise Dead and Ressurrection that work along similar lines though.

Heh ah, I thought it was something like that. I was just picturing them briefly considering this as a plan before the dm reminds them that there is no such spell line in this game. Closest you get is coming back as a force ghost.

Cloning would be viable with even a tiny DNA sample, but then they'd just end up with a polite moron.

So that explains the stormtroopers. They cloned a cross-eyed moron!

In almost unrelated news, they apparently re-released Spaceballs, so I'll get to see it on the big screen in a couple weeks.

    Mmmm, that new thread smell.

So... the people bidding are Han Solo's enemies... not Greedos? Um, Was the Original Han Solo the shape shifter or was it Greedo, Jim's character?

The original Han Solo was a shapeshifter, according to Jabba the Hutt.

Also, I think the first date at the top of the thread should probably read "June 25, 2015" - pretty sure that the current strip didn't come out three years ago.

So the only thing that would change is that Han would be more polite? That sounds like an improvement. Maybe someone should tell our heroes about it.

And now Leia starts to improvise. That can't end well. Chewie isn't happy that she makes him a gift for Jabba. And it seems that they have another ally inside the palace. I wonder what Landos plan was.

Oh, Jim the comic would be a lot less funny without you. The sad part is that I am not sure if this was in-character or not. In his case it can be hard to tell. The guards on the other hand are dangerouly smart. Dangerous for themself at least.

The question is does Jim know that? He tends to shut off his brain while gaming after all. That is what makes it so hard to tell if he talks in character or not. I agree that it is most likely out-of-character but its more fun to speculate aboute it.

If he can't even move his eyelids, it stands to reason he can't move his lips or larynx. At least, that's my line of thinking.

The poor DM, almost the whole group has seen the sock puttet thing. The best part is that Annie and Jim just watched the show. And made popcorn. And Sally visits the university now? I think that means there was another two year timeskip.

And of course Leia tries to free Han. Heroes are way to predictable... The discussion between Annie/Leia and Jim/Han (Greedo) (seriously is that in-character or not?) is both funny and informative. It explains why Han is temporary blinded. I mean sure he could be just that drunk but I thought he was frozen to fast for that.

She also made a few theatre references in episode 2, when Anakin and Padme were being carted out into the gladiator ring.

Yes, but Les Miserables is actually enjoyable to watch, unlike how most people play Hamlet (the character more so than the play).
