    • The 1st Aladarian, having taken the brunt of the casualties among the Clan forces, is recalled home to recruit, rearm and retrain. Seeing the need for an expanded military presence, it's commander has the veterans split to form the cores of the both a renewed 1st Aladarian, and a newly created 2nd Aladarian legion.
    • A band of drimma apprentices seeking advancement to the rank of journeyman are chosen to explore the lands to the east, which are rumored to be the center of the long fallen power Aladar.
    • The Master Architect has traveled to the north to attend the Conclave called by the Veiled Lady. He goes with faint hope that a peaceful resolution can be found, but knowing that any effort made to spare his people more bloodshed is worth pursuing.
    • News of the rich gold deposits in Toldec have drawn a great many prospectors to the region, causing some conflict with local residents over land rights. Clan Architects are sent to maintain order and maximize efficiency; they uphold the land rights of the original inhabitants, but convince the locals to lease areas of their land to the new prospectors in exchange for a share of their findings, resulting in a major upswing in gold production for the region.

    • Were it not for the continuing negotiations with the Brey-An, the rumor goes, the Cacique would be leading the coalition of Lord Protectors against the Nifhel himself. Others claim the Cacique's conversion to the Pale Lady is a ruse allowing the Confederation to grow uninhibited.

The Union of Besina's Round 6 actions

    Current Council of Uca Jajaka:
    • Pralkemiri (70 yrs in power) (eldest)
    • Vinariun (36 yrs in power)
    • Oshenvar (11 yrs in power)

    1. [F] Although the newly organized Children of the Earth and its life-fueled nature is widely accepted by the people of Dhuda Besina, there are still some who cling to the unrefined beliefs. While this is not seen as bad, the Uca Jajaka still take it upon themselves to meet with these individuals in person to assuage their concerns over the new belief system. The traditionalists are soon swayed to the new belief system, marking the spiritual unification of the Dhuda Loka under the Earth's divine wishes. {Convert traditionalist minority present in Dhuda Besina to the Children of the Earth; TN:8/Roll:19/SUCCESS}
    2. [F] Continuing in their trend of converting their realm to the greatness that is the Earth, a group of Dhuda Loka travel to Tumbledown Marsh to meet with and hopefully convert the Daen worshippers present there. The party is ultimately successful, and they proudly welcome the new adherents to the Earth's tenants. {Convert Daen minority present in Tumbledown Marsh to the Children of the Earth; TN:8/Roll:15/SUCCESS}
    3. [F] With the former Daen adherents at their backs, the party of Dhuda Loka move on to swaying the nonreligious majority of Tumbledown Marsh to the Earth's holy message. With the added support of the other locals, the nonreligious are swayed to abandon their generations-old resistance to faith and the Children of the Earth welcome their new followers. {Convert Nonreligious majority present in Tumbledown Marsh to the Children of the Earth; TN:11/Roll:16/SUCCESS}
    4. [F] With their southern holdings now under the influence of the Earth, a second party sets out north to speak with the Gnolls about the Earth's message. They seem highly accepting of the idea ("No more talky men in robes to criticize our raiding! Har har har!") and soon their raiding parties begin to double as missionaries. Soon, the entire populace is under the influence of Earth, creating a true union between the people of the Union of Besina. {Convert Daen sole present in Bereholst to the Children of the Earth; TN:8/Roll:17/SUCCESS}
    5. [C][Curiosity 5] Hoping to curve aggression between the Gnolls and Humans of Bereholst, the conversion party manages to persuade the Gnolls to lighten up on lumbering settlements, allowing for expanded production of lumber. {Upgrade lumber resource from minor to good}

    Nonaction: Agree to host the passage between the Stormland holdings and the other regions of the Luskan trade network via Bereholst as soon as the lumber operations have improved to facilitate it. {Bereholst will join next round, but for now Stormland's joining can be facilitated}

    • The Prophetess Council foresees Thalia's child to be another girl. Thalia indeed gives birth to a healthy baby girl with blue eyes and blue hair named Grisanna. Nay sayers start to question the Queen's reluctance to give birth to a child of Avonlean stock.
    • The Queendom is disquieted by the disappearance of the Queen's Handmaiden, Enyrre after attending the Nanda Triumph. Some say the Acolyte Chere knows Enyrre whereabouts, but if so, she has only spoken to the Council on the matter.

Spoiler: Letter to the Spring Court of the Aeldir
    Show

    Dearest Lady Spring,

Thank you for your letter. It is with great regret that we have not yet made our acquaintance with each other, though the charm of your Court is well known. After some discussion with my Mistress of Coin, I could offer you ships and tobacco in trade at this time. Of course, I would be interested to hear what Avonlea would receive in turn. If you have a route in mind that would best suit our purposes, please just let it be known, and we will gladly start commerce between our peoples within the next couple of years.

Sadly the Prophetess Council has declared ill portents for sponsoring a Spring Court girl at this time.

    Sincerely,
High Queen of Avonlea, Thalia Darkthorne
Sealed with the Queen's own mark, a Phoenix.

    Spoiler: Enyrre at the Triumph
    Show

Enyrre sat kneeling before a low table in her delegation's dim tent, a small flickering candle illuminated her workspace as her quill filled the emptiness of the page on which she wrote. She thought of what might be the High Queen's response somewhat angrily, her white brow creasing in annoyance, her writing paused for a moment as she stared off into space, fixated on her inner thoughts more than her letter for the moment. Enyrre was young and comely, though eclipsed in beauty by Helia or even the Queen herself. She was not brave like Thalia, who had been reborn in the blood of childbirth and the battlefield. Though to speak true, the battle of Evemoor could not be considered more than a skirmish, but riding into battle with the purpose to kill another person if need be had to change a person. Enyrre reflected as her quill resumed moving along her page, the candlelight sending shadows overs her words and reflecting in her deep blue eyes as she contemplated her possible fates. The Mother had not ordained her for a higher purpose, the Queen seemed destined to reunite her people, Mother keep her, but there was no higher calling waiting for Enyrre in Avonlea, this she knew for true, and without the aid of seer's sight.

Enyrre had accepted the role of emissary for this trip, and gladly, in the hopes of catching the eye of some forrin dignitary perhaps, and maybe even a minor Lord, but her own charms had been all but invisible next to Helia who had garnered all the attention, with her big innocent doe eyes, and her shining golden hair. Enyrre scowled unbecomingly and savagely brushed a lock of pale hair that had become loosened from her braid away from her face and tucked it behind her ear. Her quill faltered again as she daydreamed of traveling to Ambrose and finding a strong dark-haired man of her own as the Queen had found Maldarr. Maybe even Maldarr himself! She grinned viciously at the thought, the Queen had no proper claim to the man, especially now. Thalia would have bore her new babe by the time the Avonlean ship would have returned home, and that child was surely not of Maldarr. What would he think of his precious Queen then?

She drooped as some of the heat left her temper, her slim, bare shoulders sagging. No, that was beneath her. Perhaps she would travel deep into the forest of Çangalamin, it was said you could get lost in there, and it was rumoured a whole people once did. Çangalaaaamin She drew out the last "a" making the forrin word sound almost musical to her ears. And there were even lands beyond Ambrose. There was Berrium, of the gallant knights and courtly ladies, wouldn't that be fine? She hummed as she imagined dancing with a handsome knight who had won her favour with a joust. And there were lands even past Berrium, The jade Coalition that was said to be most civilised. A sailor at port had given her a jade comb for her hair once, it was back home but it was green and lovely and carved into the shape of a seashell. Her body tingled with excitement at the thought of the adventures waiting to be had.

Enyrre woke from her daydreams as her candle guttered, she quickly finished her letter and dripped some of the hot wax that had pooled in the base of the candle holder to seal it shut. She placed her letter next to Chere's sleeping form, uneasy eyes flicking over to Helia's empty bed. Helia had failed to return back to their tent, but Chere had not seemed concerned so they had not sought after her. She shrugged and started to gather her necessary things into a small pack, having to cull more than she liked in order to fit in food and water. She stood just outside the entrance to her tent, the warm breezes of Andanand rippling stray hairs across her face as a smile broke across her lips, the field of tents was quiet this evening, the revelers still out celebrating. She began to walk and did not look back, she mused on how she might get to Ambrose, putting one foot in front of the other was as good a start as any.

    News & Rumors
    Spoiler
    Show

    • The disruption of the Rose Contract is suspected to have been the actions of either Geshemefar or possibly latent rebels within Luska. The perpetrators are quietly applauded for their bravado and success and Lady Autumn issues a statement that for the impressiveness of the act no retribution will be taken though the perpetrators will be investigated and identified for internal assessment. If, however, the Contract is interrupted again there will be no mercy for the suspects or those found guilty of the interference.
    • Lady Autumn meets with Lady Spring to discuss the Spring Court's four year investigation into the missing Maestro. With nothing to show for it Lady Autumn suggest the Spring Court's resources might be better used learning about the crystals of Tir Xungla or identifying the disruptive force that interrupted the Rose Contract.
    • Hearing rumors from Luska and Lignummus of Chesuka's abduction by members of the Crystal Union the Rose Courts prepare for the possible necessity for war to defend their Protectorate. It is hoped that these are rumors only and Chesuka has simply taken a holiday or gone to carry out business concerning Luska as is her guaranteed right as Protectorate of Luska within the Rose Demesne.
    • In preparation for the conclusion of the Luskan Contract the Matron of the Fall leading the Lord Admiral directs her proxy son, or perhaps lover, towards engaging with marriage offers from prominent Luskans. It is thought that perhaps he might wed Chesuka herself.

While the proclamation of a "New Order of Daen" and the fanatical application of the Elder Abbot's speech as an endorsement of the Avonlean perspective of an All-Mother leads many to accuse the Elder Abbot of having been corrupted by outside influenced Frerick maintains that his opinions have not swayed so far and like a mantra it is repeated "Daen is Daen." Unrest within the clergy is becoming more prevalent, especially as the Avonlean view is spread and promoted so closely in the east while the emergence of the Children of the Earth occurs just to the south without recourse.

Frerick continues his policies of redirection, sending proselytizers to the western continent and the growing union of Ambrose, Nand, and Krozna hoping that bringing this power over to the support of the Church will help secure its safety and the spreading of its message in the eastern continent in the near future. Some Abbots within the Church call for the proselytizing of the Aeldir but even beyond Frerick's supporters such a proposition is deemed too dangerous given the Church's already precarious position.

The loss of the long time defenders of the House in the north is mourned and privately it is muttered about the Lords Paramount failure to reinforce these men and the capture of Chief Harod being a mighty blow that might have been avoided. Still, it is hoped that the matter may be resolved without further bloodshed and that the Nifhel will retreat in the face of the united force of the Pale Lady.

While the friendship of the Prevaz is appreciated. They are warned that any attempts by the Aristry to try and usurp or otherwise force the fealty of the Grey King without his consent will be met with war, referencing the events of Blarhiminn, but they are willing to discuss trade and potential cultural exchange. For now however the security of the recently acquired islands must be insured and focus is put into building up the Grey Armada. This new fleet comes under the command of Admiral Ret'ri who recovered Dorlam from the Shamans.

The diplomatic event attended by Ambassador Leonard Stawski Wyrzyk and the lessons learned of the Coalition's neighbors causes much excitement within the Council. While the warlike nature of the Primals and the tales of the Aeldir conquest are concerning to Niebisks and Fiolty and cause for the Zol to successfully push for an accelerated naval construction generally the response is one of curiosity. While the Coalition is still handling its own affairs, notably the completion of the annexation of the Puldine Acreage, it is hoped that more relations with these southern realms might be fostered in time. Already Watkins Asker of Ambrose has proven to be a popular face at Council meetings, though his association with Leonard has prevented inroads being made with the Krolzer.

    The Great Clans of Nifhel
    The Harbringer Lochbar

    • Interested in how the more southern people handle "Diplomacy" the Harbringer Lochbar and his trusted riders gallop off to attend this conclave hosted by the heathen Veiled Lady. [Diplomacy]
    • With the Harbringer handling negotiations with the Southern Savages, the 4 Great Clans of Nifhel begin staring each other down like hungry wolves. The crusade has ground to a halt and without enemies to put upon the sword skirmishes break out as the Horsemen call in favors among the lesser clans striving for ascendancy. In a bold grab at power, the Clan Jötenhel has marched to the west with a large expeditionary force of Raiders to settle among the population and build towns in the snow blasted realm of (P4). Leading the way is the Horsemen War, who has gone so far as to build a temporary base of operations beside a great river where many bears come to hunt. Further consolidating his control over the local populace, the Horsemen War has taken the Boy Chief Uther and propagated him as his own personal ward. Though the position holds no real significance amongst the Nifhel raiders, who often mock Uther behind his back, it still places him close to the political action and inner workings of Clan Jötenhel, where the Horsemen War has atleast made a token gesture to listen to the boys advising and mold him in the teachings of the Fimbulvintr. (Attempt to Stabilize P4) [Diplomacy]
    • Seeing the Horsemen War and Death ingratiate themselves amongst the new populations seized by their holdings, Clan Hardrada moves to instead place themselves within a politically necessary role of organizing and taxing the several merchants who move through the realms lead by the Harbringer. Creating a series of tolls and bribing Skalds to act as informants, the Kappi Prestur's of Clan Hardrada soon expand their repetoire from Lawmen to Taxmen, and soon their neat infrastructure is thrown into disarray as they chart out a trade route throughout the north (With substantial aid from the scouts and explorers of Clan Grimmson for the most efficient routes). Over the span of 2 years order is slowly enforced in order to distribute resources properly to and out of Nifhel, and finaly "The Norðanátt" Trade Route is established. (Curiosity, create a Trade route throughout my owned realms)
    • Accompanying the Habringer on his ride through Region 266, the Horsemen Pestilence offers aid to Lochbar in whatever way the Harbringer ask of him, and devotes many of his resources to easing the Peacekeeper of Nifhel's stay outside of their wasteland home. The other Great Clans merely scoff and write it off as the typical suite of brown nosing that any of them would have done had they gotten their first. In truth, the Horsemen Pestilence uses this opportunity to secretly ferret away his Raiders and scholars throughout the land, colonizing and building up towns whilst learning and recording (A method taught to them in exchange for helping Clan Hardrada setup their trade route) the locals teachings. Gathering his trusted advisers and personal Herald, Pestilence tasks them with the difficult goal of fusing Nifhel morals and beliefs with the local customs and superstitions of the local population. Ever the cunning leader, Pestilence seeks to claim this land for his own and stabilize it before the people chaff under the yoke of Nifhel's brutal regime. (Attempt to Stabilize Region 266) [Diplomacy]
    • Negotiations with the lesser Clan Völsing has gone off succesfully, allowing Clan Niffeldruch to prop up one of their own warriors as a high ranking Clansmen and reduce Völsing to little more then a puppet organization. Operating through them, Clan Niffeldruch offers them free passage through Náströnd and aid in colonizing and domesticating the savages of P7. Spies and informants abound within the puppet clan, as even from hundreds of miles away the Horsemen Death slowly pulls her strings and tries to seize control of the burial mound ore mines that worm their way through the region. Few see the purpose behind this strange metal called Platinum, but rumors slip forth through the iron like grasp of Clan Niffeldruch, and some say she has far darker intentions with the local populace. (Attempt to stabilize region P7) [Diplomacy]

    Spoiler
    Show
The rebel leader, the so called "High Tirk" of Lerr (the barbarian Fiid seem not to have realised that High is the title, not Tirk. Tirk is a personal name.) is executed. This takes place over a surprisingly long period of time. What remains of his body is burnt and the ashes scattered in the eastern sea. A fitting end for a traitor.

    3. [DIPLOMACY] Continue construction of the embassies; perhaps they will bring unity to the alliance in this time of discord.
    4. [MILITARY] Raise a unit of infantry in region 39. Like all Fiid infantry, they are equipped with swords, spears and axes, using shields and cloth armour for protection. Some are instead equipped and trained as archers, utilising longbows cut from Beg wood.

    [Fantastigoria]
[The (Official) 13th Maestro della Aeternum]

    Round 6 Actions:
    1. [Curiosity]: Offer to contribute regions [#73], [#74], [#75], and [#77] to the Queen's Road trade route.
    2. [Curiosity 5]: Raise Fantastigorian Steel to [Good] quality
    3. [Curiosity ]: Engage in a comprehensive study of the texts written and studied by the Blood Thief's cult.
    4. [Curiosity ]: Attempt to discover the origins of the cult, and root out any remaining members.
    5. [Diplomacy ]: Scheduled a number of grand celebrations performances in honor Marco Perfenzio and the other heroes who put an end to the nightmare of the Blood Thieves.

    Sub-actions
    • Agree to terms of lasting peace with the Autumnal Court of the Aeldir. Contribute whatever is necessary on Fantastigoria's part to seal the promised sacred ritual. The Maestro notably breaks with tradition and does not reciprocate the sacred vow with equivalent reverence (a Witch's Blood Oath), but makes a more mundane declaration of peace all the same.

    Spoiler: News
    Show
    • It's widely believed that the county's recent troubles are owed to the loss of the Old Ways of "Proper Witchcraft". If only Fantastigora could master fate as it had done in the old days of glory, these miseries could be predicted and contained.
    • Rumor abounds that the Aeldir were directly responsible for the apparent death of the Maestro. Some call for a Grand Vendetta (a concept roughly equivalent to "War", but not so unforgivably Vulgar), but the council of Duksae insist that now is not ripe for an Age of Blood. The saber rattlers are mildly assured by the Maestro's refusal to seal a pact of peace with a true Blood Oath, but few seriously believe there's any real chance of secret or public Vendetta.
    • In an effort to stall the debate regarding the country's new proprieties, The Maestro demands the everything be done to sew up all lose ends regarding the Blood Thieves.

     Protectorate of Luska

    [Region #9: Luska]
    Turn 6; Years 110-111
    Chesuka of Luska (23-24)

    Calm, a New Beginning
The end of the resistance and departure of the Aeldir armies has left the people of twilight in a new position. Chesuka's signature and new position is regarded suspiciously at first, however her actions have soon been shown to bring help and recovery for the injured people.

Although the people of Luska have recovered and rebuilt the water market in two years, there is still a lot of uncertainty of the future.

    Actions:

      Spoiler: Luskan Trade Language
      Show
      Luskan Trade Language
The diaspora of Luskans and their easy to learn native language makes the language of twilight, or the Luskan language, gestures and written characters, easy to learn and a popular merchant tool. The trouble of management and interpretation between different merchants has made trade more efficient, allowing more merchants to coordinate between buyers and sellers in international environments. In this way, it is slowly beginning to replace "trade" as the most popular and common trade language.

      • Avonlea
      • Ambrose
      • Prevazan Artistry

OOC: I'm sorry it was very busy so it could not be represented such a showing in [The Nanda Triumph] thread. I would have liked to roleplay with everyone at this thread!
    • <Diplomacy Action> Create North Star Memorial Lighthouse for the deaths during the Aeldir occupation. Such a lighthouse will shine brightly to guide with the hopes of peace and a safe future to merchants and sailors who come to Luska. [1/2]
    • <Diplomacy Action> Finish construction of North Star Memorial Lighthouse. The tale of the forlorn seagull sailor who waits for his love, the North Star Otter maiden, is incorporated into this memorial as a symbol of those who are left behind and continue to watch the horizon. The combined efforts of the clans assuages pain and strengthens bonds. It can be said this beautiful limestone lighthouse is without equal. [2/2]
      Spoiler
      Show

Especially the first action is the organization of her position, as Protector of Luska, the old days of the clan fighting is finally finished. This new shared experience of oppression of Aeldir, and the new guidance of Chesuka has created a stronger bond together. The people of twilight may wear different proud tattoos of their clans, but they are truly one united people.

    • It is said that Chesuka has been studying very hard with an Aeldir Matron. The Aeldir language and culture has become seen as important now with the new relationship.
    • It is said that the Spring Lexions are patrolling the seas to look for troublemakers. An angry Squid clan member protests that their fishing has been negatively affected by the patrols.
    • There is a rumor that Chesuka was kidnapped and taken away, however she has denied such a rumor with a laugh.

    Spoiler: Letter to Lady Spring
    Show

The delivered letter is written in a polite and cursive handwriting style, properly in Aeldir letters and language. From a native speaker it can be seen the effort and careful time to spend to write, although some small examples of immature writing of letters can be seen.

Dear Lady Spring of the Rose Courts,

    Thank you for your letter.
About the situation of Gullinbursti, which is also called Tir Or-Torc by the Aeldir. While I believe the Aeldir are capable of seeing many things skillfully, there are many things that Lady Spring and her Spring Girls do not prefer to see. It is also possible for the Aeldir who are capable of seeing many things skillfully to see things that they desire to see, even if such things cannot be seen by others.
Therefore, while it is fortunate that your investigation does not show the mistreatment of the people of Gullinbursti, it is not an issue that I can concern myself with. I was not in Gullinbursti when the invasion happened. What I have witnessed and seen in Luska, which we call "The Rape of Luska," such atrocities, and the similar stories of the war in the east and the plight of the Geshem have been heard, too. Therefore allow me to share the proverb 'there are stones in the past that should be avoided coming too close to, to prevent one's ship from capsizing. '

About the Geshem leaving Tillwell, it is a situation similar to our own. To speak about reasons for leaving in this short message would be to tell the entire history of the people of twilight. However, I would like to implore the Lady Spring to consider strongly the meaning of the word 'crime'. To have been treated as a criminal before, I wonder if it is this experience that you wish for me to share. I think compared to humans the Aeldir are very quick to declare a crime and make a punishment before a full investigation. If it is asked my opinion, I would suggest to not treat the Geshem as criminals, in the same way do not ignore the feelings of the people ruled by the Rose Courts.

Chesuka, Protector of Luska of the Rose Courts

P.S. Choko says hello and is quite jealously protective of me, so please accept his refusal of the offer of a Spring Court girl. Everyday I am busy with the Autumn Matron, trying to learn the Aeldir culture and language, and I think Choko would become inconsolable if I did not spend my free time with him.

Although the people of twilight have been united, Chesuka signed a treaty with the Aeldir, becoming a protectorate. She has been studying hard to learn the Aeldir language and culture.

    Round Seven: Begin!
Years 112-113 of the Aenic Calendar

Don’t forget to link to any rolls you make for ANY Attribute checks, plus rolls for rulers you will start using at the start of next round. If you want a new ruler in the next round, you must state so in your action post for this round and link to their rolls. Any increases from actions for this round are counted for the ruler you start your next round with (because it’s handier to account for by the co-GM), which may or may not be your current ruler.

    Good luck!

    Rules Changes!

A resource may be changed wholesale with a Curiosity 5 action, however doing so reduces its quantity ([Great] down to [Good] down to [Minor]) by one step except in the case of [Minor] resources which will remain [Minor]

Luck as a stat may now accrue beyond 10, with no upper limit. However, only one Luck 10 may be used in a round/player and only two Luck 5s may be used by one player in a round.

After lengthy discussion the Ambrose Ascendancy, Kroznat League, and the Kingdom of Nand emerge as a federation, the League of Allied Provinces!

    Investigate!

[111] Spring Courtland Aeldir find indication that the reports of terror in Guillinbursti were either greatly exaggerated or in some cases, completely fabricated. The Spring Boys most commonly identified as the ruthless terrorists are also discovered to share a common trend being deployed in the southern portion of the region and reports of northern atrocities become much more vague and less traceable. The Bear and Eagle tribals who attested to these atrocities are found to mostly have disappeared, the few that can be tracked down having been identified as going south, into Luska.

    Colonize!

    Anceris successfully colonizes Region 277!

The Ambrose Ascendancy successfully colonizes Region 45!

The Queendom of Avonlea successfully colonizes Region 82!

    Claim!

The conflict between Sea King and the city-state of Litius is ended as Anceris funds a detractor league within Litius that overthrows the presiding governor in a small but violent revolution within the Governor’s palace. Many within Litius and even among the Sea King’s domain see this manipulation and deceptive coup as dishonorable but the Litius threat is ended and Anceris extracts its oath of fealty from the Sea King [Claim 2/2]

Concluding a series of contracts granting the Cacique of the Cahoosa Confederation the authority to act as herding lord for the Brey-An the home plains of the Brey-An are annexed into the Confederation. [Claim 2/2]

Pressing in with the support of a plurality of local chiefs bought off with promises of elevation in position and wealth the Cahoosa Confederation forces resistant tribes to pledge themselves to the Confederation. Those that don’t flee the region. [Claim 2/2]

Concluding arrangements made with prestigious merchants and local men and women of influence who agreed to joining the Jade Coalition in exchange for a place on the proposed new council of the region use their influence and funds to buy the loyalty of the local king’s fighting men. The king, already neutered these last few years by expanding Coalition support is deposed and council rule, reporting the Coalition Council and the Krolzer, is established within the region. [Claim 2/2]

The Five Tribe Syndicate forces the most prominent family within Region 103 to pledge their loyalty to Niran Wanam after the family’s eldest daughter ends up with an Ustrijan child backed by the Five Tribes as heir with threat of war. Their pledging to the Syndicate also came with the Niran recognizing the child as illegitimate that the local family might produce another heir of their own. One who will be bound to the Five Tribes by bond if not by blood. [Claim 2/2]

The Nevarri League manipulates the inheritance laws of Region 34 through forgeries and external pressure to conform to League standards carried out by regional officials on Nevarri payrolls. This happens concurrently as a flood of Nevarri noble ladies come available for marriage to the local ruler’s nephews along with sizable dowries made to these various cadet branches. [Claim 1/2]

    Convert!

The Doctrine of the Nine Candles catches like fire in Calendula and locals begin to discuss conversion! (TN: 10 to resist DoNC Minority)

Tumbledown Marsh now contains Children of Earth Sole!

Bereholst now contains Children of Earth Sole!

Ambrose now contains a Daen Majority!

    War!

[111] Lignummus conquers Region 135, if the region isn’t stabilized soon it could prove troublesome.

[112] Despite the bluster and bravado of the so-called People's King in Rasp, once the Fiid army mobilizes the self styled monarch shows himself to be little more than a petty thief with delusions of grandeur. The rebellion is swiftly squashed, the only casualties suffered by the Fiid army due to the outbreak of cholera. The natives seem defeated by this showing of Fiid force but some mutter that a true leader might still rise and it may be in the Fiid's best interests to quell these rumors before they spell trouble yet again.

[112] Lignummus' attempted invasion of Region 143 is a failure as Alvin's forces are met on the field by the local ruler, King Theodon and his matching army. Theodon proves himself to be the superior tactician and favorable luck and terrain sees the local army repel and cripple the invading force, forcing the Lignummese out of the region.

    Terror!

[112] Despite the defeat and state of exile of the Decasage the Geshem of the Tillwell refuse to bend to the Aeldir of Tir Amser. Hexasage Abrahaia Grenfield, an especially charismatic Geshem, and supporter of the exiled Rosenbaum, declares his intent to overthrow the tall invaders and draws a number of dissatisfied Gesh to his cause and marches to reclaim the Great Burrow where Gesh agents of the Rose Courts currently administrate the region backed by an army of 2,000 disaffected Gesh. Abrahaia’s March, as it is called within the region, is hoped to draw the support of Rosenbaum in retaking the Tillwell. (Region 17 is in rebellion)

[112] Despite the attempts of the Horseman of War to prop up the boy chief Uther as a legitimizing facade to the Nifhel invasion the people, long militant and loyal to the boy chief’s father more than to their former chief’s child the locals hold a secret moot and nominate a new chief, the brother of Uther’s father, Kay. Uther, recognizing his precarious position reaffirms loyalty to his Nifhel captors trusting in the might of the Great Clan hordes to put down his uncle’s rebellion, though with 2,000 fighting men at his command and the possibility of his having learned the same tactics as his deceased brother as he claims makes the move a gamble. Other!

[112] A woman travels the Trade Routes of Arandi, alone save for her cart pulled by a small pack of Simurghs. How she has managed to train these dog-like creatures to pull her cart is a mystery, but she is provided for and treated as the head of the pack. At each village she stops at that has a Simurgh, she helps the wounded ones, disabuses abusive owners, and is often rumored to be able to speak with the creatures themselves; the veracity of this claim is laughable, but still, everyone is calling her the Simurgh Whisperer.

The woman - regardless of her ability to speak with or not speak with the animals - is an expert on caring for them, can tell when a Simurgh is being treated right or not, and has an almost uncanny ability to make friends with the people who love Simurghs almost as much as she does. She is rumored to be the fore-most judge on all Simurgh-related events, even if no one knows her name.

[113] A falling star appears in the sky over Avonlea. At first, the inhabitants are amazed at the brilliant spectacle, but amazement soon turns to alarm as the meteor burns brighter and brighter before exploding in the air above the region's capital. Windows throughout the city are shattered and metallic debris rains down upon it. Needless to say, the doomsayers have a field day with this. However, one good thing does come out of this as the largest piece contains more than enough high quality star metal to make something worthwhile, even mystical some wager.

    Actions:
    • <Curiosity> With letters sent to and from Arendar (116), Lady Spring works with Niran Wanam to join the 'Fern Ridge' Trade Route, and adds Deep Fern (Region 23, Peanuts) the Maurader Isles (Region 26, Wood) to it, and encourages Rivo Alto (Region 10, Wood) to also send shipments that way. She suggests for Lord Summer to also instruct the merchants of Munda Doab to the begin using the route to ensure that the needs of the Five Tribes for fish are met. A deal concerning trade access to the port and preferred privileges of the fish of the region is created, so long as the region remains at peace, and no conflict arises between the Tribesman and the Aeldir, to be revisited in a period of ten years.
    • <Curiosity> Seeing that the needs of some of her potential trade partners are not being met, Lady Kellianth entreats with the people of Petravolan that they should consider joining the 'Fern Ridge' Trade Route. (Hostile Takeover of Region 118's Medicine // Invite Rexleox to join the Trade Route.) Send explorers to look into the region south of what Aeldir are calling Tir Corryn (south of 27, roll: 17).

    • <Secret> ((Quinton's Eyes Only!))
    • <Military> Continue patrols of the Luskan Trade Network.
    • <Military> Organize patrols for the Crystal Rose trade route, involving unused naval units from Spring, Autumn, and Winter. Treat these patrols as exercises in cooperation between the various ship types.
    • <Curiosity> Desiring the Silk found in the area, entreat with the people of what some Aeldir are calling Tir Corryn (for they know not it's true name) into joining the Trade Route that their neighbors, the Marauder Isles, are joining. Show them all the riches that would be coming onto their island, and convince them of the wisdoms of being a part of the trade network. (Hostile Takeover of Region 27's Silk, roll: 15 - Fern Ridge)

    Spoiler: News and Rumors
    Show

    • Cynfonni, the Spring Court Girl whom was sponsored by Anceris, returns to Glaw Novo for a period of one year! After which, she returns to Anceris, ready to tackle harder studies, accept a position within the Grand Principality, and maybe - just maybe - be allowed to stay up past the Anceris notion of 'bedtime'. Upon returning to Anceris, she is given the position of 'Assistant Almoner', going out among the people to assist the Lord Almoner in all charitable endeavors undertaken by order of the Grand Princess.
    • Other Spring Court Girls whom have been sponsored by other countries receive letters inviting them to return back to Glaw Novo for a short time, should their sponsoring country not mind the inconvenience.
    • Lady Kellianth still has found no additional runes in the Xungla Crystals, and is beginning to wonder if she has exhausted what she will find in the strange stones. She has instructed Aeldir merchants to be on the look out for unusual runes in other strange objects.
    • Finally able to begin reorganizing Trade Routes that are under all Rose Court Aeldir control, Kellianth reviews the needs and desires of the peoples that the Demesne protects. Finding several of those needs to be unmet - alarmingly so - she immediately begins to redirect many merchants, providing those that do so with some of the golden stems of the Violet Roses as marks of their cooperation. Oddly, some merchants do not use them as currency, but rather as ornamentation on their arms. The 'Golden Stem' armband is approved by Lady Spring, and she starts wearing one as well. Spring Court girls involved in organizing Trade are given permission to wear them as well.
    • Lady Spring is very excited at the idea of the Luskan Trade Language, as is looking forward to getting her hands on someone or something that can teach it to her.
    • Hearing the rumors of what Lord Winter is doing to improve metal alloys, Lady Spring squeals in delight at the wonderful gift that 'Grandpop Balor' will be giving the Aeldir. She begins to wonder - aloud - what else might be down in that vault of his.
    • The Spring Court, as a whole, seems to be tentatively receptive to Kellianth's splitting of the Rose Throne into five pieces. There are no more doubts about Glaw Novo giving orders that caused such disruption only a few of the non-Aeldir's 'years' ago.
    • Aeldir Historians are debating as to what to call this new Age. Some say it should be the Age of Peace, but considering the new conflicts with non-Aeldir, that doesn't seem to fit. Others contemplate aloud that it could be called the Age of Unity, but as the Summer Courts are still dealing with unrest in Tillwell, that name does not quite fit either.
    • Lady Spring receives word of the Stormlanders wishing to add their Gold to the Luskan Trade Network. Kellianth is not opposed to the idea, but after speaking with many merchants and listening to their opinions, she is unsure that it would meet the needs of the Silver Spires, due to the League of Allied Provinces redirecting where their Witchweed goes. She pens a letter to the newly crowned King Devon, apologizing for the inconvenience, and offering to speak with him further about the possibility of aiding the Stormland Holdings in getting on to a different Trade Route if he desires, and suggesting that he contact High Queen Thalia Darkthorne about joining the Queen's Road.
    • Lady Kellianth is said to be at a crux of a trade decision. Arendar has been slow to respond - either due to the messenger being lost or some other reason - and it is unclear if the Rose Courts will be able to join the Fern Ridge Trade Route. She pens letters to the Summer Court and Petravolan, informing them that should the Five Tribes trade route be unwilling - or if it is stretched too thin - Lady Spring is willing to sponsor the creation of a Trade Route to see to her trading partner's needs. She dubs this potential trade route the 'Southern Rose', but makes it plain in her letter that the Fern Ridge route is the preferred traveling circuit, as told to her by Gold Stem merchants.
    • Hearing rumors of the Simurgh Whisperer, Lady Spring sends a letter to Ambrose, curious as to when a Simurgh race might next be taking place, and if the Whisperer could be convinced to be there.

-King Alvin and his troops were unprepared for the last battle expecting it to be an easy victory but it was not and so more troops are trained and 5000 Sasus are sent flooding into the region.

-Rumors have reached the king that years back there was an Aeldir hosted party. These rumors state that one of the guests offered lady spring a gift that was deemed to cheap and so all of the guests were massacred.
-The King (and most sensible) people dismiss these as ridiculous or at least extreme exaggerations but the King is worried about this Aeldir-Fear that is developing among some citizens.
