The queen refrains from laughing. It wouldn't be polite.
"Fear. They know that if they kill unacceptable targets they will likely be killed in return. At every moment living things are in conflict for that which is scarce and valuable to them. They enter relationships with others that benefit them and form compacts to dis-incentivize behavior they want to avoid. Morality is simply a subtler such a compact."

Sarina folds her arms and pouts just a little bit.
"That's an awfully cynical way of thinking about it. Or perhaps that's the spider outlook, like Roth said. But I'm not a cynic, and I'm only a spider in title, so I can't boil it down that simply. I just can't."

"It is the view with the greatest explanatory power, as far as we have observed."
"Many true things are distasteful."
"Perhaps it would be helpful to discuss the complications that you cannot boil away."
Sarina is young and hot-blooded, of course she will have trouble at first.

Sarina turns slightly, eyeing the space where the Queen probably is with a sidelong glance
"Perhaps. I am always prepared to listen to my Queen, but not necessarily understand or agree." she admits.

[Recaiden]

"You are dismissed."

Sarina bows low. How does she manage to keep doing this.
"Please forgive me. I spoke out of turn. Perhaps philosophy isn't my strongest suit in learning. I'll be more receptive." she pleads.

[Recaiden]

"You are forgiven."
But that's all. The audience is still over.

Sarina shakes her head, bowing again, and runs away before she can shove her foot any further into her mouth. She'll try to head home to her tree house and find some way to take out her frustration.
