Rules change notice: For balance purposes, the Wolves do not quite have a majority of all players. Simulation found that while a minority Town could do well with fewer players, and therefore a higher density of powerroles, with this many players giving the wolves a majority of all players left Town with an unacceptably low chance of victory. It seems silly to have advertised all about having more wolves than villagers, but then to not quite have that despite having extremely dense wolves, but so it goes. I have posted more details to the Wolf QT.

That depends on the continent, but I'll assume you are right (as I live on the Best Coast as well.)

Can we not do the pure random votes thing this game? It's really anti-Town behavior, because if both wolves and Town use random votes, it becomes impossible to distinguish them.

Vote somebody for a reason, even a weak reason.

The desert sun baked from across the canyon. The twenty-four strangers held several staring contests. The hunters had been told only a bakers' dozen had answered the summons to hunt the monsters in this cavern. One, a bard who introduced himself as Reverb, broke the stillborn silence. "I think I know what's going on here. There's thirteen of us, and eleven of them. And I say she's one of them!" he cried, thrusting out his blade and pointing towards a woman, wearing a bearskin cape, on the other side of the circle.

"Well, Mister Reverb. Ah'm sarreh, but that just sims kinda rude, darlin'," she replied, pulling out her own silver blade. "Ahnd that's a mighty fine job yer doin', pickin' out a girl, tryin' ta make her all scaredy-like. Ah've niver gan huntin' nasties all parpis-like befar, but ya kin bet yer mum's toe ah've been in mah own fayre shayre o' tussles. So sarreh, but ah'm nat scared, darlin'. Ahnd ah'm not in'rested neither. So ah'd wager any nasty sure would say somethin' nasty. Sure, we kin settle this naw, little singerman. But ah'd imagine if we go fer a little sward-play, all o' us'll go down kickin' each otha, and all o' them'll git 'emselves a feast. Ahnd ya kin be sure as a dog's wabe you'll go down 'fore ah do. Ya wanna make this the law o' might? Fine. But that's yer call, not mine. Long as we're keepin' things civil, I reckon Mister reaverb like me a bit too much; he needs ta go down, folks. Charity sheathed her sword and sat down, making agitated faces towards the horizon. Niver agin, she thought. Niver let it happin agin. This was a bad idea, darn tootin', but ah guess ah'll stick it out. 'Sugar Spice'. Ah'll show that Billy. Ah'ma hunt down all o' them nasties, an' then ah'ma go home, an' punch 'is lights out wit' their mangy nasty heads. She pulled out a flask of rum, and swigged it, listening in on the conversation unfolding around her, and hoping that someone, finally, would listen to her for once.

The young sailor had returned home after many years away. He'd only been back a few months before the unpleasantness started in the Canyon village. An unpleasantness that had turned neighbor against neighbor, brother against brother. Paranoia divided them. Though each villager was strong, none was stronger than the mob.

Of that bakers dozen, one of them was actually 4 puppies. They arrive together, the pug dragging a basket behind them by a rope.

Glancing around the room, taking in the small horde of survivors, AvatarVecna would've let out a sigh, had he been holding his breath. It was always the same, the first day: wild accusations pointed all about, and nothing really being accomplished except by those skilled enough to have survive such things before. And yet, everypony here was a survivor of their own tragedy and they still pointed every which way, as if to draw a reaction...a clue...a sign of untrustworthiness from the reactions of their target.

Out of nostalgic remembrance, one of the liches hooves rose to slowly cross his heart...or at least, where his heart used to be. The crafty necropolitan had long ago hidden phylacteries away in villages far removed from his own, in case he didn't survive his own village's purging, and he'd been right to be paranoid: town after town, village after village, wolves had consumed the friends he'd made, and he'd always had another town to retreat to. But every friend lost to the wretched beasts was another hole in his heart, and there wasn't much left to lose. He'd gotten word that wolves were gathering together to celebrate their victories, and decided that he would join those rumored to be hunting the hunters.

Emerging from his thoughts, he almost groaned; that loud-mouth GAAD was still talking in that ridiculous fake accent! It was far too strong to be anything but an exaggeration, and the only ones who benefited from such a deception were the wolves. Having heard enough to make his decision for the first day, he raised a hoof to point at the insufferable loud-mouth.

I'll vote for GAAD (sorry for voting for you even though this is the first time I've seen you) since somehow he knows the exact numbers of town and wolves.
