The Winter Court
Actions
- Continue construction of the Grand Temple to Eithne (4/5) [Faith]
- Complete construction of the Grand Temple to Eithne (5/5) [Faith]
- Lord Winter descends the hidden vaults beneath Caer Gheimhridh, returning to the surface with a bundle of scrolls dating from the Age of Beginning. Many whisper that the techniques found therein were locked away with the dissolution of Aeldir solidarity, and that many more such secrets yet remain. [Military 10]
Spoiler: Coldblood AlloyHarkening to the steel used by races beyond Tir Amser, the secrets of Coldblood involve alloying heated Blood Roses with a number of precious trace minerals before quenching the metal in a decoction of Boreal Nectar. The resultant metal is no longer red, but a purple so deep as to appear nearly black in dim light. Harder than mundane steel and surprisingly light, coldblood's true benefit is its uncanny ability to hold an edge, allowing for sharper blades without fear of blunting or cracking.
Mechanical Effect: +1 to Battle Checks, Weaponry Slot
Requires: Blood Roses and Boreal Roses - Muster one unit of Raven Knights [Military]
- Send a representative to meet with Lady Spring, to discuss trade routes within the Rose Demesne. Upon hearing the rumored information from the Provinces that the Luskan Trade Route is changing, Lady Spring suggests we must change with it. Remove Rivo Alto (Region 10, Wood) from the Luskan Trade Route. [Curiosity]
- Send a representative to meet with Lady Spring, to discuss trade routes within the Rose Demesne. Add Silverlake (Region 16, Silver) and the Autumn Courts (Region 64, Marigold Roses) to the Crystal Rose route. [Curiosity]

Spoiler: Official Kroznat South Sea Trade Company Routes Map
The Grand Continental Course is marked in Blue. The Trade Route Primaris is marked in Green. The Dandric Road is marked in Pink. The Luskan Trade Network is marked in Red. The Crystal Rose Trade Route is marked in Goldenrod.
Spoiler: News and Rumors
- Though having ceded some functions of authority to the Nanda Crown and the Clans of Ambrose, in many ways the new agreement is seen as an extension of the Kroznat Governing Model over the combined lands of Nand and Ambrose. While Krozna is no longer the indisputable senior partner in such an arrangement, the Mirzahib seems content enough to continue administering his state as if nothing had changed. Though the central government of the Allied Provinces is itself based in Krozna, a Governor is still needed to run the day-to-day operations of the city.
- The war with Skianz to the West (and its allies in Fiid and the Nevarri League) catches the Mirzahib by surprise only in the sense that he thought they would wait for a moment of weakness before striking or at least some kind of casus belli; he had already built one of the world's largest military forces in preparation for an eventual attack. While he ceded much of his Military Authority to the Nand in the agreement forming the allied provinces, he nevertheless remains a capable commander and is happy to offer his advice to Queen Aiman.
- The involvement of Primus's armies in the war were unanticipated though certainly not unwelcome. While Shou was confident already in the ability of the Allied Provinces to defeat the invaders, Primus' counterattack seems to have put Skianz effectively on the defensive, granting an advantage to be pressed.

Spoiler: Actions[Military - War - 4000 troops march from 47 through 46 and 45 to attack 44A]: When she hears that the new lands they had conquered has camels and little else, Roethye decides that Sextus is far enough north and orders that - after this territory is conquered - the Imperium places a halt on expansion. It's time to put more resources into discovering the mystery of the Silvanus desert. House Navus is given the task of conquering Sextus and bringing it into the imperial fold. They begin by approaching each of the three great clans to see which would be most susceptible to accepting imperial rule.
However, upon hearing that Ambrose and her allies have come under an unprovoked attack, Roethye belays that order and personally takes all of her warriors south through Ambrose lands to deliver retribution to their newfound enemy. House Navus smolders at this delay, but their position in Valkyrie means they do not necessarily need lands right now, and they agree with Roethye:
"This unprovoked, naked aggression towards the League of Allied Provinces shall not go unanswered. My own crown will meet these three in glorious combat, and all shall know: The Primal defend their friends."
[Diplomacy - Stabilize Quintas (197) - Roll (7)]: The newly minted Lady Eventus begins building military bases in Quintas and makes contact with the local Satsujin. She brings as many as she can into her house's service. However, even before she's had the time to prove herself, whispers circle in her House that she is an incompetent even Materius would scoff at.
[Diplomacy 5 - Cultural Identity: Imperial Order]: Fluff: The Primus Imperium - through guile and military might - is very adept at bringing new peoples into the fold. Their rapid expansion has made them extremely adept at making local populations see the benefits of being brought into the imperium, and the direct management of noble houses makes it an attractive proposition. After all, who better to manage one's lands than one who lives there?
And if you don't like your new overlords, you can always depose them.
Mechanics: Bonus to stabilization rolls.
[Military - Raise 1000 land troops]: House Conferrus answers the call to war before most of the other noble houses. While Secundus' warriors are skilled enough, they are slow to mobilize and arm. Fortunately, Conferrus starts recruitment so early that they are quickly able to raise a force for the upcoming campaign.
[Military - Raise 1000 land troops]: House Materius starts mobilizing second, late into year 113, but is able to quickly find 1000 men willing to die in glorious battle. It will have to do as a start.
Spoiler: News and Rumors-High Queen Roethye gives birth to Prince Aurus Primus in late fall of 112.
-Varadia Primus gives birth to Vanara Primus in summer of 112. Her twin Phelnia is visibly upset by her sister's pregnancy and birth, though none are sure why.
-The nobility are finally fed up with how thin their forces are stretched. They need more troops, even if Roethye stops expansion as promised. House Materius in particular begins demanding that Roethye raise troops from lands other than Primus proper, since Primus itself can only raise so many troops so quickly. House Conferrus has already begun producing ships for a proper navy, though currently they do not have any worth using in war.
The news that Roethye is considering bringing troops that they can ill afford to lose southeast to assist Nand of all nations doesn't help matters.
-Roethye prepares to give Secundus to the Kingdom of Berrium in exchange for their aid in the war, and potentially for future vassalhood in the Imperium. House House Conferrus is annoyed, but for the most part this goes smoothly, on the condition that Roethye find new land for them to rule as soon as possible.
And as Roethye points out, House Navus has the duties of the Imperium's diplomatic arm, and doesn't actually need lands right now.
-A young woman of House Navus (the diplomatic noble house of the Imperium) marries Prince Marcus. They have their first child, a daughter named Eisbe Navus. Eisbe is unlikely to succeed to the crown, but she is on a fast track to becoming the head of House Navus.
Spoiler: NotesImperial Army
Primus - 4000
Secundus - 0 (1000 next turn)
Tertius - 0 (1000 next turn)
[Military Specializations]:
Expansionist: High Queen Roethye has adopted a highly expansionist national policy. While she claims that she wishes to incorporate other tribes and cultures willingly, there is an undeniable buildup of military force and an emphasis placed on invading/occupying other nations. (Die roll increase on Military actions made towards invasions/occupations of unclaimed regions)
Ruling noble houses:
Primus (59) and military command: The Royal Family
Secundus (57) and Sextus (196): Conferrus
Tertius (58): Materius
Quartus(47): Bestius
The Silvanus Desert (D2): Aske
Quintas (197) : Eventus
General diplomacy: Navus
Others: Nocturnus
Spoiler: TechnologyMoonsilver Weaponry
Weapon slot. +1 when the enemy uses an armor tech slot, +2 if the same armor tech was faced last round.
Required resource: Moonsilver
Spoiler: Future actionsThese are actions I've discarded but am saving for later just in case.
[Curiosity 5 - Change Resource (Quintas, 197) - Elephants [Minor] ]: House Eventus has attempted to wrangle and capture the elephants of their region, using them as their territory's export in place of what little peyote remains in the territory.
[Curiosity - Exploration - North of Sextus (196)]: House Navus sends explorers north to check the lands between Sextus and the Jade Coalition. At this point, House Nocturnus is not prepared to rule any land because of their succession crisis, but Navus does not plan to take the land anyway.

The Union of Besina's Round 7 actions
Current Council of Uca Jajaka:
- Pralkemiri (72 yrs in power) (eldest)
- Vinariun (38 yrs in power)
- Oshenvar (13 yrs in power)
- [C] In order to further the correspondance with their Aeldir cousins and facilitate their trade with the Stormland Holdings, Bereholst's birch wood has been added to the Luskan Trade Network. {Add 18 to LTN; 18's needs satisfied}
- [C] Wishing to satisfy the needs of their now religiously united people, the Uca Jajaka organize a trade route between all of their lands. {19 and 133's needs satisfied}
- [D] Wishing to finally understand why the people of Primus were so irked by their lack of weapons, the Dhuda Loka gather information on their culture from surrounding areas. Who knew that it was offensive to not have a weapon? Such savages. Next time, bring the Gnolls. Thinking that information about all the other known nations would be helpful in avoiding any more awkward situations, the Dhuda Loka once again gather information from neighboring regions to better understand others. {The Dhuda Loka now have copies of all region writeups; No mechanical effect otherwise}
- [D] [Diplomacy 5] The message of the Children of the Earth has one particular advantage over that of the other faiths: the Earth's influence actively helps all life, while the other so-called 'gods' remain aloof and let their adherents suffer. As this idea spreads throughout the Union, their fervor grows. What kind of an individual would turn their back on that which gives them life? Why would they not value their own being? With this, specialized missionary parties of the zealous (called 'Lifewakers,' as they wish to awaken a love of life) rise throughout the region, dedicating themselves to the Uca Jajaka and promising never to give up until the world sees the greatness of the Earth. {CI: The Lifewakers: roll 2d8 for conversion}
- [F] [Faith 5] With the burst of fervor caused by the emergence of the Lifewakers, the Uca Jajaka praise their zeal and anoint them as the official guardians of the faith, blessing them and granting them permanent residence at the base of Vada Pahara. They are instructed to wait until a month has passed to prove their restraint, and when that time is up they will be permitted to spread the sacred message of life and the earth itself. {Holy Order}

Elder Abbot Frerick
Diplomacy: 3
Military: 3
Curiosity: 1
Faith: 8
Population: 500
As the religious fervor borne from the crater of Dhuda Besina begins to latch onto the lands near the base of the Grand Church and the efforts in Sasanand continue to fail many within the Grand Church once opposed to the adaption of Daen to a matronly figure begin to see Avonlea as the only bastion of the faith remaining. Even a heretical view is better than the views of infidels many reason. Still, the complete move over to the so-called "New Order of Daen" is far from total or complete and Frerick still refrains from genderfying Daen.
The call from the Gesh for proselytization is much debated within the Grand Church. While welcome converts should be brought into the fold so too must the Church preserve itself and turning the Aeldir into a threat to the Church's already precarious position is deemed unwise especially given Geshemefar's less than fine history between the Stormland Holdings and by proxy Avonlea who seeks friendship with the Holdings. Eventually it is agreed to send some missionaries to the Gesh but effort will be split between the small folk and the people of the Holdings that the Church might avoid over-association with the equally unstable Gesh while in their own precarious position.

This new trade invigorates the kingdom's production and the Kingdom sends letters across the world to Anceris that it might stretch beyond the Kingdom's own borders, inviting the League of Allied Provinces, specifically Ambrose, to join the Dandric Road with their silver.
Furthermore, promises of Secundus from the Primus Imperium in exchange for their aid in this war with the Prevaz as well as hopes that this showing will encourage the Ambrosans to acede to their trade needs the Knight Protector sends units alongside those of the High Queen to invade the lands of the Artistry.

The Grey Empire, at its current expanse without risking war with some kingdom or another begins to dance the dance of the diplomat, reaching out to those capable of offering chance for expanse. Perhaps the Empire may yet be afforded the chance to grow beyond its humble existence.
Making announcement of its intent the Grey Empire sides with the League of Allied Provinces against the Three Crowns. Some within the Empire object given the friendly relations fostered by the Prevaz in previous years but the incorporation of Region 30 without bloodshed silences many of these opponents. So too does the potential expansion onto the western mainland which might grow further the Empire's strength.

The Zol now satisfied by the fleet along the Coalition's coast begin to lobby in the Council for the support of the Niebisk measure to expand the army and institute integrated training regimens between sailors and soldiers in the defensive techniques paramount to the preservation of the Coalition. The measure is caught in a tie by the Council as some believe the time has come to return the Coalition's attentions to the improvement of the Coalition while others still express their fear about the size and power of the southern and eastern realms now known to them. The Krolzer breaks the tie in favor of the more militant representatives and the training and mustering begins immediately.
While a portion of the realm's funds and efforts are allocated to these new programs the elevation of standards within the Puldine Acreage as promised by the joining of the Coalition proceeds apace. First their infrastructure is in need of repair, or in most places complete construction and work begins on building aqueducts and roads to facilitate the region's growth and development. Re: [EMPIRE 2] IC Thread
The Grand Principality of Anceris
Grand Princess Alessandra de Altan
Pleased at the successes in Kherson and elsewhere, the Grand Princess plans the celebrations of her Silver Jubilee almost as an empress preparing a grand triumph. Leaders far and wide are invited and nearly every noble in the Grand Principality is to be in attendance. Some say that Alessandra planned to make an announcement before the gathered luminaries, but none was forthcoming leaving many to wonder just why she felt the need to schedule meetings with all of her vassals both individually and in groups. Others however merely put it down to the vast quantities of work that come from integrating so much territory. After all, there are navies and armies to integrate, coinage standards to rework and legal difficulties to resolve, but all are confident she's got it under control.
Despite these successes, the Grand Princess is not happy at the continual delays in the East with more wholesome means and authorises her diplomats to be more "diplomatic".
1: [Diplomacy] With the recent brief from the Grand Princess, Contessa Acone is dispatched to assist Adrian Dalca in persuading the locals of the land beyond Kherson and Vallis Khoya to swear fealty to Anceris. Fabricate claim on 251.
2: [Diplomacy] Lord Ferrador travels to the region between Cerilin and Regnalin and immediately begins bribing local officials and rulers that they have always been a part of Anceris. Fabricate claim on 276.
3: [Curiosity] Following negotiations with the Wandering Clans, the regions of Anceris, Cerilin, Vallis Khoya and Regnalin are added to the Blackspire Pass Trade Route. Note: This is possible due to the skip five coastal regions rule.
4: [Curiosity] With the local economy in Kyrra on the verge of collapse due to a lack of coin, provisions are made with the cooperation of Zlaten nobles to ship gold bullion to the island such that it might be minted into coins. In short, add Kyrra to the Strada Costiera Tramuntana-Nofsinhar, which shall henceforth be known simply as the Strada Costiera. because writing out Strada Costiera Tramuntana-Nofsinhar every time I want to refer to it is going to be a pain and besides, the route hasn't aligned itself along the axis I predicted. As it stands it should be the Strada Costiera Ivant-Punent, but that sounds silly. Sorry Malta.
5: [Diplomacy] Host the Silver Jubilee of Alessandra de Altan.
Spoiler: News and RumoursAn official apology is sent to the Cahoosa regarding the Ancerin attempt to acquire territory the Cahoosa have claimed. Anceris acknowledges its overzealousness and failure to respect the sovereign rights of the Confederation and promises to correspond more actively with Cahoosan geographers regarding territories to the north of the Ceril Sea in future.
Some suspect the Grand Princess wishes to create some sort of parliament or assembly based on the currently existing Civic Diet of Azandria. While not everyone thinks this is likely or practical, all agree that the more far flung territories would appreciate a proper forum to bring their grievances before the Pearl Throne.
Meanwhile, Commodore Rosa gets an official commendation for the explorations he has undertaken on behalf of the Pearl Throne and receives a knighthood, making him Sir Luciano Rosa. He does not get a pay rise or a vacation.

The Great Clans of Nifhel
The Harbringer Lochbar
- Impressed by the resilience and stubbornness of the Veiled Lady, the Harbinger has decided to return Chief Harod to the temple in exchange for K'juuda and grant him his lands back, with the warning that in due time the Nifhel shall return to claim their vassal once their inferiors have been placated. (Secede Region 266 to Chief Harod in exchange for K'juuda[Diplomacy]
- Focusing his sights inward, the Harbinger moves to consolidate his grip over the heathen territories and grants free rights for any lesser Clan to leave Nifhel and colonize their neighboring regions, much to the annoyance of the Four Great Clans. [Diplomacy]
- The Horsemen Famine begins to restructure the current laws and punishments for traitors, deserters, and those who are captured in battle in light of the presence of K'juuda in Nifelic politics. Seeing this rather skillful political maneuvering, the Harbinger brings in the Horsemen Famine for consulting and planning the systemic oppression and placation of future territories the Great Clans acquire, especially after hearing of the tumultuous rebellion in the East that has embroiled War in a bloody skirmish. (Dip 5 Cultural Identity: Stabilize Regions) [Diplomacy]
- Infuriated by all of the progress lost in converting and ingratiating the Grimmson Clan amongst the primitive population of Region 266, the Horsemen Pestilence attempts to reclaim whatever political power he can by entering into negotiations with Chief Harod to keep a Grimmson encampment on the outskirts of his newly reclaimed territory. [Diplomacy]
- If the heathens will not roll over and peacefully accept their new superiors, then the Horsemen War must simply beat it into them. Rallying every freeblade and raider with the lust for battle in their veins and the desire to attain glory on the battle field, War rides to crush this petty rebellion and exterminate any hope of resistance these mongrels could hope for. The VenatonSpoiler: Religion
Spoiler: General BeliefThe Venaton is the belief that once on dies all go to the same afterlife ;even those who do not worship it ;but with a catch. This afterlife is known as The Eternal Hunt, this is no leisurely afterlife with perfection to your personal needs, it is constant action of the strong believers hunting the weak and non-believers who attempt to run. When one dies they are judged by Venator The Great Hunter who represents the sentient beings of the world. Once judged Venator will put you in one of 2 roles, the hunter and the hunted. Venator judges you by your feats in life your style in life and if you are a believer or not. In the role of being The Hunter you can be placed in 4 different hunting packs, the hunting pack of Durk the Lion, Trake the Serpent, Delfy the Owl and Venator The Great Hunter based on your feats and style of life. In the role of the hunted you have no pact, no friends or allies. The ultimate goal of this religion is to be in the pack of Venator to roam the afterlife freely hunting where and when you please.
Spoiler: Durk's PackDurk is a Lion who leads the pack of Durk. The pack of Durk takes hunting grounds in the Savannah area of the afterlife. The pack hunts with great ferocity and never gives up on the chase. Re: [EMPIRE 2] IC Thread
Round Eight: Begin!
Years 114-115 of the Aenic Calendar
Don’t forget to link to any rolls you make for ANY Attribute checks, plus rolls for rulers you will start using at the start of next round. If you want a new ruler in the next round, you must state so in your action post for this round and link to their rolls. Any increases from actions for this round are counted for the ruler you start your next round with (because it’s handier to account for by the co-GM), which may or may not be your current ruler.
Good luck!
Rules Changes!
When performing a rolled action, the action being rolled must be clearly specified and related to each roll in the dice rolling thread even if performing multiple actions of the same type.
When establishing or expanding a trade route, please keep fluff within the action to a minimum, take it to news and rumors. Also, please list region names and numbers involved.
Growth!
The Tillwell stabilizes under the Summer Court!
The Summer Court joins the Rose Courts!
Region 135 stabilizes under Lignummus!
The White Isles (30) are transferred from the League of Allied Provinces to the Grey Empire!
Established on the precipice of war and broken by it the Prevazan Artisry’s Great Kingdom of the Kingdom of the Three Crowns crumbles before it can begin and its vassals are left without an effective liege freeing them from vassalage!
The Nifhel surrender Region 266 to the independent governance of Chief Herod!
Investigate!
Colonize!
Avonlea successfully colonizes Region 79!
Adrax Awaria successfully colonizes Region 132!
Shafarstan successfully colonizes Region 328!
Geshemefar successfully colonizes Region 97!
The Five Tribes Syndicate successfully colonizes Region 114!
Claim!
The Cahoosa Confederation, now well versed in deceptive contracts and the threatening pressures of their mighty army coerce and arrange for the integration of Region 233 into their tribal expanse. The joining of the region into the Confederation might even seem voluntary to any not paying attention. [Claim 1/1]
The Cahoosa Confederation, now well versed in deceptive contracts and the threatening pressures of their mighty army coerce and arrange for the integration of Region 273 into their tribal expanse. The joining of the region into the Confederation might even seem voluntary to any not paying attention. [Claim 1/1]
Utilizing the attack by the Grey Empire as a spring board for pushing on the falsified claims of the Nevarri League to the region the victory against the Greys but loss of their defensive force allows the Nevarri to scoop up Region 34 along with Duke Bolwitz (4 round service) and bring them into the fold. [Claim 1/1]
Utilizing the attack by the Grey Empire as a spring board for pushing on the falsified claims of the Nevarri League to the region the victory against the Greys and integration of their southern neighbors prompts the people of Region 36 and Baron Von Straus (4 round service) to support the somewhat dubious claims of relation to the Nevarri League. [Claim 1/1]
Convert!
Region 145 now contains Sole Order of the Eternal Soul!
The Silver Spires now contains a Daen Majority!
Evergale Valley now contains a Daen Majority!
Puesto Kagun now contains a Pale Lady Minotity!
Puesto Azandi now contains a Pale Lady Minotity!
The Venaton emerges as a unified religion with a Majority in Petravolan and a Minority in Primo Crure!
The Doctrine of the Nine Candles is divided squarely into two camps with the war between the Kingdom of the Three Crowns and the League of Allied Provinces. Those who believe the declaration of war by followers of the Doctrine and the naked aggression displayed by the Fiid in their expansion under the banner of the Nine Candles are gross violations and misunderstandings of the teaching declare themselves the Ninth Peace and publicly avow their ninth virtue to be Peace. Those who support these actions as the necessary means to ensure the survival and spread of the Doctrine accept the moniker of the Ninth Struggle with some pronouncing struggle as their ninth virtue and others boldly proclaiming it to be war.
The leader of the Ninth Peace, the Ascetic Qorobus Daiy approaches the leaders of the Prevazan Artistry and begs them to end this war, surrender if necessary, and refocus their efforts away from war and instead upon peace and the development of the spirit. The Ascetic offers to build a monastery within Prevaz lands and aid in these efforts in the years to come if peace is restored and war abandoned.
The leader of the Ninth Struggle, Ascetic Marandia Uthri approaches the High Tirk of the Fiid and encourages the war to continue. Offering her service and the service of five thousand eager warriors of the Ninth Struggle as well as her own formidable strategic mind in fighting back against the heathens of the north as well as the offer to build a monastery where warriors of the faith might come to train to further the advancement of the militant path of the Ninth Struggle.
Only one of these monasteries can exist and choosing one will set forth the direction of the codified Doctrine for years to come.
War!
[112] The Rose Courts conquer Region 24. If it isn’t stabilized soon it could prove troublesome! [Conquest 1/1]
[112] Northern Aardrosil conquers Region 267. If it isn’t stabilized soon it could prove troublesome! [Conquest 1/1]
[112] The League of Allied Provinces conquer Region 5. If it isn’t stabilized soon it could prove troublesome! Tragically, the League of United Provinces' campaign in region 5 is not without incident as Princess Hannah is killed! Although the precise circumstances are unclear - some say she simply fell from her mount, others that she died in a skirmish with natives, none dispute that she is dead.
[112] The Grey Empire is repelled by the native forces, led by an expert tactician and facing only a minor Grey Admiral the Grey siege is broken quickly and the entirety of the armada burned in the bay.

[113] Abrahaia's March reached the Tillwell capital only to find Lord Summer and his Rangers waiting for the Gesh rebel and his army. It was a slaughter with the rebelling Geshem unable to inflict even a modicum of damage on the entrenched Aeldir forces. The efforts taken to prove the folly of rebellion by Lord Summer along with the demonstrated might of the Aeldir Court ends the rebellion now and likely for generations to come.

[113] The Nifhel's massive armies are more than enough to overcome the moderate commander of Chief Kay even with advantageous weather and geography. The rebellion is crushed although the infliction of losses upon the Nifhel horde leads some to mutter of the potential of a unified rebellion across multiple provinces. The Harbinger will need to ensure the people of this region understand that the Great Clans now rule them if another rebellion is to be avoided in the future.

[113] King Alvin's blustering confidence in his tactical superiority to the unrecognized King Theodon to his south may have been his undoing. Despite years of marshaling experience and a fighting force twice the size of Theodon's native force the Lignummese King faces severe and utter defeat and is captured by the southern King. Though weakened Theodon's forces retain control within the region and the petty king writes to Alvin's successor offering to return Alvin to his homeland if Theodon and the region he claims dominion over is left free from the expansion of the Lignummese or their Crystal Union.

[113] The League of Allied Provinces invasion of Nogr (42) is unopposed with Three Crowns forces elsewhere to meet the League and allies. The region may still prove troublesome if left un-stabilized. [Conquest 1/1]
[113] The League of Allied Provinces's invasion of Blarhiminn (43) is met off the coast by the combined naval forces of the significant naval forces of the Nevarri League and the small Fiid navy. Despite the small size of the Fiid's presence on the water the High Tirk demonstrates his tactical acumen by commanding a cunning defensive ploy that forces the League's navy to waste its time committing to one area only to find the Three Crowns had doubled back for a totally different maneuver. The constant harrying and steady loss of ships while gaining no advantage forces the League to retreat although the difficulty in translating and currying orders between the Fiid and Nevarri fleet proves its own trouble and a number of vessels are lost due to miscommunication.

1 Fiid Unit Lost

[113] With equally seasoned commanders and a flat expanse of land offering little advantage to either side the battle in Aneth (44A) comes down to bodies fielded, a competition the sprawling League of Allied Provinces along with the aid of Berrium and Primus readily wins. The fields of battle are choked with blood by the end of the long campaign and the Three Crowns forces are pushed back out of the region.
Led by the Primal Queen it is the Primus Imperium that claims the region for her burgeoning kingdom. Growth at any and all costs. The bedraggled forces of both sides prepare to mourn their dead and prepare for the future. It is prayed for by the families of the living and the dead that this great campaign might be the end of this war.
"Ten thousand and more. Twisted and wretched upon the field with the carrion birds blanketing upon them like a quilt of death." This and more commentary written in a pocketbook purportedly given to a Nevarri soldier by an unknown blonde woman. Reports of this blonde woman tending to the wounded occur from soldiers on both sides and some refer to her as an agent of the divine. Nobody knew where she came from, and she disappeared after the battle. Some say they saw her heading North, others that she likely returned to the heavens from whence she came. [Conquest 1/1]

Terror!
[114] Lady Eventus of the Primus Imperium finds herself more and more embroiled in the Honmyo of Quintas and begins attempts to integrate into the region’s culture. The Lady is successful and the Satsujin flock to her service but her involvement soon overwhelms her duties to the High Queen and taxes are not collected and tithes left unpaid. The region seems set to subsume its asserted Lady and dissolve her of her Primal heritage and loyalty. (Quintas is in Unrest)
[114] High Queen Roethye is found dead in her royal chambers, the victim of a heinous assassination! A number of witnesses come forward and claim to have seen men in black billowing clothes matching the stories of Satsujin from the writings of Quintas explorers as having been seen fleeing the royal palace the night of the assassination. (Roll a new ruler for stats applying in Round 8)
[114] With war looming to the north the Fiid's planned execution of the People's King is delayed until the High Tirk returns. Following the victory off the coast of Blarhiminn the High Tirk returns to exact his justice upon the rebel only to find him escaped from the cells. A band of rogues and robbers claim credit from among the relative safety of the deep salt flats and announce their plans to march upon the High Tirk once again. The people seem anxious about the whole affair, unsure whether to support the criminals or their conquerors. (Rasp is in unrest)
[114] Across Arandi the people find their needs unmet and their trading unsatisfactory. Such unhappy subjects could be troublesome for the rulers. (The following regions are in unrest until their trade needs are met [in some cases written up and defined so that they may be met by an existing trade route in which case the unrest will disappear within the round] or until placated by a diplomacy roll. Successfully rolling to stabilize will stabilize the region through the end of Round 10 [barring outside destabilizing events]. Acquiring the desired import will stabilize the region automatically and until the region suffers instability factors outside trade. Unrest does not prevent any actions being taken involving the region but does mean the region one step from rebellion)

[115] Grand Sheep Jack XII is found murdered in his bed, the apparent victim of strangulation. Heavy marks about his throat suggest that whoever accomplished this assassination wore a thick metal glove. The people of Adrax Awaria are deeply frightened by this brazen murder of their leader and look to his successor with trepidation. What this means or why it was done remains unknown. (Roll new ruler for stats applied for Round 9)

Other!
[114] In Conlarbores villages among the mountain foothills have reported an increased number of missing persons to their local stewards and lords. Most are suspected to have been lost among the dangerous mountain passes to nature and while the increase is negligible among individual villages the total increase shows an alarming trend that may be indicative of something more heinous.
[115] House Conferrus of the Primus Imperium is blessed with the birth of a daughter however this blessing is soon taken to be a curse for the girl is born with all black eyes and ruby red skin. The child is saved from execution as the reincarnation of a wicked ruler before the emergence of the line of Roethye by a wet nurse who disappears into hiding with the babe. Whether a demon or cursed by the gods is unknown but House Conferrus urges the High Queen to find and destroy the child before it can grow into a threat.Last edited by QuintonBeck; 2016-01-19 at 10:23 AM.

League of Allied Provinces of Ambrose, Nand and Krozna (Queen of Nand)
Round 8 | 114 - 115
News and Rumours
- The horrors of the battle in Aneth seem to take a heavy toll on the queen, even moreso when the messengers arrive from the east soon afterwards to inform her that her daughter is dead.
- Within weeks it becomes apparent that her spirit, if not her mind, is broken. In late 114 she abdicates, leaving her son to take the throne as Isfandir IV.
- Many around the kingdom seize on the tragedy of Princess Hannah's death at such a young age and begin to consider her a saint. A group calling themselves the Cult of the Martyred Virgin emerges and begins constructing shrines in memory of the late princess, with quiet encouragement from the crown.
Spoiler: Actions
1. [Military 10] Technology: Thezirin-Riding
2. [Military] Train a regiment of archers in Aranand.
3. [Military] Train a regiment of Jojone infantry in Piruzikhet.
4. [Military] Train a regiment of Stathos infantry.
5. [Military] Train a regiment of Palanka shock troops.
6. [Military] Build a squadron of ships in Krozna.
Spoiler: New Technology: Thezirin-Riding
The most common riding animal in Nand is the thezirin, as horses are not well suited to the hot climate and camelids are not found in the region. Thezirins are carnivorous reptilian creatures which can reach around six feet tall at the shoulder. Although they are principally bipedal, their front legs are powerful and can be used for running. Each of their feet is tipped with long claws, making them powerful military assets, and they are ridden into combat by Nanda knights and raiders.
The thezirin's weight and ferocity relative to a horse, and indeed its naturally tough skin, makes up to an extent for the light armour and equipment carried by the cavalry and which precludes the development of true heavy cavalry in any significant numbers. A charge by thezirin cavalry with skilled riders is capable of breaching even some of the toughest defensive formations. The recent wars conducted by the Nanda have seen increasing development of thezirin tactics and training of new riders to an unprecedented degree, as well as the introduction of new saddles and harness to increase their effectiveness on the battlefield.

Re: [EMPIRE 2] IC Thread
The Broken Artistry
Nine flames, nine wings, three crowns, one king...
OOC disclaimer: descriptions of the actions below are IC and are not to be taken in a OOC context, thank you.
Actions:
1. Grant the Nevarri the rights to Blarhiminn and region 41. (Dip)
2. Explorer explore under Skianz in search for an area to live in. Against all odds, they find a new place call home. (Cur, L10)
3. Colonize region 164. The region will be called Ragnys. Roll: 23. DC: 12. Success! (Dip)
4. Colonize region 163. The explorers call the region New Aneth. Roll: 25. DC: 12. Success! (Dip)
5. Investigate the mysterious healer in the battle of Aneth, getting help from the Nevarri. Try to convince her to lend her aid to the Artistry, as some see her as a glorious example what the Nine Candles stands for. Roll: 17 (Cur)
Non-Actions:
- Deport the Nand "ambassador" out of Artistry lands. He will be left alone outside one of the Skyways. He is entirely unharmed.
- Recall the Prevazan representative that was left in Spring Aeldir lands. Bring the Aeldir Spring girl in the Artistry back to the Springlands. The Aeldir are thanked for the cultural exchange in a friendly manner. They also say that they would like to continue the cultural exchange at a later stage, if the diplomatic ties and circumstances allow it.
- Besides some minor cultural information, of of the representatives was being left in the dark as much as possible regarding land layout and tactical information.
Spoiler: Fluff actions 2, 3 and 42. Getting pushed (from their rather biased and frightful point of view) to the brink of annihilation, stuck and suffering due to forced and entirely pointless sanctions, the Prevaz set their gaze in the only direction they have not searched in yet that could lead away from the vultures circling above them... Under Skianz itself, deeper into the depths.
3. Out of Blarhiminn, the Valkyrja General makes her way towards region 164, intent on finding new lands where her people can settle in relative peace for the time being. The region is called Ragnys.
4. From the ruins of Aneth, a colonizing party consisting of Himinn, Whansis and Prevaz arrive in region 163 under the leadership of the Trademaster of Aneth, intent of making a new home for themselves, safe from photosystesising dwarves and northern vultures. They call the region New Aneth.Last edited by WaylanderX; 2016-01-22 at 11:41 PM.
