I think Mogushan is a lot worse healbot (in mage where it being a body isn't relevant outside of a very lucky spellslinger). It doesn't cover direct damage like healbot, is vulnerable to silences and removal unlike healbot, and is a point less to boot. Granted, also 1 mana cheaper, but I'd rather have a card that might do some damage in that slot, even if it's untimely demise has a reasonable chance of handing your opponent some card advantage.

All very true, and maybe Dancing Swords is the correct choice after all. But really, both are fine.

My vote is still Mogushan, but just because I have painful memories about Swords. Playing them hurts me just as much as Frostbolting an Acolyte of pain.

Dancing swords is less risk, less reward. It'll generally take down a dude, probably gonna lose you a card. May give you a bit of tempo.

Mogushan has a chance to be really useful against a board of x/1s, or just provide a little utility when it protects your other minions.
He often acts as a Cone of Cold, which isn't awful.

And if you can get to give him even just +1 attack he becomes very strong.

I'd hardly call Oasis Snapjaw "very strong," even if you gave him taunt. Realistically, Mogu'shan Warden is only really strong against Muster for Battle. Which is a great card that people pick every chance they get, granted, but is only one card in one class.

I'd take the Swords. Better stats and better chance to actually accomplish something other than a delay, plus it's the cheaper card to boot, and I tend to be of the mindset that it's better to make your bad cards at least cheap when you have to take them.

Mogu'shan Warden isn't even all that strong against Muster. Sure, he eats up the dudes and trades evenly with the card when you include the hammer, but he's slow at clearing them, which means that there's time for the Paladin to drop Blessing of Kings or Keeper of Uldaman to change the dynamics of the trade entirely. Arcane Explosion deals with the dudes much more cleanly, costs less, and is already in the deck.

If snapjaw had taunt, he'd be top pick.
There is a world apart from 1 attack that is warden and 2 attack that is snapjaw.

Moving to another topic, I don't want to jinx it, but I have to share it, as I believe I am about the FINALLY get a high winning arena run. possibly even a 12.
Why is that? my deck, its bonkers. take a look in the spoiler if you want to.
So far just 2-0, and I've got no legends, but it just has so much high threat targets and soft removal that it can quickly spin out of control.
Starts real tame at the 1-2 mana picks, but the 3-5 is where it goes nuts.

We should move this to the main thread (this one is generally just for people actively engaged in arena drafts), but if it makes you feel any better, I don't actually think you've got that great a deck there. In particular, you don't have any shielded minibots (the best paladin 2-drop) and not a single buff spell (kings, in particular, is one of the most high-impact paladin cards). Your top end is also pretty bad and somewhat sparse to boot, so that deck is highly likely to lose games that trade card for card.

Yeah, your both your low end and your high end were kinda mediocre.

Lots of weak 1s, two Seals of Light (passive cards), nothing spectacular.

    Great 3,4,5, mediocre lategame.

Also, you bank a lot on those Mukla's champions/murloc knights, which are great as long as you have board advantage, which you don't necessarily get (since your 1s are mostly weak and your 2s are average at best)

Doubtful. The extra attack does make Snapjaw significantly better than Mogu'shan, no question there, but that's comparing something that's alright to take if the alternatives are poor to something that's just garbage. I don't see taunt being so good that it pushes Snapjaw up from mediocre-at-best to a top pick.

Well, Clockwork Giant is terrible. Sideshow Spelleater is often bad because you're Mage, so the only hero power you'd be okay taking is Paladin, but the stats at least are only sub-par, not awful. Faceless is... variable. Sometimes great, sometimes awful, often meh as far as arena goes. Wouldn't consider it the high pick it used to be anymore, but it's the best of this bunch, I think.

I would take the faceless, but sideshow isn't bad. Situationally, half the hero powers are good trades (late-game Life Tap, Armour Up, etc., midgame rogue/paladin...)

And it's a 6/5 body. Not mana efficient, but by the time you hit 6 mana cards you're more interested in value/tempo per card than mana efficiency.

Dalaran Aspirant is a solid body with a potential upside, and you do have a few damage spells lying around.

Flying Machine is bad to the point where even Hobgoblin decks look for better options. Flame Lances generally aren't useful for boosting with Spell Power, but Healbot doesn't do much to get you back onto a losing board and you don't have any big closers, just the Jormungar. Since you do have the Flamestrike, the Flamecannon, and a Conjurer, though, the Dalaran Aspirant is probably a bit better than the Healbot.

But if it's not a four drop, it's Salty Dog. Go break some spells, just like Steven Brust always wanted.

More fwoosh. Need some early game and Flamecannon nukes a 2 or 3 drop fairly easily.
