Marcus can only watch in awe as Icon's body begins to glow with a brilliant light, the Nidoran's form twisting and bulging as new, larger spines sprout where once only tiny stubs had been, and a longer, leaner body of muscle replaces the Nidoran's short, rabbit like form. When Icon lets out a cry that is exponentially more intimidating than his previous, Marcus allows a proud grin to cross his face. This fight was going to be different now that Icon was ready to go.

Lillian's mention of a Shiny Pokemon do put Marcus on edge though;

"I have a Shiny? That's news to me," Marcus says even as he directs Icon into the tall grass. "Evolution on the other hand..."

"Alright Icon, let's turn this into an endurance game! Poison Sting!"

Even as the Nidorino disappears into the tall grass, a massive toxic barb flies out, intent on taking the Ledian down a peg.

Prepping and checking the last of the eggs, Angus leaves with a farewell and heads toward Osage City. He leaves all of his Pokemon out so that they can enjoy the fresh air... and help deter any attackers.

"You act like I know anything about holograms or weird.... symbol things." Dominic says, shrugging. "Look, I still wanna finish this battle. We can... try and find a library or something afterwards maybe?"

"Okay... that sounds like a plan," he said with a nod, before turning his focus back to the field. "Okay Duke, charge!"

At that call the hound got back on it's feet before sprinting across the length of the area, going around the toppled mass of the mushroom in order to come face to face with his foe.

"Yeah, good match I guess." He shakes Adam's hand. Dominic couldn't blame Adam for trying to win... He just hated himself for losing. Looking at the broken arena he gives a sheepish grin and rubs the back of his head. "Yeah... that... wasn't the smartest thing to do, was it? We should probably tell someone."

You got out early, before traffic on the road picked up for the day. Helena was placid, but steady. She pulled the cart without many difficulties, and you were making good time. As the sun grew higher, more and more people traveled with you, most moving more quickly than you as they lacked the bulky baggage that you were taking with you.

She wore an ID badge with the symbol of the League on it. It fixes itself automatically after each battle. It's not unusual for the pillar to be broken. We try and use the arenas to teach trainers to take advantage of terrain features. It builds flexibility and creativity in those who challenge out gym which Teller finds appealing.

We actually found both of you to be rather talented starting trainers. The woman said. Which is why I'm here incidentally. My name is Mint, and I'm the publicity director for the Gym. We've been looking to do an exhibition for Teller's secret battle in a double or triple format for a while, and the two of you seem like perfect candidates! A bit young perhaps, but maybe people will be attracted to novice trainers fighting for their first badge. Heck, you might even earn yourself a few fans from the television special! She seemed inordinately happy for her professional demeanor, and she seemed to switch between overly happy and analytical as easily as a Goldeen swims through water.

Well? she asked before you even had a chance to process the request. What do you say?

That's when we will be at our most vulnerable. If you anything, or anyone, suspicious, wake me. Can you handle that?"

Gladia wags her tail and does a flip in the air to signify her readiness. Satisfied, Angus gets a fire going (after surrounding it with stones to prevent the blaze from spreading) and gives Helena the feedbag that he brought with him.
