I thought Kyle Katarn was just a fancy name for the PC in the LucasArts DoomClones, aka Dark Forces series. If he's in the EU, did he predate the games?

SpoilerOh wait, I confused Kyle with Cassian. Kyle/Saw is gonna die in a few minutes anyway,
so the whole laser sword episode is gonna be in the backstory I bet. Or they use some clever arrangement of shots, with Kyle/Saw glaring while a small picture shows a laser sword (without seeing Vader)

You aren't missing anything, except in one case. Most of them are comparing today's comic to stuff Jim said at the beginning of Ep IV, which is pretty much the opposite of a spoiler at this point.
