Been trying to rack my brain around making a satchel, or other small bag, work akin to a Bag of Holding, but instead it's enchanted with something more toward mordenkainen's magnificent mansion..Except the whole fact is I'm trying, and failing to, find /anything/ that isn't so...LARGE...Like, trying to not homebrew a creation spell for a smaller building than the mansion, enchanting it onto a bag, and using the bag as the "Door" so to speak. I'm not a Wiz/Sorc player...So this is annoying to search for ;_; I just wanted a small portable home... D:

Maybe an Enveloping Pit? It's a 50-foot-deep portable hole, which you could possibly turn into a small tower.

As I stated, I was hoping for a way to be able to walk around with it. ><; If anything I may just have to work around metamagic feat exploitation and try to get permanency or some crap slapped onto a satchel.. :/

...you can fold up the entrance of the enveloping pit. It functions like a portable hole except for the depth.

What does getting an eveloping pit have to do with being a wiz/sorc? It's a magic item, go and buy/commission one?

An enveloping pit is a relic, not a spell. It doesn't require Wiz/Sorc. You put it down and it functions as a portable hole, but with a great deal of depth to it. This thread discusses this exact premise, storing your personal residence inside.

As an aside, there are smaller versions of Magnificent Mansion, such as Leomund's Tiny Hut. But you basically have to be a caster if you want to be able to create a magical mobile home.

If you're looking for an item, try the Cloak of Shelter (12080 GP, A&EG). Leomund's secure shelter 1/day. Portable Oasis in the MIC might also be worth a look.

Yeah, Secure Shelter is also available on the SRD, and is a more house-like option than Tiny Hut, which is really just a dome.

Again, however, note that each of these offers a temporary option; you'd have to homebrew something to get them to create a permanent mobile domicile.
