Special request: Start a new thread when the comic resumes with Episide 7.

Otherwise, I'll just have to contribute 6 pages of fluff comments in two months.

I'm pretty sure we can get at least that much arguing about whether or not Star Wars Rebels or Freemakers should be D&D canon.

    Freemakers definitely.
Even without changes that show feels like something the D&D group might have cooked up.

Oh my. Can you imagine if they tried to do Freemakers as a *serious* RPG session by a different group of people?

Narae started off as a really well-done villain/sith. If you pay attention, she never tells a single falsehood, and seriously tries to train ... what's his name.

Sheesh, the villain is more memorable than the kid.

That's true of a lot of cartoons. I think it took half a season of Last Airbender before I knew the whole group's names, but Zuko I remembered from his first appearance.

    And we get bonus comics.

In a alternate universe Qui-Gon became queen of Naboo.
Just in time for a feast.
Well, I guess there are less qualified persons for the job.
At least he is happy to be served to the people of Naboo.

I have to say it is amazing how absentminded Jim used to be while playing. Compared to the later campaigns I mean. Obviously he still has his moments.

The avoidance of flanderization is one of this comic's strong points.

Rebels could make a good canon addition.

We have links to Anakin's padawan with the long hair, as well as that non-reliable trader that you have to take your payment from ahead of time, and he expects you to do it. (aka Lando)

It gives both Jedi and Sith reasons to investigate Tatooine, and for Ben to go into deeper hiding.

I had the same thought. Especially one in cold blood.

Of course it's entirely possible they just wrote that to get people arguing.

Oh yes, of course that's totally the joke.

I mean, I don't like it, because it always leads to arguments "But no, me slaughtering them all is totally good, because..." or any other kind of justification. It always feels forced and rarely adds anything to the game

Frankly, given how Han/Gueedo was acting, I was convinced that he WAS a mole. I was very surprised to find that he was a serious pro-rebellion person all along.

    The difficulty of iambic verse
Is this: to cultivate a natural flow
    Despite the artificial rule's demands,
    To merge poetic regularity
    With artful deviation when required
By narrative or humor or mere whim.

    Regrettably, your rhythmic effort errs
By starting, and not ending, with the stress--
a trochee, not an iamb, have you wrought.
Regardless, 'tis good practice, and I'm sure
That Elan would be proud of your attempt.

I think I will stick to the stress
And the verse format that I know best
    For this kind, you see
    is flexible, indeed

Whelp, I finally bit the bullet and watched Rogue One, so I'm all caught up for Darths & Droids' Tuesday. It definitely was not one of the best movies I've seen. Then again, neither was Phantom Menace, and I liked the D&D version of the prequel trilogy, so I'm optimistic about how the Comic Irregulars will interpret it.

    Hello playground my old friend.
I've come to read your threads again.

When I paused to form an argument.
Against the trolls and other dissidents.
When my eye was snatched by the flash of an avatar,
    that moved so far,
    within the threads of giant.

"Fool," said I, "you do not know!
    That way madness only grows!
Fill the thread that we might continue.
Read its posts that you might find virtue!
But the darths, like broken droids did fall...
    into the well,
    of phanasticoria."

    ...

Okay, I obviously am sleep deprived and should go to sleep.

And the comic is reborn with a new hope for more parody!

    Spoiler
    Show
I must say, I am looking forwards to the audience commentary in this one. This page seems to have confirmed that Rogue One in D&D will be set after episode VI. I still have no idea how they are going to manage to explain it.

The scenes in RO that have Darth Vader and Tarkin in them could be flash-backs. Also, I'm guessing the plans everyone will be trying to get in RO will be the plans for Starkiller Base (or its D&D equivalent, MoonDefender Base)
rather than the Death Star/Peace Moon. That would help RO be a prequel to episode VII rather than episode IV.

I'm assuming keybounce is planning on sticking around the thread, so I wouldn't worry that much about it. Everyone just needs to make sure to stick to spoilers and not ruin stuff like the massive Ewok assault on the Death Star.
