But this time Robot is kind of alive. Even if Kat could reconstruct/regrow him, would he spurn the chance to die? He wants to be a living entity and that includes dying.

Robot's torso appears to be completely flesh now. I don't know if Kat has been adding, or if his arm grew and took over. The former, I would think. But this is Gunnerkrigg Court, which apparently great from the Seed Bismuth...

As to whether this can kill him: I assume as long as his CPU is untouched, he can be rebuilt. So if Jeanne is stopped before she takes him completely apart, he should live. I note he seems to have some sort of device attached to his waist; perhaps that can do something.

Shadow2 should be around, somewhere; we'll see.

I wonder what Robot expects to get out of being biological? The impression I have is that most robots do not have such desire prior to Robot convincing them to join his Cult of the Angel.

I suspect Robot gets to be on the forefront of a new robotic evolution, a change in their existence brought about by Kat (who is universally seen as beautiful by robots, if not an Angel specifically). And robot gets to be in close physical proximity to his object of worship. Touched by an Angel, as it were.

The only out would be if what we're seeing isn't what is happening (which is a possibility, illusions and all). It'd be a cheap cop out, but it's possible.

That, or fairy bodies aren't constructed the same way human ones are. Since they're etheric in origin and the bodies are artificial, it's possible they're made of sterner stuff than the Mark 1 human, or don't require the use of the squishy brain part.

I doubt it though. I'm fairly sure whatshername is a goner.
